I had a few bags of paperwork and documents that I needed shredded. Most places wanted $100.00 or more. RAS only charged $25.00 and they shredded it while I was there. It's a small place. I was glad to support a local business. Super friendly people. read more

Very limited hours or service for drop off. Even during business hours, no one was at the drop off location. Called and was advised that the crew was 'out in the field' on a service call and to return in 15minutes. I returned but still no luck. Just as I was leaving someone came and opened up the shop. I told him that I have 9 banker's boxes to be shredded. He then told me immediately that it's almost closing time and he is not able to get to the shredding...!! Mind you he just came to the drop off location. He ended up taking the boxes I needed to be shredded but did not provide any detailed receipt of the transaction; I only received the credit card receipt. I will not be returning to Reliable Affordable Shredding and cannot recommend them as a shredding service. read more

Getting ready to move and had a LOT of old documents to shred. Very nice and helpful guys. Felt very good about their operation!! I was particularly happy that they were open to 'drop-off' as I didn't want to hassle scheduling another service and wanted to be done with this task. I wasn't sure what to expect for price, but was pleased with the final price for the service they provided. Will be taking my old Hard Disk Drives to them shortly, as well! Wish I had thought about doing this earlier!! read more

Highly recommend! Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great prices! Was a little hard to find their specific spot initially, as you need to go into one of the driveways and drive in a bit so better signage would be helpful. read more

Thank you yelpers for recommending this location for shedding. I accumulated one whole year's worth of shredding in a large laundry basket in my garage and it was running out of space so I decided to take or to R.A.S to shred. I use to shred them periodically but the constant credit card offers and sensitive mail came 10 folds and coupled with having a new baby and moving to a new house, this was left by the wayside. I drive up and the owner comes out with a dolly to help me unload. Wow! He charges me $7 for one whole big basket. Why do I even own a shredder!? Everything took 10 minutes. They also shred your old hard drives and computers for a reasonable price. Will definitely return. read more

I started bringing my documents to this place to shred a few months back. They are very nice and professional. Plus I get a certificate of shredding. I used to go to Red Dog Shred, but they keep and store everyone's credit cards in their data base. One time I noticed the guy at their counter at Red Dog Shred entering my credit card info into their computer. He kept trying to distract me by talking about some stupid song, and a few days later someone went to Walmart in Santa Clara and spent $800 of my hard earned money there. I knew exactly what happened and who did it. I posted a bad review on their site and the owner replied that she keeps the card info in their data base in case the charge doesn't go through. That's when I switched to this company, Reliable Affordable Shredding. They don't do anything shady like that. Plus I get to watch them Shred my documents. They are professional and get the job done. read more

These guys are great. Price is the best. Location is a little challenging but well with it!

Reliable charged only $6 to shred 25 lbs of old tax forms. Other services quoted $80 for drive up to my home service. If you can drive and drop off your paper, Reliable will shred the job while you watch. Their shop is unit #13 in this industrial shop. call them if you have trouble finding. Highly recommend to save $$ on your shredding. read more

Oh my gosh, this is the most reasonable shredding place around the area! And the owner is a great guy.

I have a small shredder at home and it is slow and gets stuck. So I had a growing pile of paper(2 kitchen bags full) that I kept ignoring. I finally decided to do something about it, and found this company via Yelp. Super friendly! We watched our stuff being poured into the shredder. The cost was very low! Under $15! And they give you a "certificate of destruction". Highly recommend. I will be getting rid of my home shredding machine and coming here. read more

The company name says it all, Bob, the owner, is reliable, trustworthy, and affordable. It's the only place I will take my important documents to be shredded. Make sure to check his office hours before taking down your paperwork. read more

I was moving out at the end of March and found bags of documents I had hoarded over 4 years. I was very stressed out but I yelped shredding services and called Reliable Affordable Shredding. I was told I could drop off the bags and didn't even have to go thru them to remove the clips, binders etc. I drove over there as soon as I hung up. The man took the bags and the box out of my car, charged me, and gave me a shredding certificate. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders!! The price was in fact affordable/reasonable and much easier than I expected. I was there for about 5 minutes. I threw out my shredder when i got home! Im so excited I found this place. P.s. i was a bit hesitant about dropping the documents off at first but talking to him on the phone before the drop off was helpful and after I met him in person when I dropped off made me feel comfortable enough to leave the documents there. Thanks so much!! read more

Initially, I was going to drive to Red Dog to shred my personal documents but at the last minute I decided to yelped for something closer to home and found this location. Let me say that I am literally typing this review in my car after having my documents being shredded. It's one of those reviews where you just want to share right away. I drove into the lot (easier and quickest to enter from Little Orchard St) and parked on the opposite of where Bob's suite is. As soon as I walked out of the car, Bob started pushing the cart towards my car. It's like he knew. Bob assisted me in getting my 3 shopping bags and 1 small diaper box of documents ($20). I watched my documents get shredded while having a nice conversation with Bob. He is the owner and is super duper friendly. His demeanor and personality is great and you can't help but smile. I am glad I took my documents to Bob and definitely will be recommending friends to him. Quick, affordable, and friendly service. *credit cards accepted w/ at least $20 min. ** certificate of destruction is also provided. read more

There is something so utterly satisfying about watching pounds of confidential material being shredded. RAS has the industrial grade equipment to do this in the fraction of time it would take me to accomplish the task with my Office Depot putt-putt while watching Netflix. Moreover, Bob is simply a trustworthy guy. You get that from him the first time you meet him. Thanks for all you do, Bob. read more

Love this place. We have so many personal documents that we do not have time to sit and shred ourselves. Come her is quick and easy. Drive to the back, drop off n pay. Highly recommend read more

AMAZING SERVICE! TRUSTWORTHY OWNER! GREAT PRICES! I called on Christmas' Eve morning to see if I can come in. The owner said the store is close now and will open on Monday 12/28 but by appointment only. I called back today and made an appointment at 2PM. He mentioned "drop off" but I didn't really pay attention much to that. 2 o'clock came and I went there thinking I would watch the document being shredded. Turned out I misunderstood what the owner was saying and dropped 8 boxes of documents off. I was so nervous and told the owner so. 2 hours later, the owner called me and said he didn't feel "comfortable that I'm not comfortable" and asked me to come back to see him shredding the documents right then and there. I came over as soon as I could. That was one of the best services I have EVER experienced. I would recommend everyone to come here solely for the GREAT SERVICE from the owner, how trustworthy he is, and the amazingly affordable price. I will tell everyone about this business. I just came home right now and the first thing I did was writing this review. This can tell you how much I appreciated what Robert, the owner, did for me. read more

I took 3 bags of stuff to Bob today, my first time here, at the end of his open hours.... He was on his way out, so I was happy to catch him. He wasn't able to shred the docs in front of me, but assured me that he would shred them when he got back. When I got home, I called to see if he'd shredded the docs; he was on his way back to shred them, and offered to call me when he finished so I would know they were done. I appreciated that he understood my need to feel comfortable; based on our interactions and all of the positive comments here, I completely trust him to take care of our shredding. He's a great person -- ethical, trustworthy, and empathetic. read more

Excellent service. Fast and more than fairly priced. I will be sure to use them again.

I had gone to UPS, who is now charging $2.00/lb for 25 lbs and $1.00 per pound after that - what a ripoff. So glad I found this small independent shredding company. I came during the drop-off time and got everything back promptly. What UPS wanted to charge me $71 for, I got taken care of for $12. I highly recommend these folks! read more
