My husband was craving pad Thai. We found this food truck while we were in the area. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The Pad Thai was okay not the best. Appreciated they had the word vegan on the menu. The tofu cashew dish was tasty. Price point was medium. Recommend if you're in the area and want some Thai.

Best panang curry of my LIFEEEEEEE. If you want Thai this is 100% the place to go. Also adored: Cashew chicken, pad thai, lemongrass chicken. In reality, everything is fabulous :)

This place was awesome!! It was, by far, the best pad Thai I had on the island! My husband had the Penang curry and it was SO good as well. Their prices were also the most affordable we had on our trip to Maui! If that wasn't enough, the atmosphere of their location, with an outside garden experience only added to the charm of this place. The staff were friendly and had samples they were offering guests. Did I say the food was amazing?!! We had eaten at Star Noodle in Lahaina just the night before, paid more than double what we paid here and we left underwhelmed and disappointed. I am so glad we took the suggestion from one of the you tubers to try Thai Mee Up... it was one of our favorite eats during our entire week in Maui!!

Super tasty Thai food truck. Fast service and spot on full of flavor. Really yummy garlic shrimp, also had the ribs as well as the chicken fried rice. All packed with flavor

One of the staples of enjoying fresh local fish at reasonable prices. Thai Mee up always offer great Thai cuisine with such authentic savory flavors to delight your palette and scent. They now offer a frequent buyer plan to earn points towards future purchases. Also notice a few of their noodles have meat optional for another $2. However, they also need to make a decent living while prices everywhere goes up. We had the fresh garlic mahi with rice and the green papaya sweet spicy salad. It was scrumptious and the aroma was ultra pleasant!

Good food truck food for a good price. The Green Curry was very mild, but tasty. Make sure to bring some time during peak lunch or dinner hours. It can be tough to secure one of the few shady spots to eat. Friendly and kind staff.

Excellent customer service by their sweet attendant. We ordered the Penang Curry with tofu and came with a side of Jazmin rice. The curry was delicious with lots of ginger and a red peppers. The food truck was conveniently located inside a food truck park, plenty of parking nearby. There are a lot of chickens walking around in the area so watch out!

The parang curry was so so good. Really good mix of spices and just enough chile to wake up your taste buds but not to "hot".

    Lemongrass Chicken.

Lemongrass Chicken. Good but portion size is ridiculous, enough for a kid. Only couple good meaty pieces and the rest are batter scraps.

Pad Thai with big chin is of egg, hardly any chicken or noodles. Total Rip off!

The older lady taking orders has lost our order three times... the last time she lost our order we waited 45-50 minutes of waiting... everyone who ordered after us got their orders and no one was left. When she called us the food was cold... and proportions were terrible. Globs of egg in the PadThai and hardly any noodles. Not an I'm sorry to keep you waiting... nothing.... We tipped them $10.00 to boot.

We eat here a lot and have noticed declining quality. Last night was not cool, though. I ordered Pad thai with chicken, which I've had many times from here. It was about 98% noodles, about 5 small bits of chicken, literally 1 shred of carrot, about 5 bean sprouts, some cilantro bits, a little egg, and that's about it. I was quite disappointed as other times there is a lot more to pad thai than just noodles. It used to be quite good, so I'm not sure what is happening there, but at this time it feels like it's not worth the money for what they are serving.

To spend an evening in Makawao these days, you have to head out of Kihei long before rush hour or you'll be stuck in Piilani highway traffic for ever, due to extra cars detouring from the washed out South Kihei Road. So, the plan was to leave the roost in mid-afternoon and check out the food truck park next to Longs in upcountry. If you haven't been there, it's not the easiest place to locate, but the Waze app will get you to Longs Drug and you can't miss it. The food truck park was larger than we expected. Lots of good choices, but Thai Mee Up was an easy choice. The girl taking our order was very pleasant and helpful, answering our questions about menu items. I got the Lemongrass Fried Chicken and it was ready in a few minutes because there wasn't much of a crowd. There are a few picnic tables inside the ring of food trucks and again, we were fortunate that there wasn't a crowd and we could sit. The entre came with a small cup of Green Papaya Salad that was very tasty with a little crunch and a sweet & sour dressing. The Lemongrass Chicken was good, with small pieces of chicken battered and fried, on a bed of rice. It came with a tiny cup of a great, sweet & tangy sauce that really wasn't enough for dipping all of the chicken pieces, let alone flavoring the rice. Didn't really get enough lemongrass flavor, either. Nice to have a square of banana leaf under the rice that prevented the rice from sticking to the compostable food box. I would like to order this dish again, but only if they give me more of the sauce.

Protip: They are open the latest out of all the other food trucks in the area. Highlights: For the flavor, price, and wait time, I would honestly recommend this food truck over the My Thai restaurant. I enjoyed the pad thai and cashew vegetable dish the most. Lowlights: There was only three shrimp in our shrimp pad thai which is definitely not worth the money. The lemongrass chicken had so much extra breading and very little chicken.

The truck itself is fun, painted with bright tropical colors and scenes, and they seem to be known for their loaded tots and bao buns. I placed my order on the touchscreen outside and then sat down to wait for my food. For lunch on this day I went with the buffalo chicken tots and the Island Piggy bao. The menu described the bao as kalua pork, BBQ sauce, tropical salsa, and pickled red onions. The buffalo chicken tots were described as buttermilk fried chicken, buffalo sauce, jack cheddar cheese, house made pickles, and ranch dressing. It took less than 10 minutes for my food to be ready and I sat down at one of the shaded picnic tables. When I opened everything up it all looked good, but I did notice that the tots were missing the house made pickles. I started with the bao and thought it was pretty good. The kalua pork was super juicy and the bao bun was light and fluffy while still holding together well. The pickled onions added a nice acidity and the tropical salsa brought good flavor. The only thing I did not notice much was the BBQ sauce. After that I dug into the tots. The tots themselves were cooked nicely with a crispy outside and soft inside. The chicken was good as well with a nice batter and the buffalo sauce added flavor while the cheese was gooey. The only thing worth noting is that the chicken was softer than expected and not very crispy. It worked since I did have the texture from the crispy tots, but it stood out. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I would probably not order both a bao and tots again as it was a lot of food, but I would definitely come back for one or the other.

The spam brussel sprouts were amazing and such a fun, unexpected combo. Our absolute favorites were the ahi bao and the pork tots, both were standout, crave worthy dishes. We visited last May, so some of the items were seasonal, which just makes it even more exciting to go back and see what's new. Great service, great vibes, and really creative food. If you see this truck, do not skip it.

Not like a garden you walk through with different plants and flowers. They have lots of things, though. There was a yoga session happening in the middle lawn area. They have a butterfly area, even though the butterflies were somewhere else. There is an aging tortoise, I forget his name. There are also different businesses in the buildings, like a spa and a salon. There are different small vendors with their booths and several food trucks; although, some were not open in the morning and the Thai food truck had all their items sold out on their menu already. The prices were even more pricier than the food trucks at Maui Food Trucks. One vendor had hand crafted desserts for $20/piece! I admired from afar, haha. Everything is advertised as "farm to table" maybe justifying their prices. We shared an acai bowl and it was mid. The the peanut butter was just scraped on the side of the bowl. Our typical acai bowls at least put the peanut/almond butter in the middle like any other topping so you can get an even bite with everything. But the dallop of peanut butter just on the side, it was like we ordered peanut butter on the side of our acai bowl. It was weird. I bet it's more alive at night with more food trucks open and live music. We came and saw and didn't come back. I can see how it can be great for families with toddlers running around, giving them a safe space to burn their energy. Until then, this probably won't be the top of our list.
