The pork belly with tomatoes and onions is the bomb specially dipping the the vinegar sauce they give . There pompano either grilled or fried is my favorite though I just love a whole fish. But dont miss on there specials I had the ribs to and they were fall off the bone good. But depending on what your ordering call ahead of time is recommended
Came here for some skewers and a sausage plate. The sausage plate was rice and sausages, so saying it's a plate was a little generous. That being said, the sausages were a bit flavorless. Wouldn't recommend. Also got some skewers. They are all sauced and flavored the same. Got the pork, pork intestine, pig ears. The pig ears were my favorite and it had some crunch in the ear but still had that gelatinous feeling from the skin. The intestine was good too. Weirdly enough this had too much sauce imo. Place has potential but I don't think I'll be back
Found these guys on yelp in anticipation of a tasty treat $6 for 4 pieces I bought 2 orders. Looked good but ate 2 lumpia and threw the rest away. Either they use green banana and try to add sweetness with the sauce but the banana itself was bland with no taste. Disappointed and lost $12 most diff won't go back.
So glad this place re-opened after the fire. The food is just as good as I remembered it. Crispy pork belly with tomatoes and onions, rice and soy sauce. Perfection.
Kusina Ni Jayboy is the place that I would go when they used to be in Lahaina and just happy that they're in Kahului. This place is located by Bank of Hawaii in Kahului area. This place makes it more special because Westside Boba I'd next to it. The bbq just cooked so good and it makes it more yummy with the sauce. I like their Chicharon with tomatoes and onions that one is the bomb! The cashier is nice and just know her menu.

Visiting the island of Maui from Glendale, AZ for my 50th birthday and wanted to make sure to get some fried pork belly! Read a couple reviews and saw that the pork belly sells out quickly, so I made a call to preorder before the drive from Kaanapali to Lahaina! Not knowing what to expect, I plugged in the address in the GPS to find a food truck park and the aromas were wafting and beckoning! I kept the box closed until I got back to the resort in Kaanapali and opened it to find delight! Every bite was orgasmic! The only picture I got of the food was when I first opened the box! I completely devoured everything and taking pictures was the last thing on my mind! Oh how I will dream of this place until I return! For those lucky enough to visit Maui before I do, please treat yourself to the fried pork belly (lechon kawali)!
Friendly service from this truck! Got the pork belly which for the majority was crispy and juicy. Sauce was sweet and the flavours all mixed well. Decent portion of meat, though it was a lot less in the beginning but it ended up as a good portion for the price
Stumbled upon this food truck and was intrigued by their menu. We ordered the crispy pork belly with white rice with tomatoes & onions, bbq pork skewers, and the bangus sinigang (sweet & sour soup with a whole milkfish and rice on the side). We loved every single bite of all three dishes! Absolutely flavorful and delicious. There was a bit of a wait for our food even though there was no one ahead of us, but we appreciated that the food was made fresh. This was one of our favorite meals here in Maui. Very friendly staff and very clean tables.
I've always wanted to eat where the locals eat in Maui, so I found this Filipino food truck nearby. Only an 8 minute walk away. It was soooo good! The Crispy Pork Belly with tomatoes, onions, and fried rice with vinegar soy sauce and banana sauce was superb! Pork Barbecue on skewers and rice were very tasty. Beef Tapa with fried rice, a bit salty for me but my husband loved it. The Vegetable Lumpias were awesome! So hot and crispy. As Gen. McArthur said, "I shall return". The fam said excellent choice for lunch!
This place is probably the most authentic Filipino food in the area. I ordered the crispy pork belly with fried rice and it was AMAZING. Blown away. The pork belly was cooked perfectly -- juicy, tender, and crispy. It was covered with fresh tomatoes and onion which matched well with the rice and meat. The portions were enough to split into two meals. Be sure to call to place your order in advance or else you'll be out waiting with the hot sun with the hungry chickens and roosters. Be sure to bring cash! They take venmo as well.
This was our second attempt to visit. They were closed on our first attempt, although during their "open" hours. But, this is Maui, so it's to be expected. It's a good location for the Kusina Ni Jayboy food truck. In a small parking lot with 4 other food trucks, so you ought to find something to make everyone happy. There are a couple of picnic tables to use and a little shade from the noontime sun. Likewise, the other vendors have tables. Not the best location for views, though. We had a late breakfast, so ordered an entre to share. The Crispy Pork Belly with Mushrooms, Onions and Gravy was a unanimous choice. With no other customers, it took quite a while to prepare, but okay, we had some time to kill. The Pork Belly looked terrific, with plenty of onions and shrooms covered in brown gravy. Two scoops or rice were included. We asked for and were given a small cup of shoyu for the rice. Glad to see that there was a waxed paper sheet between the food and the container to help keep it from soaking through. We left with the food to enjoy at a beach park with a better view. The pork belly, shrooms, onions and gravy were really delicious. It was disappointing that some of the pork had a rubbery outer layer that I would think is skin. Later, this pork belly dish went through my belly very quickly. I'm glad that I got a good scoop of rice, but it didn't slow down the process. I know, TMI. But, be warned that this food might be too rich for your system. I'm just glad that I didn't have a full serving. Next time, I'll stick with the garlic fried rice.

