I'm posting pictures of my experience. I went in where it says entrance. A despicable punk came over and said, "Next time come to the entrance on the other end," and spun around and walked off. I went BACK out the way I came in and left. It's real sad that these brats have no manners and are representing establishments as stuck up and snobby, besides the fact that I am 71. There'swere maybe 8 people seated in the place, so I wasn't an inconvenience and besides that, it says restaurant entrance, that all other go in at the other end.

Another great meal at Havens! Stopped by for some poke before attempting a Costco run. This time I decided to try the poke nachos. Poke is fresh, flavorful and melts in your mouth. Very filling and tasty! Still a regular stop when in Kahului.

Maybe the best poke I've ever had. So fresh! We were coming from the airport and had to wait a long time for our bags. I was starving and needed to eat something before heading to our hotel. Luckily I had looked up this food truck park in advance and it was like 10 minutes from the airport. I was thinking of getting a plate lunch but those would have taken longer and my family was waiting for me. So I went to Havens and ordered the LOCAL POKE bowl. They have a few other styles, but this is the one, people. So ono!! It was $23, and I would have liked a second scoop of rice because it wasn't huge. But it was seriously the freshest pokey with the most delicious marinade. Sea asparagus too. I can't complain about the size when it really was poke perfection for my palate. I definitely recommend stopping here to or from the airport. So delicious ! (oh, and they also have burgers, meat, fish, or vegetarian. But the local poke was incredible.)

I ordered the boujee burger because that's me... lol! It was delicious The only thing that I didn't love was the bun. It needed to be a little more substantial as the burger was messy and full of sauce the bun fell apart. Service was quick. The ambiance is a large food truck gravel lot a little past Costco with lots of shade and picnic tables.

Paniolo burger was trash Poke was good except portion sucks. One scoop rice? Come on guys. It's $23 dollars, rice is cheap.

This burger was the best I've had. So flavorful and delicious. The food trucks were all in one area which was nice for other family to get what they wanted. There was also love entertainment which made it fun for a family outing.

My husband and I got the shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. Welcoming customer service from the girl at the window. Food also came out fast. Loved the fact that they used sushi rice for the rolls. Amazing!

One of my favorite smash burger places - the Umami and Boujee burgers are my favorite, but I also loved the one that had pineapple on it! Super satisfying and filling, worth a try for burger lovers visiting Kahului! - Miguel Morales Photography

Man this is an awesome burger. Located in the food truck court across from Costco, this burger is worth a visit. It's an iconic smash burger made just the way you hope and with great ingredients and an awesome bun.

Decadent and delicious! The burgers feel a bit on the greasy side but we still love coming here. The fish sandwich was ONOOOO.

It was a short 5 min hop over from the airport to Da Tambayan Corner and parking in the adjacent lot was easy. All the food trucks are ringed around the central tables and look for the aquamarine Da Soriano truck over by the road. Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!

The truck itself is fun, painted with bright tropical colors and scenes, and they seem to be known for their loaded tots and bao buns. I placed my order on the touchscreen outside and then sat down to wait for my food. For lunch on this day I went with the buffalo chicken tots and the Island Piggy bao. The menu described the bao as kalua pork, BBQ sauce, tropical salsa, and pickled red onions. The buffalo chicken tots were described as buttermilk fried chicken, buffalo sauce, jack cheddar cheese, house made pickles, and ranch dressing. It took less than 10 minutes for my food to be ready and I sat down at one of the shaded picnic tables. When I opened everything up it all looked good, but I did notice that the tots were missing the house made pickles. I started with the bao and thought it was pretty good. The kalua pork was super juicy and the bao bun was light and fluffy while still holding together well. The pickled onions added a nice acidity and the tropical salsa brought good flavor. The only thing I did not notice much was the BBQ sauce. After that I dug into the tots. The tots themselves were cooked nicely with a crispy outside and soft inside. The chicken was good as well with a nice batter and the buffalo sauce added flavor while the cheese was gooey. The only thing worth noting is that the chicken was softer than expected and not very crispy. It worked since I did have the texture from the crispy tots, but it stood out. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I would probably not order both a bao and tots again as it was a lot of food, but I would definitely come back for one or the other.

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.
