I don't write reviews very often, but I was genuinely surprised to see that this food truck has so few reviews. It easily outshines any other Thai food truck I've tried on the island. The crab fried rice is phenomenal. Unlike many places that skimp on the crab, this dish is loaded with real lump crab that you can actually see and taste in every bite. The flavor is amazing, the portion is generous, and the price is very reasonable for the quality and amount of crab you get. Another thing I love is the location. The food truck is inside a mall, so you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable air-conditioned space without having to deal with the Maui heat. Great food, great value, and a comfortable place to eat. This hidden gem deserves far more attention than it's getting. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving it a try. read more

I would say that they are fairly priced for the quality of their food. Probably the best Thai food we've had in this island so far. Their fried crab rice is legit and tasty for $22. Literally stumbled upon this inside food truck after coming out of Safeway. I ordered the green curry with chicken and it was SO good. There was so much chicken and veggies it was packed with deliciousness. It came with white rice and mixing the 2 was perfect. The ordering process is super easy and they have tap to pay. The employee was very nice and the service was quick! They have tables right there if you wish to eat right away, but I took it to go and they packed it great and it was still piping hot when I got to my hotel 10min away. Best Thai food that Ive tried on West Maui. Trying this place for the second time. The first time, I will admit it was just okay and wasnt sure about it. But they have perfected their food after opening. Thai Ono is part of several other indoor trucks at the Cannery Mall next to Safeway. Really nice concept for eating inside with lots of seating. On some days they have hula or live music and that's a real treat! I got the green curry (thai spicy) and the shrimp fried rice. Both 10/10. If I could give it more rating I would. The flavors really came together, the portions were just right and the fried rice alone would have me eating there everyday. Dont forget to treat yourself with a Thai Tea to complete the meal. Went to the truck at the mail area. They had an oxtail soup as a daily dish. With a bottle of water my cost was $32. There was one piece of oxtail and 97% of it was fat!!! Not exaggerating. We came here after our half day snorkel tour to Molokini and it did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is located inside a small indoor mall between Safeway and the ABC store. It's so nice with AC and a clean bathroom and being out in the sun all day. We ordered Pad see ew Beef, Pad Thai shrimp, mango Salad with fried fish, mangoes with sticky rice and couple Thai ice tea. It was all da bomb. The portions are huge which is good to take home for a snack later. We will come back to Maui and eat here again! Lahaina strong, eat local, peace and love. read more

Came here to eat after our whale watching boat tour. This spot is inside the Lahaina Cannery, operating out of an indoor food truck at their food court. We got here about noon and the place was relatively empty. Tables were readily available. A nice place to rest. We had the chicken pad se ew and Thai basil stir fry with tofu. Both were tasty and authentic (by my standards anyway. I'm not Thai, but have eaten my share of Thai food). They had "wok hay". Portion size and prices were reasonable. so-so Thai food. Pad Thai has all of the sugar, but not much of the taste the dish should have. Swimming in plenty of oil, the shrimp and chicken versions we tried were underwhelming. We ordered several dishes and while the portions were large, the flavor was worse than wimpy. AND THEN after spending over $100 with them for the menu items, they refused to give me one cup of tap water. They wanted me to buy plastic bottled water. Why chisel me and make more waste for the LANDFILL? How cheap can you be? Shame! read more

Who would have thought a food truck inside one of our westside malls would become a favorite! The quality of ingredients are always fresh, the taste -balance of ingredients hits perfectly with their curries, stir fry's and daily specials. Thai tea is a perfect balance as well, often times they are too sweet or too "bitter", theirs is just right. There is plenty of seating or nicely wrapped to go. Never a mess! Stopped by on a Sat and saw the food trucks were open. Wasn't super hungry but wanted to try the Thai food. Ordered Shrimp Tom Yum, Chicken Drunken Noodle and Thai Tea. The food came out piping hot and was delicious! The drunken noodle had the right amount of heat that didnt over power the dish. The Tom yum had a great balance between hot and sour. The tea wasn't overly sweet and went great with the dishes ordered. With it being inside the mall, it was nice to be able to sit inside with air conditioning. We'll definitely be back! read more
