Ive been to this food truck park several times and each time this truck has never been open. I finally was able to try it and was not disappointed. I ordered the Unagi Donburi because theres a picture of it on the side of the truck and it looks delicious. Its a rice bowl which comes with eel and a side avocado salad. Everything tased amazing. The Eel was perfectly seasoned, the sauce was tasty and the avocado salad was fresh. I would definitely order this again.

This food truck is so underrated. I've never seen a sushi food truck before and I had to try it. I was helped by a really nice lady. I ordered the yellowtail donburi, if you know me then you know that I'm in love with hamachi everything. I was surprised how big the plate was! It came with rice, salad, avocado, and a good portion of sweet & spicy hamachi. Every bite tasted amazing and it was beautifully presented. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place.

Love the idea of a food truck offering sushi and Japanese food, one of my favorites foods to eat. Unfortunately, this place fell short in my opinion. And it really pains me to give a poor review, especially during these times. They have a fun cool looking truck located right across of Costco in Kahului. And there menu is vibrant with pictures of the food they offer. I was quickly greeted and received quick and acquitted customer service. I settled on the Dragon roll and Caterpillar Roll, which arrived looking exactly as pictured which they make fresh to order. Sadly, the the first thing I noticed when I took the first bite was the mushy rice. And anyone who eats sushi knows that makes a huge difference. And it was mushy for both of my rolls. Which at $18 a roll, was a bummer. There was also, a different taste in the sauce for the Dragon roll that I didn't care for, and I couldn't pin point what it was. This truck has many great reviews, so maybe it was just an off day.

I really hate to do this, but this was really disappointing. For $18 the tuna donburi was a really bright artificial red color, not mixed with anything special and the salad was too lemony for my tastes. I would have been better off with a poke bowl from Foodland for half the price. For $16 on the shrimp tempura bowl, it was 3 small pieces of tempura shrimp and the same salad. Way over priced for mediocre food. The rainbow roll was supposed to be one of their more popular rolls with hamachi, salmon and ahi. It was just okay. I wasn't blown away by any special flavors or textures and they were charging $18. The spicy tuna roll had the weird colored ahi again and once again it was edible but not memorable. I was hoping one out of the 4 items we purchased would stand out, but it really fell flat. Hopefully, they make some improvements to the level of sushi they produce. If you're going to label yourself a sushi truck, you've set a high bar for what's expected in terms of fish quality.

We really enjoyed the Unagi Bowl. Sushi is never cheap, but the quality and portion at Sushi Kochi is spot on and a good value IMO. The seaweed salad and cucumber salad are also nicely seasoned and refreshing. Service was friendly and smooth. I give this spot a definite recommend.

My family wanted poke for our last night in Maui and we were lucky to find this food truck. The poke was fresh and seasoned well! This was definitely fresher and tastier than poke I can find back home, but didn't taste as fresh as other poke we tried in Maui. Regardless, it was still good and the salad and avocado were great complements to this meal!

It was a short 5 min hop over from the airport to Da Tambayan Corner and parking in the adjacent lot was easy. All the food trucks are ringed around the central tables and look for the aquamarine Da Soriano truck over by the road. Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.

We have tried quite a few of the trucks and there were long lines and I was hungry so we drifted over to Kaipo's as they didn't have much of a line. Staff were ready for a laugh with us and we ordered the Shrimp Dynamite and the Rib Eye. They were quick to cook em up, just long enough for us to buy some pineapple lemonade from the stand next door (Wailemi). The food was MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD. I cannot understand how they didn't have a long line!! People are missing out here! My Shrimp Dynamite was served in a small container, full of melty mushroomy goodness, with crunchy courgette, shrimp cooked to perfection and a creamy sauce on top. It wasn't as hot as I like, but I only deem something spicy when I can't feel the front of my face and steam is coming out of my ears so perhaps it is spicy enough for the general public. Nevertheless it was DROOLWORTHY, so good I had to share a single piece of courgette with my husband, but that was all he was getting! No more, Nada, nope. All mine! Hubbs didn't take long to demolish his with gusto, and he was 110% satisfied with dinner. Meat was cooked just right. We liked the scoop of macaroni salad, and the green salad with mustard dressing and scoop of rice that came with each dish. All were delicious and complimentary to each other. Very filling, very satisfying and totally DEEEELICIOUS. If you visit this roach coach park you have to try Kaipo's. It is one of the best there and you don't have to wait! Plus the staff are full of fun and friendly ;) I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL OUR NEXT VISIT
