Grabbed a Korean Chicken Plate on the way home. Good flavor but not moist. Loved the salad but would have wanted more and a little pricey for me. Friendly service. Good location if you're shopping at Target or Lowes but no seating available to eat.

We ordered the ahi katsu. The ahi could have been seasoned more as besides the outside of the fish, there wasn't really much taste. The fish itself also wasn't very tender. The portion felt smaller than what others had said in their reviews. It would have been nice if it came with other sides to provide a bit more variety to the meal.

Garlic fried chicken was good in that the garlic was cooked! Small portion of rice compared to other restaurants. Salad was so so. We got this to go too so didn't eat it fresh. Probably would've been better.

Opened late, skimped on the hot sauce after we ordered two plates with extra chicken and steak (said she could only give one for both of us), and wasn't friendly. Food was ok (except for the chicken it was over fried), but not worth the price. Theres good food trucks down the street that are way better. Posted an updated menu.

Y'all this is so good I literally almost forgot to make a review before finishing it. They were also super friendly and helpful answering questions

This food was AMAZING! The woman working at the food truck was so nice. This was our first stop after landing in Maui and the ahi katsu was really crispy, juicy, and unique. Garlic shrimp was great too. Sauces were so flavorful. Definitely recommend!

Service is decently fast. They make everything to order so it'll take 15-20 minutes. You can order online ahead of time and beat the line with their QR code. This was my first time so I got the garlic ahi, the sauce was tasty. To be honest it was slightly over cooked but the sauce made up for it. It came with 3 panko crusted filets, rice and tossed salad. $20. It a little on the pricier side but Maui is expensive and it is ahi. They are located in the Kahului Lowe's parking lot. Can't miss the nicest food truck on Maui, I'll be back to try the ribeye!

I come here usually for their ahi katsu, and every once in a while I get the wasabi glaze (really good to clear your sinuses instantly with how it tingles the senses in a good way), and they always have repeat customers for a reason! Staff is super nice, and I love that they continue to help their community when they can and they offered a day for free ahi katsu, and everyone had positive things to say after their visit. Would definitely try the wasabi glaze at least once! - Miguel Morales Photography

The food truck was easy to find in the Lowe's parking lot. After ordering I waited maybe 10 minutes. We shared the Garlic Ahi Katsu and Ribeye Combo. Hard to find good food but we found it, delicious.. Perfect amount of food for the two of us.

After a delayed connecting flight, we had no time to eat before getting on our next flight to Maui. We arrived at the Lowe's parking lot where this food truck was located. Took us some time to figure out where the food truck was parked considering how big this parking lot was. I got the ribeye steak and garlic shrimp, also comes with rice and a small salad. After surviving on pretzels, I ate the whole thing. It was delish. Great portion as well. Since there were no tables to sit at, we ate on the hood of our rental car.

We had just finished our one-day Road to Hana outing so was looking for quick easy dinner place and so happy we found this place! The food was so delicious and filling after a full day of RTH adventures. Loved the half-half option so we were able to try multiple entree options! Fried poke was interesting- nicely fried, delicious sauce on top.

Such a great place to start your day at this amazing food truck! Had to have it once we came back to Maui from the mainland!

    Ribeye and Korean Chicken
    Marissa S.

Hands down the best meal we've had in Maui. We ate here twice, 1st upon arrival and 2nd time was right before leaving the island, and not because it's strategically located near the airport, but because everything we've had here was beyond perfection. The ribeye was tender and flavorful, the Korean chicken pieces were crispy on the outside with a tangy garlicky flavor, the Garlic Shrimp was similar to the Korean chicken in terms of taste, while my top two dishes here which you cannot miss out on were the Furikake Fried Poke and Wasabi Glazed Ahi Katsu. I've never had Ahi Poke prepared this way and I simply cannot rave enough about it. Think fried cubes of fresh tuna with each bite so juicy and oozing with flavor. The Wasabi Glazed Ahi Katsu were two big pieces of tuna, breaded with a crispy exterior and doused with wasabi and mayo on top. Wow! 808 Plates is the real deal if you're looking for good Hawaiian eats on the island. The price doesn't break the bank either, with a decent amount of portion for each serving. The combo allows you to choose two proteins so we went that route to try more stuff. Remember, it's a food truck stationed in the Lowe's parking lot. Don't expect tables here. You can either eat in your car or get it to-go, just don't make this the deal breaker or you will miss out, big time.

My husband and I took our retired pastors to Maui to renew our 40th anniversary and their 50th wedding anniversary. When we landed, I found this place on yelp. So we had breakfast here. Wow! So good. The food, the service. Not a large place, but at the time it wasn't busy and we got to sit down. After touring the big island the week before, then here on Maui we all decided that faithful grinds was our favorite place to dine. Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious and made with love. So on the way back home to fly out we all decided we need to go back. Again so good not busy, until later the line was out the door. So glad we got to eat before our flight. They all feel like family to me. I even posted a photo of the two gals working the front with me. It's like we could be cousins. The place is truly a small hole in the wall with the feel of the islands. I would totally come back every time I fly down. I recently noticed that people have been complaining due to seating. Why complain? So glad they are blessed and doing so well that they are so busy. Unfortunately for us once I post this review, they'll most likely get even more people lining out the door. That what happened to our favorite sushi place in Seattle. Once I posted a review, you can barely get reservations. Blessings to you all faithful grinds. Until we meet again! Aloha

But, the biz didn't answer their phone. All I got was the automated "voicemail not set up" pre-recorded message. A coworker called, same thing. Another coworker chimed in and said to order online but I was apprehensive to do so if they weren't actually open. She then called and actually got through, but got yelled at and scolded, told they're busy and to order online and even hung up on her. Really? I get it that everybody is short staffed, so why not activate your voicemail with a greeting to "order online" or just answer the phone cordially and relay the message? How can you treat customers like this, let alone locals who are your bread & butter? OVERALL: If service isn't good, I can't continue to patronize or recommend a place no matter how good the food is. I welcome this second biz, to my new collection, "Bad Service".

The Chantilly brownie was very chocolaty with a hint of Chantilly and nuts only on top. Both bars were a Shareable size. We've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my experiences here, but last night I had a dish that compelled me to write a review. The oxtail soup which is listed as a favorite is a dish I've been eyeing for a while, but it's usually been too warm for me to crave it. But last night was the night. I'm getting over a cold and it's been raining off and on for weeks. The bowl arrived at the table with a plate underneath - smart move because it takes some work to eat oxtail soup. Armed with my fork and spoon, I went at it. The first taste floored me. It was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the fresh ginger, the broth was a beautiful brown color, there was plenty of napa cabbage and it came with a dish of a scoop of glossy steamed rice and steamed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Our waitress offered to bring over condiments so I went for the soy sauce - sprinkled on the rice and veggies, I noticed that the veggies might have had a little sesame oil flavor on them so that made me happy. A spoonful of rice dunked into the broth with some of the tender fall of the bone oxtail meat, and a little crunch of the napa cabbage and I was in absolute heaven. I tasted my husband's pork adobo and that was equally as delicious as always. But that soup - that's what really did it for me last night and stays with me today. I walked out of Tante's with a swollen and happy belly and a fresh, tiny piece of ginger stuck between my teeth...a treat for later.
