I called in an order for pad see ew with chicken and papaya salad. They 86d papaya salad, so I ordered summer rolls with shrimp instead. The girl who answered the phone told me to pick up in 10 min. I also got a Thai iced tea with coconut milk when I picked up the food. The summer rolls were a mess , I would not recommend. It's one big roll, rolled very loosely. Spring rolls are your friend. So me and my friends were having a rough day. It just seemed like everything we did this day would go wrong. One thing led to another and we found ourselves in Makawao. The girls wanted to shop and I mainly just wanted to chill. I was getting hungry but wasn't sure when my next meal was coming so I decided to get a snack somewhere. On the main street there is an area with a lot of food stands. Parking is a little rough. You'll need to get lucky with a street park if you wanna be close by. If you don't mind walking, there is a parking lot around the corner. As for the location of this place, you'll notice it right away probably. Theres a hotdog spot, a coffee spot, and in the back a Thai stand. This is where you want to go. I don't even know if it specifically has a name on Yelp. I tried to find it but to no luck. If anyone does know what it is, feel free to message me. However for what I ordered, it is quite simple. The Kalua pork Spring Rolls. I needed a win. After the day we were having I just needed something tasty and comforting and these Spring Rolls did the trick. In all honesty, I thought the flavor would be more heavy on the Kalua Pork itself but oddly enough the overall flavor still had that typical spring roll taste to it which made me love them even more. Theres a good balance between the actual veggies inside to the Kalua Pork itself. It also comes with a sweet chili dipping sauce which I feel most people are used to. These spring rolls were bomb. This food truck is located at the Makawao Marketplace just down the street from Komoda Bakery. While chatting with another vendor across the way, he raved about their food and mentioned it was the among the best Thai food he's had on island. They grow their own produce (hence the name, Farm Fresh) and make their food from scratch. They have a good amount of choices that include summer rolls, noodles, curries, soups, and salads. They also have thai tea, coffee, sugarcane juice, & coconut tapioca. We ordered the summer rolls which come with cucumber, lettuce, bean sprouts, carrot, avocado, and protein of your choice wrapped in rice paper and served with tropical seasonal fruit. We got the chicken! Not sure why my other half didn't get shrimp, lol, but honestly even with ALL the veggies, it was actually surprisingly quite tasty! The roll paired well with the dipping sauce and tasted very fresh. My husband also got the green curry. The coconut milk, green curry paste, ginger, lemongrass, chili and sweet basil and chicken really came together wonderfully. I wouldn't normally get a dish like that, but I tried a few bites and I enjoyed it too. Overall, great first experience. Absolutely delicious. We had a 45 minute drive but it was a no-brainer because it was TOTALLY worth it. The service was very pleasant and the ladies who cooked/served my food were very kind. Great little spot on one of the main drags through Makawao. I ordered the Tom yum soup with seafood, as well as the shrimp fried rice. Can't remember the name of what hubs ordered, but essentially, it was chicken and mixed vegetables in a light brown sauce. We both enjoyed our meals. The only slight bummer for me was that she was limited in the variety of seafood she had that day, so instead of more shellfish, she had to substitute a white fish that I didn't find overly satisfying. Dishonest business practices and unimpressive food. Beware they seem to prey on tourists. I was an easy to spot tourist, and went to this small "food truck park" to get the "Drunken Noodles" with Tofu, "Pineapple Fried Rice" with Beef and a Thai Iced Tea. According to posted prices it should have been around $36 but the middle-aged woman who seemed to speak no English rang it up as "1 custom order" $46 (there is an ipad outside where you can see the charges). I told her that didn't line up with what I ordered and she frowned, seemed to curse and walked away to get a cook to whom I had to explain our order. He keyed it in correctly, while the woman was bickering in the background. Sorry lady don't make it your day job to rip off tourists! I asked for a cup of ice cubes but was told $3 for a cup of ice cubes. Rock on man! I don't need your unsanitary ice cubes that badly. Drunken noodles were okay, pineapple fried rice was dry with very tough beef, clearly the lowest of the low grade meats. After waiting for 50 mins straight I was told my order was missed and they didn't even start preparing it. The fridges that store food are filthy. The drinks are stored outside where they collect dust and dirt on the tops of the cans. The menu serves "vegan options" but these options are not always vegan. Some of the menu that says its vegan is actually vegetarian cause it has shrimp paste in it. The work environment is toxic and dangerous. People are screaming and kicking over trashcans for no reason and acting threatening. Also, all the tips given through debit or credit are not given to the employees. Theyre kept for the owners and the only tips employees get are whatever cash tips are given in the day. I have unpaid wages that im waiting for. read more

I really don't like to have to bash locals trying to make a living here on Maui, but I'm sorry, the Pad Thai tasted like, of all things BLEACH! Yuck. Yuuuuum! In a sea of nondescript Makawao eateries, this place stands out. Discovered this place by accident on a bike ride. I got the Pad See Ew ($12, tofu) and spring rolls ($12, tofu). It all tasted really good and came out hot from the wok. The spring rolls were especially crispy and came with some sweet sour sauce for dipping. I live in Kula and prefer the drive up from Paia through Makawao. This place is right on the way by Rodeo General store. The curry here is undeniably amazing. I have tried all three... although the yellow curry was not photo'd. I highly recommend them if you're in the area.
