Vietnamese food can be found all over Maui, but if you want GOOD Vietnamese food, come to Aloha Pho Maui! They're located in central Maui at Da Tambayan Corner, down the street from the new Maui Bus Hub. Our party ordered the Bun bo Hue - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (not pictured cause it was soooo good I dug in right away). The vermicelli noodles are thick and have hit the spot when you want a good noodles soup. It comes with a side of fresh herbs, lemon, bean sprouts, lemongrass chili, and shrimp paste I liked that it's all on the side so you can customize to your tastes. I also got a crispy pork banh mi (also not pictured) but the pork belly is nice and crispy with a delightful sauce so it's not dry. The bread has a nice thin crust and the inside is fluffy. The perfect amount of meat to vegetable ratio - lots of cilantro, cucumber, and pickled vegetables to pair with the crispy pork. The broken rice pork chop is nicely seasoned and the nuoc mam added the perfect amount of umami. I like eating the pork chop with the side of fresh vegetables. The chicken wings were crisp and freshly fried. Piece of advice, let it cool first cause it's HOT lol. The chicken comes with a side of sweet & sour sauce but I dipped it in the nuoc mam for even more flavor. For an order of 4 items, I spent $62 without tax. I left with my tummy delightfully filled with delicious Vietnamese food without having a big hole in my wallet. I would recommend to all my friends wanting good vietnamese food! There is a small parking lot located at the back of the corner. They have a clean one toilet. Paper towels & cleansing spray is provided by the vendors. Lots of tables with canopy shades over top. Edited to add hours: Open everyday except Tuesdays from 11a-8p.

I'm grew up with a lot of Vietnamese friends back home and I love their food. Maui has always lacked high-quality Vietnamese food...that is until Aloha Pho Maui! The grilled pork banh mi was the first item I ever tried and I devoured it. The pork marinade was traditional--savory and slightly sweet. The pickled radish and carrots were fresh and flavorful and the bread was soft and fresh with a delicate crusty edge. The entire sandwich was phenomenal. The second time, I tried the fried spring rolls. They were perfectly and evenly rolled and filled with a delicious pork/glass noodle filling. The shell was light and flaky, not oily at all! You can tell that the owners put a lot of love and pride into making their food. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant on the island and I cannot wait to try the rest of the items.

Decided to check out this place on opening day. Ordered the pho combination, summer roll, and bahn mi special sandwich. The summer roll was perfect, my favorite item I tried. The sandwich was pretty good although I've had better in Honolulu. Pho noodle is decent. Broth flavor was a little weak but I was surprised how much beef they gave. Was a lot of beef! Also get lots of sprouts and Thai basil and a real lime wedge instead of lemon, which you find a lot around Hawaii. I was one of the first customers, so had to be patient. Waited about 45 minutes for the food. Nice addition to the area with the lack of Vietnamese options. Definitely worth a try!

Growing up Vietnamese on Maui, it's been a hit or miss when it comes to really good Vietnamese food. Especially because it's hard to source certain herbs and technical skills. HOWEVER, this spot is legit. The owner has been on Maui for a long time now, and he's worked in restaurants before. I definitely trust his cooking, heck my mom trust him too (that says a lot!). Things to try: Banh Mi. Juicy, tender meat, that's not all fatty. Fresh herbs, veggies, and the bread is CRISPY and soft. It doesn't tear up the inside of your mouth. Of course, best when fresh. If you are getting it for later, ask for veggies on the side. Bun Bo - Pho's cousin. Everyone raves about pho, but you need to try this dish. Full of flavor, and he's not skimpy on the meats (obviously). Crispy Roast Pork (Thịt heo quay). Back in the days Wei Wei used to sell this the best. But over the years their quality changed, my mom would resort to getting their fix on Oahu. But his roast pork, is goooooood. It's so crispy, and tastes amazing. TRY his crispy roast pork banh mi. SO ONO. Plenty of places to sit.

It would be totally awesome if he had fresh squeezed, but understood the machine probably can't fit on the truck.

As the internet says, if there is a kid working the window at an Asian restaurant, the food is going to be good. There was no kid at the window to take my order. But get this, while eating I saw a kid walk off the truck, use the restroom and get back in. She's probably the chef, lololol. Jokes aside, the food was absolutely delicious and worht the wait. I got a sandwich with crispy ass pork and the loads of fresh and pickled veggies. My mom got broken rice with grilled pork ribs, vietnamese meatloaf and fried egg. Everything was so yummy, I would've had two sandwiches but my lock jaw and toothache prevented me from eating anything more. Food did take a while but well worth it. It took about 30 min from order to getting our meal, we got 4 menu items and the family ahead got 12, so it was a reasonable wait time considering it was delivered hot. They give you a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. You have the option to eat here or they pack it up in bags for you to go. General info: There was ample shaded seats when we arrived after 1pm. Love that they provided a little cleaning station for the tables. There are about 7 trucks in total, but only 4 were open in the afternoon. Very limited parking spaces inside, about 10 but there is street parking. (A larger car is probably gonna hang out into the road so we didn't want to park outside.) There is also a clean restroom. It requires a code to get in, I like these because it keeps the crackheads out and restroom clean. They have this board game to play while you wait. (Not actually sure what it is actually, this lady was trying to teach her kid and I was watching but he didn't wanna play! Loser.) Lastly, cute little photo op area if you're into that. Besides Aloha Pho, there is was a Thai, Flipino/Local, taiwan/boba, Mexican, and crepe truck. Great variety of foods. Last thing I wanna share, I went to Vietnam for a month about 4 months prior to eating here. Vietnam food was really hit or miss, so I'm accustomed to really good and what is really bad. Aloha Pho Maui is high up there on the list of really good, great for us because Maui doesn't have a lot of great Vietnamese options. Will be back for sure.

