Portions are pretty big, and the lobster fried rice comes with a ton of succulent lobster chunks. So far, everything on the menu is pretty great, but I keep getting the same Lobster fried rice...it's too good. Cute shaded dining area. Very friendly staff. My favorite. Gluten free and will accommodate. The Li after fried rice comes with a large claw of meat. Love the guys and woman that guards the truck. They are consistently great! They offer a different level of Thai Spice. They are outside the "gardens." read more

Food: 4 stars Service: 5 stars Ambiance: 3.5 stars Value: 4 stars This is a Thai food cart close to (but not in) the South Maui Gardens food cart pod. I tried the basil fried rice with chicken - which was very good. Wish that they would offer a non-seafood tom kha soup, since it's our favorite and my husband can't eat seafood. We will come back to try more of the menu! The value is good for the portion size. Downside is that they don't have any specific seating, but there is seating next to the cart. They also have been sold out of a few items when we've tried stopping by before, so we ended up going elsewhere. read more

We got a pair of the Lobster Roll sandwiches. Somehow, the lobster was prepared totally different between the 2. Like they didn't want to waste time make one of them and just threw the leg meat whole in the bun. The bun. Those were hotdog buns. Great Value status. Trash. The fries were okay. If I could give zero stars, I would Horrible customer service, the food does not look anything close to the pictures that their advertising The portions are way smaller than what they describe And the price is way out of line Came here on my honeymoon. Had a great experience with everything else, but this was the one place that I will single-handedly forever remember as one of the worst experiences I've ever had in Maui. My wife was completely on the same page as me. I'm pretty charitable when it comes to food, but this was ridiculous Had the lobster roll My wife ordered something else and it was mediocre as well read more

Terrific food but the food truck is stuck in a parking lot without much ambience. A few steps away is a more happening food truck court with live music. Thai basil was excellent sound. The portion was more generous than most places we visited this week. read more

This place seriously earned my 5 stars!! I ordered delivery from door dash. There aren't a lot of vegetarian and vegan options in Wailea at night using the usual food delivery apps. I usually call Thai places ahead to make sure which dishes can be prepared vegetarian or vegan (without the oyster sauce and/or fish sauce and I usually ask for steamed tofu instead of fried tofu to make sure it's not fried in the same oil as meat). The restaurant confirmed that they could make the red curry and drunken noodles with these specifications. The food was INCREDIBLE one of the most flavorful and excellent Thai meals I've had (and Thai cuisine is one of my favorite foods!) There were lots of veggies thinly slices in the noodles, perfect spice level, and delicious flavors. The red curry was creamy and had yummy veggies included. I ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries and liked it so much, I came back again and ordered the very same thing. It was even better the second time. Both times were amazing. I am difficult to please when it comes to my lobster rolls and their lobster roll is up there with the best that I have ever had. Very good and tasty. And the sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy, not greasy or soggy. I love the dipping sauce, also. Owners/operators were all super kind and friendly. I highly recommend giving the lobster roll a try. This place surpassed my expectations. The Thai food here was probably one of the best I've had in my entire life. I tried the pad Thai and pad see ew and both were amazing, packed with a bunch of flavors. The noodles were super fresh and had a nice chew. Portions are definitely sharable, we were able to eat half the next day. So good that me and my boyfriend had to come back before we left maui. Service is super nice as well. I ordered the chicken pad thai. It was great! Very tasty. Total was $16. She asked if I wanted it spicy, and what number from 1-5. I told her 3.6/4. The owner was friendly and nice & even walked my food to my table. Definitely could have added more spice, but she thoughtfully added a little pile of chili pepper to the side of my dish, so I was able to mix in more to kick up the heat. read more

Uncertain of what to eat, we walked up to Sawasdee food truck and "game to just try it." Hubby had the Panang Curry with braised short rib and extra spicy. Wife had the Hea Mao with chicken. DA BEST! Flavorful and savory with generous portions of chicken and rib. Hubby enjoyed the extra spices with a large amount of rice. The Hea Mao was some of the most flavorful noodle dish consumed in a long while. Absolutely recommend this truck for anyone in need of a true Thai fix. Phenomenal hole in the wall for authentic thai. You can find the best Pad Thai and papaya salad here! I ordered papaya salad with Gai Tod (fried chicken), fried rice and drunken noodle for togo. I always judge a thai restaurant based on a pad thai. If you cant even make that, then you fail. Unfortunately thats what happened with my experience here. I was hoping it was going to taste fantastic but it was super dry. I understand them catering to a certain clientele but man I was super disappointed in the taste. Lacked sweetness and tanginess from the pad thai sauce which usually has tamrind, fish sauce, etc. Definitely wouldnt recommend this spot or at least avoid the pad thai. Couldnt unbookmark a place any faster. read more

We moved to a town with minimal Thai food so I had Pad See Ew three times in Maui. This was the best. Others were soupy, this had that thick sauce that almost caramelizes when they fry the noodles, and they were very fried. Some parts were almost charred, those were the best bites. Completely removed and replaced with about a dozen or more tables for four. Really , if you want a treat at sunset , come here. Great service.

Honestly, I wanted this place to be great but it was decidedly sub par. I adore their Plantation…read morelocation, this one not so much. Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.
