Plate lunch (shrimp from Geste truck)

Yum!! Came here around noon on a Saturday and it was definitely poppin. The folks were super sweet and mentioned they'd be closed for the next week to visit family so we're glad we caught them in time (and recommend calling ahead to verify they're open). We got the kalua pig and laulau, both of which were delicious. The Mac salad and sides were great too, and the sweet potato was soooo sweet and a great way to round out the meal.

This was one of our best meals in Maui. The lau lau was really soft and tender, and sooo flavorful! The vegetables it was wrapped in absorbed all the flavor as well. I really enjoyed the small side of poke, the taro slice, and the mac salad as well. Would definitely recommend! My food was ready in five minutes and I loved that there was a covered seating area right outside next to the food truck.

Great place and Good Hawaiian food! Friendly service. Nice food cart located across Costco in Kahului, Maui. There is outside seating area under a tent. Recommend and would go back and try other plates on the menu too.

Me and my SO decided to eat food from food trucks this month our first stop is Plantation Plates. Service was good they were friendly and quick everyone was busy. Food well we got: Loco Moco: 9/10 per my SO he said it is pretty good not the traditional way but still good. Lau Lau plate: 7/10 it's good but they literally wrapped it way too much! lol more lu'au leaves than meat my throat is itchy now I guess I'm still looking for the best lau lau plate on the Island. If you do eat here for dinner make sure you have a jacket on it gets pretty windy and cold! it was a good experience I may come back and try the other plates

Plantation Plate is turning into one of our go-to to places when we come to Maui. I still enjoy the Chicken Hekka, which has the clear vermicelli noodles and vegetables. The sauce is sweet and slightly tart and the portions are excellent. We really enjoy our visits here and will look forward to returning.

Fantasic Hawaiian food. Tried the Kalua pork this time and it was super solid. Very friendly team working and clean truck. The mac salad wasn't my fav since it had tuna but that's just a personal preference. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and quick service at a price that didn't break the bank. Wife and I shared the teriyaki chicken and it was delicious. Came with white rice and macaroni salad. When in Maui, you gotta try it !

We were driving around and came across Costco so we went there to fill gas in our rental car. Coming out of the parking lot, we saw a whole bunch of food trucks so decided to check it out to see if there's anything we'd want to eat for dinner before we fly home to Oahu. Walked around to different trucks and was planning to order from one of them but my husband found this Plantation Plates food truck. Was planning to order his plate first and return to the other but my daughter and I looked over their menu and decided to order our dinner from here too. My husband ordered the Shoyu Chicken plate. It was served with 2 scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, toss salad, Kim Chee with 2 good size pieces of Shoyu Chicken. The person taking my order was very nice, helpful and friendly. Told her about my husband's allergy and she asked questions to make sure all that would be in his plate was okay. He enjoyed his food and thought the chicken was very tasty...I tried the chicken and liked it too! My daughter ordered the Kalua Pig plate. It was served with 2 scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, ahi poke, lomi lomi salmon, sweet potato and Kalua pig. WOW, lots of food! She enjoyed her food as well. I ordered the Beef Stew plate. It was served with 2 scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad and the stew. It was really, really tasty and the meat was soooo tender...loved it! There were a lot of cooked carrots which I don't care for so about 7 pieces went to my husband. I think I'll have to remember to request for less carrots when ordering stew for myself. As I was taking pics of the food truck, my daughter kept laughing...wasn't sure why. She then told me that the cook was photo bombing with a Shaka sign. I zoomed in and saw him in my pic...so cute! Overall, food and service were great!

I'm so happy that I gave this food truck a try! We went here on a Sunday at about lunchish about 11:30. My niece knew what she wanted and I was like such did truck am I gonna try! Well I saw this awesome clean food truck that people were picking up their order. I looked over the menu and I already knew what I wanted, Hamburger Steak! My absolute favorite. So I went to the window and I was greeted by the kindest, sweetest gal. So took my order and as i waited i enjoyed their music that they were playing. My name was called and off we went. They didn't take that long to Prepare it. I'm so glad that I got to try here today. If you're in the mood looking for local plate lunches please come here. I enjoyed my Hamburger Steak which came with 2 beef patties smothered in brown gravy and topped with onions and mushrooms. The other plate that we chose was the beef Teriyaki. They were out of Pork that day. But will be back soon enough to try it! Plus will try all of their food. Everything sounds delicious

Great customer service. Order taker is pleasant and have their Hawaiian smile. Ordered the chopped steaks and it was big serving and so tasty. Will definitely come back here when we arrive and depart the airport. Recommended to be one of the go to resto in Maui. Added to my list. Yelp is saying that they are permanently close but they are open and still in the same place, near Costco and airport. Mahalo!

Located in the food truck court near the airport. Delicious plates, great prices and portions. We opted for the Lau Lau Plate ($12) -the lau lau was tender, fall apart, fatty. The sides are also awesome (a bit of poke, mac salad, fluffy rice, and sweet potato).

It was a short 5 min hop over from the airport to Da Tambayan Corner and parking in the adjacent lot was easy. All the food trucks are ringed around the central tables and look for the aquamarine Da Soriano truck over by the road. Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.

We have tried quite a few of the trucks and there were long lines and I was hungry so we drifted over to Kaipo's as they didn't have much of a line. Staff were ready for a laugh with us and we ordered the Shrimp Dynamite and the Rib Eye. They were quick to cook em up, just long enough for us to buy some pineapple lemonade from the stand next door (Wailemi). The food was MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD. I cannot understand how they didn't have a long line!! People are missing out here! My Shrimp Dynamite was served in a small container, full of melty mushroomy goodness, with crunchy courgette, shrimp cooked to perfection and a creamy sauce on top. It wasn't as hot as I like, but I only deem something spicy when I can't feel the front of my face and steam is coming out of my ears so perhaps it is spicy enough for the general public. Nevertheless it was DROOLWORTHY, so good I had to share a single piece of courgette with my husband, but that was all he was getting! No more, Nada, nope. All mine! Hubbs didn't take long to demolish his with gusto, and he was 110% satisfied with dinner. Meat was cooked just right. We liked the scoop of macaroni salad, and the green salad with mustard dressing and scoop of rice that came with each dish. All were delicious and complimentary to each other.
