The flavor is amazing, the portion is generous, and the price is very reasonable for the quality and amount of crab you get. Another thing I love is the location. The food truck is inside a mall, so you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable air-conditioned space without having to deal with the Maui heat. Great food, great value, and a comfortable place to eat. The vegetables were pretty meh but did help bring more of the sauce to the palate. Yes, the sauce was good, right on the verge of too much soy, but they did a good job keeping it balanced. The salmon portion size was small, but not insultingly tiny. Could have been a bit larger for the $15, the value is not there only if you compare to what you make at home, otherwise it's probably disappointedly normal. When you get your six inch diameter bowl you will see what I mean. The heap of rice made for good entertainment feeding the chickens. You're discouraged from feeding them so I just sat the bowl down behind the coffee guys trailer and watched them pig out. The prices are extremely fair and the woman who owns this truck quite literally doesn't allow you to tip. She takes your card and skips the tip section on the service iPad. My wife and I went here three separate times on our honeymoon in Hawaii and we wished we had gone more. We actually showed up after hours one day and the owner stayed open an extra 40 minutes to make us our food. She is genuinely so kind and so skilled. We tried the pineapple fried rice, the mahi curry, the massaman curry, papaya salad, green mango salad, pad thai and the mahi ginger stir fry. Each item is fresh and delicious. 10/10, no notes. The seating is outside and secluded. Very relaxed and calm. The seating is all shaded by large trees and some canopy style canvas.
