excellent flavor fresh sushi roll for $9 from this little food truck at kulamalu center in pukalani. Roll took less than 10 minutes to come out. The seating is limited the place would be awesome with more of a gazebo for shade. Would recommend for fresh sushi.

I appreciated they had veggie options! My husband enjoyed his California roll and something else. My rolls did fall apart a bit when I tried picking them up but all was well. It was option to choose in the limited food truck area. Price was a bit up there but it's sushi in Hawaii. Employees were friendly and welcoming.

I visited this food truck yesterday and it was around 215pm in the afternoon. There was another person looking at the menu and she asked if I was ready to order. I said no. She went ahead of me. Week it was my turn to order. Everything looked delicious and I was ready to eat some sushi. Well with a total of 63 bucks plus a cash tip. Everything was just all right. The one thing that eerked me the most is the girl working the window gave the woman ahead of me a package with her order. But when it was my turn to get my food she handed me the 3 plates. I looked at her confused as how I'm I supposed to carry this so I asked her for a brown bag. She said a brown bag I said yes a package so I can put the food inside. She then handed me a very small bag. I looked at her like how I'm I suppose to put these 3 plates in this bag. I ended up just leaving in disappointment. So when we got home to eat I didn't care for my meal at all. The poke bowl was spicy we didn't think it would be spicy. But it was okay. The chicken teriyaki plate came with rice and teriyaki chicken and a nice serving of green salad! Also we order the crunchy sushi roll that was pretty good. All in all is not sure if I'll return to this food truck again. Have to think about this. The brown bag issue! May not be a big deal to others but it is to me.

This food truck sits in a pod of food trucks by Long's. I ordered the hamachi poke bowl. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size and quality was good. There is bench seating outdoor.

This is a new sushi food truck in the pukalani longs parking lot. We tried a few things and everything was yum!! Would definitely eat here again. I posted the hours because a couple times I've tried to go, they were already closed or not open. Lots of parking. Super fast and fresh.

This restaurant is located in a shopping center in Pukalani. The inside has a place to order along with a cooler and a display case full of baked goods. There is seating throughout the rest of the space with five four tops and bar seating for about seven more. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the loco moco while my dad went with the Big Kahuna. The menu described mine as three hamburger patties smothered with house made brown gravy and topped with two eggs, and my dad's as a combo plate of mochiko chicken, hamburger steak, and Asian crusted ono. After placing our order they quoted us 15 to 20 minutes, so we sat at an empty table and waited. It only took about 10 minutes before our food was ready and we sat down to eat. As soon as my dad opened his meal I have to admit that I was jealous as it looked great. Thankfully my meal was absolutely amazing. The brown gravy was legit with a ton of flavor and I could not stop eating it. The burger patties were hot and seasoned well. The mac salad was also really good. My only complaint would be that the rice was a little sticky and made it hard to get everything out of the container. I was also able to try some of my dad's mochiko chicken and the breading had great flavor while the chicken inside was moist and juicy. My dad enjoyed everything on his plate as well, especially the ono. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. As a matter of fact, the next time my wife is on Maui with me this will be one of our first stops because that gravy was fantastic.

But everyone was there. They were behind a wall lol. Inside was clean and AC was cold. The staff was very nice and took our orders promptly. We ordered the crispy pork belly special and a breaded ono sandwich. My husband didn't care for the fish sandwich. He said the fish was bland and he didn't like the lettuce. After dissecting the sandwich, he ended up adding a little shoyu and thought it tasted better. The CPB was great. It comes with Mac salad, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes and a vinegar dipping sauce. I loved it. The only thing I'd change would be the size of the pieces of pork. Would be better if it was smaller (so it can fit in the sauce container). The portion was good for $19

We hit up Paia right before our flight back to LAX. It's not very far from the airport and I was bummed we hadn't been told to explore this area in addition to lounging out in Lahaina. There was a line formed even before the restaurant opened but things flowed pretty quickly. While waiting to order I'd pretty much convinced myself that I was going to be disappointed because the menu felt a bit basic. But boy was I wrong. The fish burgers are just absolutely exceptional. I got the snapper and my wife got the ahi. Both pieces of fish were cooked to perfection and were well sized. The bun was top notch and the coleslaw - a dish of which I am generally not a fan - was simply exceptional. At first I thought was a bit weird that they included cheese on the sandwich but that actually worked too! Go here for a no frills, reasonably priced, delicious AF meal if your travels take you into the area. Can't wait to go back on our next trip to Maui!

