My experience was straightforward. Ashley Tello helped me with my Data Recovery Request. It was smooth. The charges were high but for my data I had no choice. Ashley Tello Customer Service Represenative Datarecovery.com, Inc. 1241 Quarry Lane, #115 Pleasanton, CA 94566 800-237-4200 ext 201 Fax: 800.299.7815 I was charged $950 for Data Recovery and $99 for the Passport Drive. It was a 4TB Storage Drive and they could not recover one of my folders but rest they did recover fine. They returned me my original hard drive and the new passport drive. I also got timely invoice in email.

When we reached out about retrieving it they said it'll cost $900 but we told them we don't want the service and also it doesn't cost to diagnose so why the cost? Each time we reach out we are told it'll cost $900. Also my husband drove to their business in Pleasanton during business hours and no one seems to be there. When we call their Pleasanton office we get Arizona. This seems fishy and disorganized. Meanwhile, where is our hard drive? Can anyone tell me!? Will we ever get it back?

Danville Computers was the first one to reply in minutes! I waited for other quotes to come in. Danville Computers reached out again to check if I had any questions. I picked them because they could do the job and were nearby. I am very glad to have chosen them because not only was it conveniently located (between my work and home), but the service was great! Fast and efficient. Chase is knowledgeable and professional, yet also friendly and approachable. I explained to Chase what I needed - retrieve my data from my external HD. He assured me that if he couldn't retrieve it, we still had other options. Phew! I am so thankful that my data was found! I had a couple of snags with retrieving my data when I brought my equipment home but Chase was still available to help me make sure I could retrieve and save them safely. Quote was high - and even higher if my drive was damaged. I expected it to be expensive. It took 1-1/2 days which was quicker than I thought it would be. I appreciate that Chase was still available to help me remotely with no extra charge. Thank you!!

When we got the new power cord and it didn't work either, we quickly realized we needed help getting the files off the hard drive of the dead laptop. We hadn't had a chance to backup the files before it died. We put out a project request on Yelp and started looking for companies that could help us We found Fastball Computers and Scott Nelson. Scott responded to our phone call and project request and was able to see us the next day at his shop. We took our laptop and got to watch Scott take out the hard drive and connect it to his computer and then transfer our files to our external hard drive. Scott knows his stuff and explains things so you understand what he is doing. His price was incredibly reasonable for the work he did. We have new laptop for my wife and all her files and pictures and are able to move forward. If you need data recovery services or other computer services, don't hesitate to call Scott. It's nice to have a company near us when we need it.