Finally found this truck again. Last year we came to the location after sunset and didn't come down from the car and inspected the entire area, so we missed the truck. This year, we came during the day right after landing. I called in my orders so I knew they are open. Upon arriving at the address, we didn't spot the truck immediately. Luckily my son and husband had the sense to checkout the area and they found it nestled in the back corner of a building, fully shaded. Anyways, the crispy pork is as good as we remembered. The skewers as well. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about their lumpia's. The banana lumpia's are now covered in caramel sauce vs naked. read more
It's real hard to find Filipino food where I live so we had to get some food here. I had the grilled pompano, which took a while because they grilled it to order, but MAN it was SO GOOD. Flakey and crispy with that addicting smokey grill flavor. Paired with the fresh tomato and onion, it was a cycle of delicious-ness. Bite of grilled fish, bite of fresh tomato/onion, rinse & repeat. Add in a bite of rice to reset. My aunt got the crispy pork belly loco moco. The gravy goes real well with the lechon kawali, but it IS a really heavy meal. She was only able to eat about 1/3 of the plate, so it's great if you want leftovers! The Simply Local shop next door is a nice place to kill time while you wait for your food. read more

I was drawn here by the stellar yelp reviews and hopes of a filling and tasty meal. I ordered the crispy pork belly with tomatoes and onions, but unfortunately, they had already sold out for the day when I ordered at 1:45 pm. I asked the cashier for her recommendation and she suggested the beef steak, which she said is their second most popular dish. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, even though there was only one person ahead of me when I arrived. The food tasted fresh and was hot when I got it. It was tasty, but when I ordered it, i didn't realize it would just be beef with a few onions. It was tasty, but next time, I would probably order something different to get more variety of flavor. read more
Delicious food!! My husband and I came here because we heard good things about this spot and we were really happy with everything we ordered. This spot is located in a little food truck plaza. When we went, it was the only place open so parking was easy to find. They also have a few tables where you can sit at and enjoy your meal. There are lots of roosters in this area as well! Whatta joy! My spouse and I was on a mission to find some delicious lechon and yes, it's here! Tucked away in a not-so-easy to find parking lot but we followed the directions from google and only needed to back track a bit. Crispy greatness on the outside...crunch factor with every bite! Here's my greatest hack.. I dipped my lechon in the Thai sweet chili sauce (got it with the lumpia) and man, delicious.! The lumpia was also good but I am still mesmerized by the lechon. Overall, the workers were really kind! They take cash and card, but with food trucks.. I try to pay with cash (very helpful for a small businesses). Seating is limited but you can always take your food to go and browse around the beach. Mahalo for a great meal!!! read more
This was honestly the best food I had on the island and was very surprising to say the least. Their loco moco (5/5) with a Filipino twist was absolutely delicious and I ate every grain of rice from it. A very flavorful gravy on top of freshly made fried rice and heavy amounts of pork created a great harmony to the dish. The fish they had tasted fresh and not fishy, and when paired with the sour soup, cut the grease from the loco moco. The skewers were great as well - nice grilled/charred flavor and a sweet sauce to balance it out. If I do come back to Maui, I'm definitely coming back for the loco moco. If you do come here, be prepared to wait as everything is made to order. My girlfriend and I waited for about 30 minutes, but it's definitely worth the wait as everything had wonderful flavor to it. I am in aweeee at how good the food is here. My boyfriend and I are picky eaters when it comes to Filipino food, but safe to say JayBoy has shut my mouth. We had two skewers (isaw + some other meat that I forget lol), their sinigang na pampano ( sweet and sour soup base with fresh steamed fish) and their loco moco tocino ( a Hawaiian twist to classic Filipino tocinolog, iykyk) This is the first food stand type restaurant where the food was better than anything I'd had at a sit down restaurant (in comparison to surrounding businesses). If I'm ever back, I'm making a bee line toward JayBoy's kitchen. read more

