They billed me TWICE for one service! I had to change my credit card number because it looked like they put me on RECURRING billing for monthly charges!! I called TWICE and got NO REPLY. They both said they "couldn't find my second billing" when I'm looking right at it on my credit card statement!! Fortunately, I got my credit card company to reverse the second charge. BUT it is a huge pain to change all my automatic charges to a new credit card number. I HATE THEM!! read more

I am not sure if other people have had similar experiences, but sometimes when I am talking on the phone with the San Jose reps, they aren't always the nicest. Simple questions are responded with blunt and annoyed answers, almost like me asking was bothering them. It has only happened with a couple of people, and I understand that the simplicity of the questions was annoying, however I shouldn't be able to hear the sighs of annoyance over the phone. Maybe the calls need to be recorded for review purposes like at call centers. The pick up drivers are amazing which is what prompted the fourth star!! read more

They are SO friendly and super helpful. I was really happy to have found them on Yelp. They responded fast. Got me all setup in record time. Long story but they went way above and beyond what they had to do. They could just as easily said too bad. You'll have to wait to get started. Their prices are in line with everyone else's. Corodata telemarketers have been a plague on my life since they first started calling me over a decade ago. I've asked them at least fifty times to take my name off their call list, but they keep calling. I wish I were exaggerating. I finally got some peace when my company got a phone system that blocks nuisance calls. That hasn't stopped them from trying. They started sending me spam emails a few years ago. I directed them to my junk folder, but then they started spamming other people at my company. "I just got an email from Corodata. Have you checked them out? They might be able to save us some money." That's happened to me three times so far. Another example: just before the pandemic, my boss was at a conference where Corodata had a booth. She knew that a company that had been rudely and relentlessly telemarketing me for years, but she didn't remember the company's name. The Corodata salesman at the conference stopped her, pitched her their service, and was able to convince her that they're a legitimate business. My boss got back to the office and proceeded to pitch me their service herself. I had to explain exactly how disrespectful, arrogant, and unprofessional these people were, and that I wouldn't work with them if they were the last company on Earth. Corodata just doesn't get it. They call me. I ask them to stop calling. The telemarketer then calls me an "idiot" (his words.) Someone else from Corodata calls a week later. I asked them to take me off their call list again. The telemarketer then calls me a "moron" (his words.) A few Corodata telemarketers did say that they would take my company off their call list, but (in one case) a different telemarketer from Corodata called later that day. No exaggeration, none necessary. One telemarketer -- I think the thirtieth call? -- screamed profanity at me when I asked him to stop calling. Corodata, please. Think about it. Why would I want to trust important documents to someone who thinks I'm an "idiot"? Why would I want to reward that kind of behavior? If they're that rude when they're trying to forge a business relationship with me, how would they behave if we actually had one? Since they think I'm a "moron" who doesn't know what he's doing, why would I think they'd ever follow any instructions I gave them? Say I did hire Corodata for document storage. What if I had a client who needed an important document, I called Corodata to retrieve it, and the customer service representative called me an "idiot" and refused to fill the order, just as they've refused to take me off their telemarketing list? What if I needed something urgently and the Corodata representative responded by screaming profanity at me? I have to provide good service for my own clients, and I can't take the risk! Why would I hire a company that thinks their clients are "morons" who don't deserve common courtesy? What if I ordered something retrieved from storage and the driver got stuck in traffic through no fault of their own? All I'd know is that I placed an urgent order that hadn't been filled when Corodata said it would be. I'd call Corodata headquarters and ask for a status update. What if, instead of answering my questions, the receptionist called me an "idiot"? I can guess what the receptionist would tell their boss. "That client I spoke to yesterday just called again. He wants to know the status of order 12345. He says they were expecting it last week." "Oh, he's a moron. Ignore him." I can only imagine what it's like at their call center. "Boss, this mark just asked us to take his company off their call list." "I don't care. Keep calling. Try again tomorrow." "He said he's asked us to stop calling over fifty times." "Well, try him again next week. When he says no, call him an idiot and a moron. If we keep harassing him and making his life hell, eventually we'll make a sale. Maybe we can convince his boss to ORDER him to hire us. Wouldn't that be grand? That would sure show him! Believe me, If we refuse to take no for an answer, someone at that company will eventually say yes." I won't ever work with Corodata. The last thing you want to do with someone who's harassing you is show them that bad behavor works. That will only encourage them to keep doing it. The only thing I've ever asked Corodata to do is to stop telemarketing my firm, and they refuse. In every interaction I've ever had with Corodata, they've gone out of their way to prove that they are discourteous, heartless, and dishonest. read more

I scheduled a pick up for files that were for car sales as far back as 2011. The team that came to pick up the stuff was great. They were done within 2 hours which was crazy because I had 200 boxes to be picked up. I'm just an employee of one of their clients but I would say 5 stars for the amazing Update 4/18/18 I had called to confirm a pick up with corodata again. The receptionist had said that she will have to call me back regarding when they can pick up my boxes. Here I am two days later and the guy picking up my boxes calls and says I'm here outside. I had no idea they were even coming. I would've stayed longer at work had I known they'd even come. The service is great but don't rely on a confirmation as to when they will come. read more

BEWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THEM. Spoke with someone named Peggy and she was completely sarcastic, rude and unhelpful. When it comes down to a time crunch you absolutely can not rely on Corodata. I have had customer service mishaps like this several times and overall just quite tired of it. The company should consider hiring people that don't hate their job because if more things like this happen I will be taking my business elsewhere. Make sure you have access to your records because at some point they make it completely unavailable. read more

Our law firm had 30 years of paperwork that needed destruction. Yup, 133 boxes. I picked Corodata because they had a great rate. I had the choice of dropping it off myself; having them come to me and shred on-site; or having them pick it up and shred it at their office. We went with #3 as it was the most time and cost effective. They were easy to schedule and the driver was on-time. The driver was the best part. He was organized and worked hard. Friendly. Professional. It was one of the hottest days (over 100 degrees) and he never complained. He got everything loaded up quickly and before you knew it, he was gone. Just like my headache.
