Classic Hawaii haul!! Maui onion chips are a necessity and the perfect vessel for the poke! Poke was great and we tried a variety of flavors. Seaweed salad was great and the spam musubis were great however they were mostly rice. Great option for a picnic at the beach

stop here for pretty much EVERYTHING you need, especially if you don't want to go to costco to buy in bulk! the fruit, fish, and beef are extremely fresh.. bento boxes are perfect lunches if you're exploring during the day. the staff here is super duper friendly, quick service with cutting meat & finding products. i would say that you'll find foodland to be your favorite grocery store in no time!!

Always a pleasure to shop here, with the friendly staff. Wide selection of items and lots of local products and veggies. Fresh flowers and plants. Really great poke counter. Coffee shop inside the store. Bakery. Liquor. Seniors get a discount on Thursdays. Easy parking.

We loved this stop. We were hungry after a hike and I had heard of Foodland before. Of course, the poke station was filled with people waiting! No wonder. They have a good selection. Got the California roll poke and a spicy kind. It tasted very fresh and the rice was good. Staff were so nice! Loved it. They have a lot of items too. Very clean.

This place has a solid poke bar and usually even has hamachi poke when other spots don't.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner.. poke all day. They have kimchi and wakame as well.

So many diff flavors of poke and you can sample it too. My go to is the spicy ahi poke. Just grab kimchi, wakame, and make some rice and its good for any meal of the day. They also have a starbucks at this location.

This is the first stop when I visited Maui and this was some delicious poke! Didn't know what to order and asked for recommendation and the worker was so sweet and recommended onion crisp & spicy ahi hawaiian and it was such a nice combination! This foodland poke tasted fresh and the fish meat was very soft. It was easy to chew through and the flavor was on point! Definitely recommend!

I've been to this Upcountry Foodland numerous times over the years when I lived on Maui and whenever I go back 2-3 times a year to visit my 'ohana. I laugh when people say Kahului or town is "too far". Huh? It's a mere 12 to 15 minute drive. That's nothing especially if you've lived on the Mainland for more than a decade and a half. What? Oh no! Time to think about moving back home. The workers for the most part are not friendly. At all. They barely crack a smile. My husband always goes and buys a pound or two of poke nearly every day when we're there. That's his thing since the "poke bars" here are not "authentic" poke. It's more like a salad bowl with a side of poke. This past visit, we went there one time and we were done. They moved the poke station closer to the produce section, Starbucks, etc. However, I swear the ahi was spoiled. It was so gross. The tita (yep, I said it) was hella rude and she probably gave me a few days old poke. Seriously. I wasn't paying attention since their poke has always been okay in the past. It was disgusting and we threw it out. We were rushing to drive to Lahaina so we opened it in the car to eat it. We tossed it at Costco when my hubz gassed up since there was no way we were going to hold on to the poke and have it sit in the car for hours to show them how gross it was. My husband got scolded (embarrassed and lectured according to hubz) by a large male cashier in August when he bought a few items. Many times, I have told my husband to either enter my phone number or my mom's phone number (priority) so they can get their Maika'i points and he can get the slight discount. That employee told him he's not allowed to enter my or my mom's phone number so instead of his total being $20, it was nearly $30. He was buying a couple of cleaning items for my mom too. Oh heck no. I immediately called the store and grabbed the car keys and my mom and I went straight to CS. I was there within 2 minutes and on the phone as I approached the CS desk. The manager was apologetic (my uncle worked there as store manager for many years back in the day; but, I didn't even bring that up and probably never will in the store). Actually, my mom stood on the side as I marched my 'okole straight to their CS/manager area. Lol. Yes, Foodland is very convenient for Upcountry peeps. However, so is Longs and Puk Sup. Or, you can be like me and just take a nice drive down the hill to Kahului.

In this most recent trip to Maui, we had three meals at Foodland - perfect for poke to take to the beach.

In the back, you will find a food court with endless options, whether you grab what is already laid out or order fresh off the menu. I had the California roll twice, and the rice was so soft with a perfect rice-to-filling ratio, easily the best California roll I have ever had. I also tried the BBQ flatbread, which was pretty good. Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You can also grab groceries and snacks while you are there.

From the exterior, it looks as it should: a shack like design, something that one would imagine being from a western movie, but in this case, set in a tropical setting. All around, there is a great selection of high quality Maui foods, from spice mixes, to sweets, to teas.
