3 meat plate -Mahi Mahi -Coconut Shrimp -Huli Huli Chicken

We absolute LOVED Lahaina Grindz!!! We got this on our first night in Maui just as a quick dinner option so we wouldn't have to worry about reservations, and we can honestly say by the end of the week, the food from Lahaina Grindz was by far our favorite in both taste and value, so much so we cancelled a reservation we had for our last night and went back to Lahaina Grindz instead. The fact we got a 3 meat plate with very generous serving sizes for only $28 each practically blew our mind. We paid WAY more for much less desirable food elsewhere, including highly-rated sit down restaurants. If you're on the hunt for a delicious bang for your buck either for lunch or dinner, this should definitely be on your radar!!!

One of the simpler looking food trucks at the Honoapiilani Food Truck Park, the surfing lizard mascot shows off their Hawaiian meat plates served with Mac salad and rice. We were able to try any 3 of their meats by ordering the Big Kahuna Trio plate and were able to choose vegetables or macaroni salad to go with the rice on the side. It hit the spot for the meat lover! The mahi mahi was cooked nicely and was my favorite of the meats we tried-- meaty but not dry (I don't like my fish flaky!). MT's favorite was the chicken katsu (breaded and fried) which was sauced up with their own version of tonkatsu sauce. The kalbi ribs were very salty and tasted mostly of soy sauce (pass on this one). The furikake rice has a large amount of salt on it too, so it was overall quite a salty meal. As for the veggies, they seemed partially sautéed and partially steamed (soft but a bit buttery as well). Overall, a big and tasty meal with a good variety, but it was on the saltier side. Service was friendly, and they only take cash. Prices are a bit pricey but comparable to the other food trucks in the area. Parking is in the back gravel lot. There are plenty of picnic tables in the area, and the string lights and crowd of people make it a lively scene at night. :)

Good loco moco for a food truck! Food was out in a decent amount of time. Hangout at the food trucks was really chill!

I have been trying to find a spot that served kalbi ribs near my hotel & was lucky to find this food truck spot. My husband and I ordered the kalbi rib plate & roasted pork plate. Both very delicious, lots of flavor & good portions. Staff is very friendly, we waited no longer than 10 min. Happy to have found this spot.

From our resort villa, we online ordered a large Crispy Pata, $46, and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes! Our Crispy Pata and a box of rice and dipping sauces were ready and waiting for us! It was delicious; fatty, crunchy, and full of flavor! This Crispy Pata lasted us quite a few meals, which we added to saimin, or rice. If you want great local Filipino/Asian fare, come to Joey's Kitchen in Napili. I am sorry that we missed the opening of their new restaurant, Dang Dang Noodles, by a few days. Next visit!

While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

I told her I was still working on it and she put it down and walked away. We asked to order ice cream. Waited about 20-30 mins and she never came back to bring the dessert. Finally we asked her again and she brought it out. We asked for the bill when the ice cream finally came out and again we waited probably another 10 mins before she brought the check. When we were ready to pay, she scanned our card and waited while we selected tip. We said we would pay tip in cash. This rude waitress stood by us waiting for us to hand her the cash tip. WHO DOES THAT!!! This lady was so rude and I would highly recommend finding another place to eat because there are so many better options. Whoever runs this place should really invest in customer service training for their employees...

I ordered the bento combo and daughter got the fish tacos. The fish tacos were good and she enjoyed them. Chips pretty tasty but a basic jarred salsa My bento was fantastic overall. Fish stick and slaw above average at least. Now kalbi ribs and rice, tasty pickled veg but would have loved some kimchee! The hot wings were fantastic but really hard to eat spicy messy wings like this in public so I saved two for a snack later. A couple came in after us, got menus and drinks BEFORE we even got menus or were even greeted by our waitresses. They probably assumed they had more money. The food was mediocre at best. The burger was tough and dry. The fish tacos were dripping in sauce. The bento box had good rice and short ribs. The fried fish was just thrown straight into the tartar sauce. Way to assume the amount people want. The fish and chips were fine. Absolutely nothing justifies their prices other than their expensive location. Seating outside in the back includes a stupidly loud live band where you can't hear other people at your table talk. Depending on what time you go, you also get baked alive. There's no fans, you're just hoping for the wind to blow and unfortunately it wasn't the day we went. It was just hot as hell. You don't even see the water while dining there. Beautiful views, incredible food, and surprisingly family-friendly!…read more While visiting Maui, we made a reservation at The Plantation House, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. The bread came with chive butter that was so flavorful, and the bread itself was warm and delicious. There was also live music, which made the ambience even better--just an all-around beautiful place to relax and enjoy a meal. Bonus points for free valet, which made parking super easy. For food, we got the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, which was really good, slightly on the sweeter side, but still flavorful. The Hawaiian short ribs were a standout for me: super tender, perfectly cooked, and just packed with flavor. We also ordered the panko crusted calamari, which I loved. The pieces were thick, juicy, and had a light, crispy coating that wasn't greasy at all, really easy to eat. Portions were also very decent. I also saw their breakfast menu and now I definitely want to come back to try it soon!
