We'd been building up a collection of bank statements, credit card applications, and other items that have been connected with identity theft if left untended in the past. Consider it a habit, even if the reality is less scary. Just a lot of things that have little bits and pieces of our identity information floating around, and our bins had been full for a while. I looked up local 'mobile' shredding companies, and this one had a good website and an online estimator for cost, which was a huge bonus! I later learned that I could have shredded up to 10 boxes worth for the same price as my 2.5 boxes, but the cost was still worth it. I totally would have offered to have our neighbor's materials shredded, but they were out of town and might not have wanted to have me collect their sensitive paperwork anyway haha! Scheduling was very easy with inSITE Shredding. Pricing was competitive. I felt safe having them shred my business and personal papers at my home where I can watch them being shredded via camera. I would not have felt comfortable dropping them off somewhere and leaving and there was no way I could shred boxes of papers myself (I tried).
