Just a simple Thai food truck just before heading up Haleakala. Came here for Take out, you can also dine there they have one picnic table. Had their curry chicken which apparently is their best seller, and their beef pad Thai. Both were good but I preferred the pad Thai, their noodles were cooked perfectly. read more

We stopped by Nuis garden kitchen after a long walk at the nearby kula botanical gardens. The front of house/chef was extremely friendly and helpful answer any questions that we had! I had the tofu pad Thai and my husband had the smoked noodles. I really wanted to like the dishes as I LOVE Thai food, however the flavors did not meet the mark for me. There was just something off about the flavor combos and I only ate a few bites. My husband said the same about his dish. Had the opportunity to stop by on our way from Haleakala to Haiku. Food was fresh, flavorful and light. Super tasty and well-seasoned without excessive use of sauces. Vegetables tasted very fresh. Salad dressing on the side salad was a treat. Thai iced tea wasn't overly sweet or heavy. I don't usually like fried rice but I loved this fried rice. So did my toddler! We spent the day in the national park and it was a long way back to restaurants so we spotted this Thai food truck out of nowhere, and it was a great find. Food is hot and fresh, I had the chicken curry and a Thai iced tea, curry had great flavor and the tea was delicious and what I've come to expect from a Thai tea. Husband got pad Thai with chicken it had a slightly different flavor than what we were used to but different regions prepare it differently and it was nonetheless flavorful and delicious. $29 for 2 including drinks so it was cheapest we ate on the island! Such a delicious hidden Thai spot! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile - it's a little tucked away and it was absolutely delicious! My husband and I both got their Pad Thai - he got the beef and I got vegan - and it was super flavorful. The vegan one has a variety of nuts, veggies, and mushrooms and it came with such a nice side salad (the dressing is amaaaazing!). (My pic doesn't do it justice, plus it got tossled a bit in the car.) It's a food truck but there are some benches (some closer to the farmer's market area behind the food truck as well). When we went it was decently busy but it only took like 15 min to order and get our food. So worth it if you are a Thai food fan!!! read more

If you are looking for the best Thai food upcountry, head to Maui Nui Farms good truck! I used to go to Thai Mee Up in Pukalani. I did not like how the food is always sweet, especially the peanuts. Maui Nui Farms food truck is on the side of the road next to Maui Nui Farms. I LOVE their Beef salad, Pad Thai, and stir-fry. The portioning is a lot! The side dish when ordering a plate, has fruits from orange, pitataya, and side salad. They have the best peanut dressing!!! You get the nost bang for your buck! I highly reccomend them! read more

A little off the beaten path but what isn't in Maui? Food was really good and fresh, they also have a farmers market and I guess the veggies come from their farm. The owner was super nice and even gave us a free bottle of water when I asked for 3X Spicy. Btw, 3x spicy is REALLY Freaking spicy so beware! We got the stir fry and pad thai, so good and amazing flavor. I dreamt about this for weeks after returning to the mainland and tried and failed to recreate it at home. We stopped by this food truck since we were visiting another site close by, but now I'm certain we will be back, probably more than once, during our stay on this island. When ordering, I was asking what the flavor was on the heavenly pork. I was offered a taste test! Immediately sold! The portion sizes were good and the food delicious and hot. Worst service ever !!! I use this Thai food truck 2 times a week and love their food. No more. When we arrived this afternoon, no one was around. No worries , we will wait. When the guy who always helps us arrives he takes our order and We wait on the picnic bench. I ask him if I could pick 2 Lilikoi's that were hanging on the vine and He said ok. A minute later , the other guy who must be The owner started yelling at me. I told him I asked but he was yelling thru the screen at me. Such a jerk. Then... before we were finished eating, he grabs his hose and starts spraying the bush behind us and tells us to leave! I asked for five More minutes and he said NO Leave! He got my car wet... I had to roll up the window. Worst customer service ... so rude. You will not get any more of my business !!! read more

This is a food truck that appears permanently parked in Kula near the farmer's market. We say it on our way out and had to stop after driving the road to Hana like apparently a few other folks. I had the vegetable curry because the chicken curry was sold out. I also had the pork bowl so to add to it. It was thicker than I usually like curry but it was obviously because it had been simmering all day. The flavors were really good! We also got the pad thai which was okay. We asked if he could make it spicy and he said he would add peppers on the side and they were forgotten. We like spicy food and you aren't going to find it here. read more

We are parked in front of our 40 acre farm where we grab fresh produce daily! NO GMOs! We have a farmers market that is also open Thursday-Sunday 9-5. Always fast and friendly service. Don’t forget the beautiful view of Haleakalā.

History

Established in 2015.

This business started because of the amount of produce we had with our 40 acre farm. The owner became a certified chef and decided he wanted to make something of the extra produce. The chef wanted to feed people who needed and wanted it. Eventually the business grew with the farm and here we are serving traditional thai food and delicious local food!

Meet the Business Owner: Ope K.

Born and raised in Thailand, the chef learned all of his thai tricks from his grandma growing up. All of the recipes at our food truck, the chef had to repeat over and over again for years to make sure grandma was happy with the product. He eventually became a professional and loved through his grandmas famous creations.

Could have been a bit larger for the $15, the value is not there only if you compare to what you make at home, otherwise it's probably disappointedly normal. When you get your six inch diameter bowl you will see what I mean. The heap of rice made for good entertainment feeding the chickens. You're discouraged from feeding them so I just sat the bowl down behind the coffee guys trailer and watched them pig out. It is not exactly "Fast" food here, they are actually cooking the meal while you wait. I had my order in 12 minutes though, exactly how long she said it would take.

Kula, HI. In the mood for a burger but not a fast food…read morevariety. This location is in a food truck complex with quite a busy vibe. If you can't find a picnic table you may have to eat in your car. I ordered the Kula Burger. It was quite good. Is it a premium $15 burger? No it is not, but it wants to be. I would suggest a bit more size and you got it. The patty was cooked medium plus, still exhibiting juice. It was well over a half inch thick which is a rarity these days. If it could just make it to 3/4 inch (Cooked) it would be awesome.The jack cheese was very mild, adding little to the flavor. The sauce was a good compliment to the flavor of the meat that had that lean taste to it. The bun was pretty fluffy, kind of dominating. It was toasted on the inside faces but still needs a bit more heat. It held up well though to the end, not at all turning mushy. Over all, not bad, above average for sure.

Everything was so tasty and delicious. 10/10 recommend for a good breakfast. The service was great too with super friendly cashier. Only issue is the flies that come around when the food comes... they did have a fly fan on our table but it wasn't working. But small price to pay for a good outdoor breakfast! We will definitely come back to try lunch next time.

Menu options include vegan and gluten free choices as well as local favorites like kalua pig and truffle mushroom (my go-to, since I love mushrooms). The dough is made from flour imported from Italy, and the chef uses it to create a crust with the perfect combination of chewy and crispy: even if you're not typically a crust eater, I bet you will eat the crust on these pizzas! The super-hot wood fired oven turns out beautifully blistered crust, bubbly cheese, and toppings that are cooked just right. They're located in the food truck court by Longs at Kulamalu center, with plenty of seating at shaded picnic tables.
