We stopped by Nuis garden kitchen after a long walk at the nearby kula botanical gardens. The front of house/chef was extremely friendly and helpful answer any questions that we had! I had the tofu pad Thai and my husband had the smoked noodles. I really wanted to like the dishes as I LOVE Thai food, however the flavors did not meet the mark for me. There was just something off about the flavor combos and I only ate a few bites. My husband said the same about his dish. We spent the day in the national park and it was a long way back to restaurants so we spotted this Thai food truck out of nowhere, and it was a great find. Food is hot and fresh, I had the chicken curry and a Thai iced tea, curry had great flavor and the tea was delicious and what I've come to expect from a Thai tea. Husband got pad Thai with chicken it had a slightly different flavor than what we were used to but different regions prepare it differently and it was nonetheless flavorful and delicious. $29 for 2 including drinks so it was cheapest we ate on the island! Such a delicious hidden Thai spot! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile - it's a little tucked away and it was absolutely delicious! My husband and I both got their Pad Thai - he got the beef and I got vegan - and it was super flavorful. The vegan one has a variety of nuts, veggies, and mushrooms and it came with such a nice side salad (the dressing is amaaaazing!). (My pic doesn't do it justice, plus it got tossled a bit in the car.) It's a food truck but there are some benches (some closer to the farmer's market area behind the food truck as well). When we went it was decently busy but it only took like 15 min to order and get our food. So worth it if you are a Thai food fan!!! read more

Maui Nui Farms food truck is on the side of the road next to Maui Nui Farms. I LOVE their Beef salad, Pad Thai, and stir-fry. The portioning is a lot! The side dish when ordering a plate, has fruits from orange, pitataya, and side salad. They have the best peanut dressing!!! You get the nost bang for your buck! I highly reccomend them! read more

Worst service ever !!! I use this Thai food truck 2 times a week and love their food. No more. When we arrived this afternoon, no one was around. No worries , we will wait. When the guy who always helps us arrives he takes our order and We wait on the picnic bench. I ask him if I could pick 2 Lilikoi's that were hanging on the vine and He said ok. A minute later , the other guy who must be The owner started yelling at me. I told him I asked but he was yelling thru the screen at me. Such a jerk. Then... before we were finished eating, he grabs his hose and starts spraying the bush behind us and tells us to leave! I asked for five More minutes and he said NO Leave! He got my car wet... This is a food truck that appears permanently parked in Kula near the farmer's market. We say it on our way out and had to stop after driving the road to Hana like apparently a few other folks. I had the vegetable curry because the chicken curry was sold out. I also had the pork bowl so to add to it. It was thicker than I usually like curry but it was obviously because it had been simmering all day. The flavors were really good! We also got the pad thai which was okay.