The cafe can be found beyond their distillery in the large grassy lawn area. This space open, pretty expansive, and features bicoastal ocean views which makes it perfect for watching the sunset if you time your visit right. There are a number of chairs spread out over the lawn and some covered and uncovered picnic tables. We came here during the late afternoon and were able to find seats right away. They offer a food and cocktail menu that incorporates locally sourced ingredients, including organic vegetables and herbs from their garden. They have salads, poke, farmbreads (pizza), sandwiches, desserts, and more! Their signature cocktails are made with with their very own Ocean Vodka, Kula Rum, Fy Gin, and Brum spirits. They have waiters walking around to take your order, but can get busy if there's a lot of guests. You can also head into the little building overlooking the lawn and put in your order at the register, which is what we opted to do. There was a long line and it took quite a bit to order so I think the workflow could be more efficient, but the staff were friendly. We sipped on our cocktails while we waited for our farmbread and enjoyed the views while listening to the live music which is available daily starting at 4:30 pm. We ordered the Tree Pua'a and Uncle's Favorite farmbreads and both were delicious! My favorite was the Tree Pua'a and the dough to topping ratio was just right. They make their doughs in-house daily and you can upgrade to a cauliflower crust as a gluten free option. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit here and look forward to coming again the future. It's a short drive from town and makes for a great place to bring out of town guests and I love that it's not surrounded by homes or buildings and feels quite secluded and serene.

Nuka was exceptional. Authentically Japanese, the restaurant is beautifully yet serenely decorated, the staff are welcoming and well versed in the menu and flavors, and pricing is competitive for island restaurants. In fact when you know the healthy ingredients are the best available, locally grown/caught/raised and cooked to perfection it takes it up a notch. We arrived just as they opened for lunch at 11.30am and luckily managed to be seated straight away. I've read that dinner is much harder to get a table and there is a long wait so arrive accordingly ;) Parking is available in the car park next door beside the gym, free and self parking. So, what did we order?......... Grapefruit lychee spritzer - we chose the mocktail version but you can make it a cocktail too. Sooo citrusy and thirst quenching. Not sweet, zingy. Very refreshing on a hot Maui day Miso - earthy, salty, brothy, umami, steaming hot in a bowl to start off your extravaganza of a meal Shio koji cabbage - finely shredded with sesame and house milled bran and seasoning, like an elegant Japanese coleslaw, I loved it! Nasu Miso eggplant - slightly sweet because of the miso, I liked the taste but it wasn't a texture I'm used to eating, which I found a lot in Japan, eg mochi. But I can't fault the dish because of that, the miso umami was richly broiled and it was a popular dish House Nuka pickles - crunchy, fresh and sprinkled with sesame (daikon radish, carrot and cucumber), a good palate cleanser and a nice texture to complement the eggplant above. Not vinegary, just fresh Saba Nigiri - two pieces of moreish mackerel sushi, melt in the mouth with so much flavor, decent sized nigiri too Shiso Country sushi roll - on the specials list, and it was amazingly special! Ahi, habanero masago, orange masago, shaved shiso leaf, ponzu, so many flavours and textures combined into a party in the mouth, with a slight heat build as you ate it. A favourite Miso Butterfish - OMG it looked so amazing and was another popular dish, for a good reason, it is delicious. Melt in the mouth, flaky, savory cod, a nice sized serving, and the miso sauce is sooo good with the buttery fish Lilikoi ice cream - hubby only had room for one generous creamy scoop served with chocolate wafers and decorated with fresh mint. Perfect end to a delightful meal We both felt that this is definitely one of the best restaurants on island, culturally and gastronomically, pricewise and food presentation, authenticity and awareness of local produce....it all adds up to an outstanding dining experience. As most reviews state, Nuka had a LONG wait time and a line when we arrived even though we came fairly late that I thought most people wouldn't be out eating at that time anymore. However, once we got seated, our order was taken very quickly and the food also came out very fast! We took our server's recommendations on what to order and tried one of the specials they were offering that night, the sushi platter, and a specialty roll. I felt quantity could've been better for the price, but then again, I don't know what to expect for sushi prices in Hawaii. The quality was good though and fish tasted fresh. We enjoyed all our dishes, and I wish we would've ordered more because I didn't feel we had enough food once everything came out. I definitely can see Nuka being a local favorite though and am glad we tried it!
