Located across from the Costco, this Bao food truck caught our attention. We chose the pork belly and the Philly. The pork belly we got was too dry so it was a disappointment. So the Philly was better because that wasn't dry but it was greasy. We paid about $20 for 2 baos and we felt it was way too pricey and the man taking our order was not friendly at all. I would not recommend unfortunately.

Pork belly and Uncle Philly bao

My husband and I couldn't agree on what we wanted for lunch after landing, so we decided to hit up a few food trucks down the street from the airport. I chose this delicious bao truck. I got the Uncle Philly and a classic pork belly bao (I forgot the name of it). The pork belly bao was lick your lips delicious! The Uncle Philly had a little bit too much going on, but was still good. Service was fast and super friendly! We will return to try the kahlua pork bao

You need this. Pork belly bao perfection.

If you've never had a bao bun - do it now. If you have, still do it now. These were awesome. Like, it's hard to find a bao bun you don't like, but these solidly raised the bar. For the classic, we had to do the pork belly (little piggy) - soft purple ube bun, luscious pork, just the right amount of pickle in the daikon, slight heat of jalapeño, and a touch of cilantro. Bomb! For something totally different we also got the duck duck goat, and I can say it's rare to find confit duck this tender outside of France. I may have even preferred this one, though that feels like cheating on the pork belly. Next time I may try all the others.

Delicious and creative options. I felt like the flavor was a little lacking on the ones I got, and the prices were steep, but over all it was a yummy food truck option.

Amazing food and service! Far better than pricier resort dining! I'm definitely going back on way to airport. Highly recommend!

These were fantastic! I've never had such a fresh boa bun. We had the pork, chicken and shrimp and all were really good. The pork was my favorite though. Service was friendly and quick.

The food was good. Nice combination of ingredients. However, given the size, a bit over priced.

It was a short 5 min hop over from the airport to Da Tambayan Corner and parking in the adjacent lot was easy. All the food trucks are ringed around the central tables and look for the aquamarine Da Soriano truck over by the road. Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!

The most fun part was trying to determine what flavors/items were in each layer of the dessert cup. The halo halo wasn't overly sweetened and was just the perfect blend of creamy and refreshing.

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.

We have tried quite a few of the trucks and there were long lines and I was hungry so we drifted over to Kaipo's as they didn't have much of a line. Staff were ready for a laugh with us and we ordered the Shrimp Dynamite and the Rib Eye. They were quick to cook em up, just long enough for us to buy some pineapple lemonade from the stand next door (Wailemi). The food was MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD. I cannot understand how they didn't have a long line!! People are missing out here! My Shrimp Dynamite was served in a small container, full of melty mushroomy goodness, with crunchy courgette, shrimp cooked to perfection and a creamy sauce on top. It wasn't as hot as I like, but I only deem something spicy when I can't feel the front of my face and steam is coming out of my ears so perhaps it is spicy enough for the general public. Nevertheless it was DROOLWORTHY, so good I had to share a single piece of courgette with my husband, but that was all he was getting! No more, Nada, nope. All mine! Hubbs didn't take long to demolish his with gusto, and he was 110% satisfied with dinner. Meat was cooked just right. We liked the scoop of macaroni salad, and the green salad with mustard dressing and scoop of rice that came with each dish. All were delicious and complimentary to each other. Very filling, very satisfying and totally DEEEELICIOUS. If you visit this roach coach park you have to try Kaipo's. It is one of the best there and you don't have to wait! Plus the staff are full of fun and friendly ;) I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL OUR NEXT VISIT

I believe the truck had 2 guys and they put out the food relatively quickly. We ordered the ribeye steak which they cooked the steak medium (as requested) and came with rice, macaroni salad and vegetables. Additionally, we had the chicken plate as well. Both dishes were great, just on the pricy side and maybe ask for the sauce on the side. Parking can be found on the street or across at the lot.
