Very good service. They measured my stuff quickly and game me a fair price on everything I gave to recycle. Also paid me cash same day.

Bay Shred - untitled

Bay Shred

Marina/Cow Hollow

We recently moved, and had boxes of mail to shred so we scheduled a pickup with Bay Shred. They…read moretold us: "We'll call you thirty minutes before we come over". Then a few days before, we got a worse-than-the-cable guy window of 10:30am - 4pm. We have already moved out of the old place, so this was important -- both my wife & I work, so we couldn't just hang out at an old place with no internet. Two hours passed, and I thought, "What's the most likely failure mode? Calling my wife's phone or forgetting to call?". So I called them and was told "Oh they'll be there in an hour." An hour passed. No call. So I called again, "They're on their way!". Finally it was 3pm, so I drove half an hour back to our old place, on the theory they would have to be there by 4pm... right? No calls on the way to our place, so I called them once I got there. "Let me see if we can find the driver!". Then came the admission that the driver had actually dropped by our place around 1pm, but had simply forgotten to call either of us [!]. I don't rightly know how you can forget this since it was part of the engagement and I called about it repeatedly throughout the day... Anyway, after another 30 minutes of waiting at the empty house in which dispatch told me she would work it out with the operations center. When she finally got back in touch with me, she told me that well, the business closes at 5pm, and well, would I be available the next Tuesday? This was Thursday. Anyway, she promised the driver would be disciplined. I don't really care about that -- maybe this one driver is a screwup, but if your business processes can end up with someone having a _five day_ delay, they don't seem very robust. In fact, they're so bad it made me skeptical of whether I would trust them with shredding personal documents. Anyway, I'd spent so much time at our old house it was rush hour so it took an hour getting home (normal travel time: 20 minutes). My wife & I cancelled the order and we're just carrying the boxes ourselves to another vendor. Maybe they dont make house calls that often? Their website makes it seem like they do, and if so, I just don't think anybody should give this company their business. Honestly, I feel like they owe *me* some money for wasting so much of my time.

recently used a shredding service in San Mateo for a large stack of old financial documents, and…read morethe experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly focused on security. They walked me through the process, answered every question, and made sure everything was handled safely. The pricing was straightforward with no surprise fees, and the drop-off took less than five minutes. The facility was clean, organized, and easy to access with plenty of parking. If you're looking for a reliable and secure shredding service in San Mateo -- whether for a one-time purge or ongoing business needs -- this place is a solid choice. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough about what a great service this company provided to us. No need to look…read moreelsewhere. Angel walked me through the process on the phone - no rush, she was willing to answer any and all questions and gave me some great suggestions on how to make my work easier when pulling together the documents for shredding. Gave me quotes on all the different options, etc. At the end of our conversation, she explained what to look for when contacting other companies. One thing she mentioned was to look out for hidden fees (Proshred is totally upfront with ALL fees). I had previously seen a bad review on another company about hidden fees so that rang a bell for me. After our conversation, Angel sent me an email with everything in writing and every time I emailed her with another question, she got back to me almost immediately. I looked no further and scheduled them to come to my site. Day of: apparently someone called in sick so Mike, the OWNER, showed up to make sure the job got done. Wow, don't see that all the time. Nicest guy - very professional. He was done with our 47 boxes in less than an hour. The price was WAY cheaper than if we'd had to take boxes to a site to be shredded. Based on price per box on other shredding websites, I estimate we saved about $700! And that is if we had taken all 47 boxes to the shredder!!! Bottom line - give Angel a call.

From getting the estimate to watching the shredding process, ProShred is the best. Michelle was…read moreprompt in giving us the pricing breakdown and following up up with my appointment. Paul called me from his prior stop to let me know he would arrive in 20 mins. He explained how the shredder worked and pointed out different things on the monitor.