Three words. Crispy. Pork. Belly. Add the tomatoes and raw onions.. and top it off with a vinegar and garlic sauce on the side for dipping. I mean.. it's basically a filipino classic! And KNJ did it right. It's a food truck, so there will be a wait. Be patient my friend. It is worth it. I believe they cook to order,.. at least that's what they did for me. Overall wait time was about 10 minutes. They have a couple of tables with umbrellas for you to chill and wait by. When my order arrived, I was very happy to see the amount food they served me. Good enough to share but you definitely won't want to if you are hangry! I didn't order anything else.. and I'm totally ok with that. I feel this is their signature dish here and if it's your first time here, I definitely recommend it. Kusina Ni Jayboy is situated in a parking lot in downtown Lahaina, conveniently next to may inns and Front St. My partner and I stopped by numerous times during our trip to Maui. We found that stopping at food trucks and eating at the beach was far more affordable and delicious than many of the local restaurants. Kusina Ni Jayboy was one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat. The skewers-- both the BBQ pork ears and intestine-- were delicious and tender. We tried 2 local fish dishes, the pompano and bangus which were both outstanding! A whole fish with a generous serving of rice, tomato, and onion. The price point was fair as well ($20 per fish). Definitely consider eating at Kusina Ni Jayboy if you're in the Lahaina area! read more

My SO and I got the Loco Moco and the Crispy Pork Belly (w/ onions / tomatoes). The LM reminded me of salsbury steak (hamburger w/ onion gravy and egg over easy). I would prefer to get just the crispy pork belly and call it good. read more

Proper Filipino food like you're literally in Manila in a non descrip parking lot with half a dozen other food trucks. The cooking is legit like mom's cooking. Not the Westernized HRC stuff you see around here. Honestly it's not for everyone but if you're looking for real food come here. The crispy moco is da bomb.com, you will not leave hungry. read more

Food We shared a Crispy Pork Belly topped with onion and tomato, which came with a side of rice. This was one of the best and unique pork belly dishes I've had in my life. The exterior was crunch while the inside is a tasty, soft pork belly. It's best to eat it ASAP so you have peak crispiness. The raw onion and tomato add an extra freshness and is perfect for onion lovers. Value At $13, the dish was pretty appropriately priced for Maui. Although, if I only had $15 to spend on the island, I would come here for some crispy pork belly with rice. Service We called ahead for our order and it was ready by the time we got there (ordered around 6pm on a weekday, took ~10 minutes). The service was quick and easy. We paid using Venmo, which was convenient and contactless. Setting There's one picnic table next to the food truck, but if it's taken, you can easily sit in your car or drive to a nearby beach for a spot to eat. Other Cash or Venmo only, so be sure you have one of those methods of payment on hand! read more

Are the hours posted correct? Came on 5/30, 5/31, and 6/1. Each day, it was closed.
Tried 3 times on my trip too. Never open.

Our apology because we can't able to answers your phone calls coz we went for vacation for almost 2 months. Its a planed vacation but when we lost our dad on may 20, 2019 by car accident in honoapilani highway we closed early instead. we are open…
Are the hours on the yelp page not accurate? I stopped by at 6:50pm on Monday 5/20 and the food truck was closed.
The hours posted are correct. We were just there on Friday and Sunday. They probably closed early yesterday cause there's not a lot of foot traffic in that area due to an accident that closed the road in Lahaina