    #17 Fried Noodles

Don't pay attention to that 1 star review. Don't even think about it until you've EATEN this food I've been all over Vietnam. I know the difference between good and bad Vietnamese food. Aloha Pho is ONLY one of two of the brand new Vietnamese restaurants (Other is Huong Nam) that opened recently to have Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodles). Theirs is AUTHENTIC and I LOVE adding the saté and the fermented fish paste (think of Filipino bagoong). The flavor is phenomenal and it's probably the only thing I have ever ordered the past 12 visits here in the last 2 months. Today I ordered a fried noodle #17 but I did not forget to grab a Bun Bo Hue as well Service with a smile from the owner as well ‍ Did not wait too long for piping hot food; delicious as always chef! Ambiance is getting better in the Tambayan food court! It's more on the property owners than the vendors themselves. There's much more parking now and finally MORE shaded areas than they used to have. I remember having to eat the hot soup in the hot sun but it's WORTH IT. Aloha

I come here with my family about 2x a week. I seriously want to try other things on the menu but can't stop ordering the sandwiches or the grilled pork and spring rolls with vermicelli noodles. Consistently amazing

The menu has all the familiar Thai favorites, but also dishes that are hard to come by in the States. We tried quite a few things, and everything was excellent. Our favorites were the Spicy Basil (pad krapow) and Mom's Sausage (sai oua). The pad krapow comes with ground meat, as it should, and has that savory, spicy, fragrant flavor I look for. Mom's Sausage is incredibly flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The Pad Mama is another standout. It's a simple Thai comfort dish made with instant noodles, but they do it perfectly. And don't skip the mango sticky rice! The sticky rice was warm, soft, and pillowy, and the mango was perfectly ripe. Everyone here is super friendly too. The interior is cute, creative, and full of little details that show how much thought went into the place. They even play Thai country music in the background. One tip for first-timers: when you arrive, grab a menu from the check-in spot outside the restaurant, to the left of the dining area. Then head into the dining area and they'll seat you. You order through the QR code at your table and pay + tip when you place your order. Food is served in paper takeout containers. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Maui!

I wish their menu was more accurate or if that's the case, note that the fish could be substituted because what we ordered versus what we got, are definitely 2 different things. I know what tilapia costs versus pompano and if you're going to charge me $30 for fish, I would expect to get what I ordered. I messaged them through their social media since their phone doesn't work so hopefully they respond and do the right thing. We've been loyal customers and this isn't cool. Dinner takeouts are not cheap on island so when we splurge for the $30 fish, we hope to get just that.

The roast duck was really good actually. The general tsao's chicken and chicken lettuce was good, I've definitely been to other spots that were better but I don't have anything bad to say about it. What I really disliked about this place was the Seafood Bird's Nest. Initially, they thought I ordered a Seafood Delight, but my order was missing the noodles. But they basically just fried up some noodles real quick and threw it under. And that part wouldn't have been a problem for me, but it was honestly waaaay too salty (and I like really salty! so that says a lot to me) It was difficult to eat to be honest, but I of course didn't want to waste it. The seafood included 3 pieces of shrimp, about a stick of imitation crab meat, a couple small pieces of scallop, and A LOT of calamari pieces that were soooo tough to chew, we couldn't even really eat them! For the chicken lettuce, they gave us about 3 full pieces of lettuce that was cut up and then charged us $4.00 for more pieces of lettuce which is pretty pricey lol. The siu mai was mid.. but you get what you pay for. There was also a 3% additional kitchen surcharge which was weird...? Still not sure what that was for lol. And then on top of that there's another 3% charge if you use credit card, so just be aware of that. The service was fine, because there was basically no one else in the restaurant anyway. Also - my boyfriend told me they had no soap in the restroom at all which was inconvenient. Overall, the price of their food does not make sense for the level of quality. I wouldn't recommend to my peers to come here, except maybe just grab their roast duck to go.

The chicken was heavily breaded but the sauce was nice. The fried rice was a dark brown mixture that didn't look like any rice I've had before. My companion ordered the curry chicken with vegetables with her side of chow mein. The curry was ok and so was the chicken but the Bell pepper needed to be cooked a little longer. The chow mein noodles were more like spaghetti noodles with seasoning. The restaurant doors were wide open and the fans were spinning and the air conditioning was turned off. I wanted to give this place a good review as I selected the place based on existing Yelp reviews but sorry can't do it.
