Located in old town Wailuku.. the area looks more commercial than residential, but tucked in the street is this cute restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but they sure do serve up a good meal! I feel like I've been missing out all these years.. the dry noodles and beef stick were perfection! The cha shu topping on the eggy noodles, such a good combo. The beef stick was tender and flavorful. The complimentary soup balanced all the flavors... and I wrapped up my meal with a Lima bean manju. Nice and buttery exterior paired perfectly with the Lima bean filling. I really liked that the bean paste wasn't too sweets All in all loved this place and will be back! Staff super friendly, food comes out fast and it's sooo ono - what's not to love? I will add I order a small dry noodles and had extra so took left overs to go and made a sunny side egg and put it on top of my reheated noodles. Winner of a meal!

I would order these again in a heartbeat! 5/5! Cons- I preordered a medium pan of dry noodles with veg. I was expecting some kind of vegetable in the noodles. I'm allergic to bean sprouts, so asked they not be used in the dish, but I thought carrots, yellow onions, something... nope, it was just noodles and green onions! No meat either, which surprised me. I ordered what I thought was their deluxe dry, but it was super plain. That was disappointing for sure. I would not order this again. Parking is also crazy tight and limited. Holy smokes, that Mochicko Chicken [Hawaiian-style fried chicken made by marinating bite-sized chicken pieces in a sweet and savory soy-garlic batter featuring mochiko (sweet rice flour) before deep-frying] is the bomb! Super crispy bits, amazing flavor, served over garlic noodles...man alive, if you are in Maui and don't grab takeout here, you may as well not go to Maui. I usually go for the Ramen Combo that includes a mini Ramen (or udon if you prefer) and a side of your choice. Because it's mini, it comes with green onions and a Chashu (slice of Pork) only. You can choose between Tantan, Tonkotsu, or Black Garlic Broth to name a few. I love me some Garlic but I was still working so I opted for Tonkotsu and added an egg. The seasonings are a great enhancer to pair with if you want to add some Spicy Oil, Garlic or Vinegar. The gyoza is also my go to side dish. I do love the Pork Fried Rice and also Mini Curry as well is work getting. If you like beef, the Beef Gyodon bowl is tasty with thin slices of beef and egg on top rice. Chicken Katsu Curry is good too. I always prefer Curry on side to keep that Katsu crunch. If I want a boba, I'll usually get a Honeydew (you can also get them blended) over Ice but I went for the Fresh Lemonade. They did a Honey wall inside the cup and added slices of Lemon. The menu has all the familiar Thai favorites, but also dishes that are hard to come by in the States. We tried quite a few things, and everything was excellent. Our favorites were the Spicy Basil (pad krapow) and Mom's Sausage (sai oua). The pad krapow comes with ground meat, as it should, and has that savory, spicy, fragrant flavor I look for. Mom's Sausage is incredibly flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The Pad Mama is another standout. It's a simple Thai comfort dish made with instant noodles, but they do it perfectly. And don't skip the mango sticky rice! The sticky rice was warm, soft, and pillowy, and the mango was perfectly ripe. Everyone here is super friendly too. The interior is cute, creative, and full of little details that show how much thought went into the place. They even play Thai country music in the background. One tip for first-timers: when you arrive, grab a menu from the check-in spot outside the restaurant, to the left of the dining area. Then head into the dining area and they'll seat you. You order through the QR code at your table and pay + tip when you place your order. Food is served in paper takeout containers. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Maui!

I know what tilapia costs versus pompano and if you're going to charge me $30 for fish, I would expect to get what I ordered. I messaged them through their social media since their phone doesn't work so hopefully they respond and do the right thing. We've been loyal customers and this isn't cool. Dinner takeouts are not cheap on island so when we splurge for the $30 fish, we hope to get just that.
