He texted when he was about 20 minutes away and showed up right on time. In no time, he had my paperwork dumped in his bins and they were shredded very quickly. Dishonest. Misleading…read more Went to get 8.5 boxes of documents shredded because of an office move. I had called and mentioned the $10/box price shown on yelp. The guy was vague but left me believing that was the price (carefully worded so that I didn't pick up on the misleading words). They have a guy in the parking lot waiving arriving customers to a shredding truck where they take your documents and start to shred them before you go to the office. They don't tell you the price until you get to the office - after they have your documents out of the boxes and in the shredder. Surprise! its a higher price! They hide behind the price lists on yelp (showing $10/box) and are vague if you call them and mention the yelp price - but they charge $15/box. Unfortunately, its too late to say "wait a minute" about the price because they already have your documents and hand you a bill for the higher price and point at the price sheet in the office. I was tempted to just walk away without paying, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

Called and was advised that the crew was 'out in the field' on a service call and to return in 15minutes. I returned but still no luck. Just as I was leaving someone came and opened up the shop. I told him that I have 9 banker's boxes to be shredded. He then told me immediately that it's almost closing time and he is not able to get to the shredding...!! Mind you he just came to the drop off location. He ended up taking the boxes I needed to be shredded but did not provide any detailed receipt of the transaction; I only received the credit card receipt. I will not be returning to Reliable Affordable Shredding and cannot recommend them as a shredding service.

Our organization has had a very positive experience with Corodata Shredding. As a small nonprofit,…read morereliable service and responsive support are extremely important to us. When we needed assistance with a payment issue, it was quickly handled in a short phone call. We worked with Cam Walker, who was incredibly helpful and kind. They addressed our issue promptly, provided clear directions with options that best fit our needs, and made the process smooth and stress-free. Overall, we are very happy with the services provided and appreciate the professionalism and support we've received. Even though we are a little far from their main offices, they take care of our requests quickly. Their pricing is extremely fair and we have been contracted with them for almost 3 years at this point.

We recently moved, and had boxes of mail to shred so we scheduled a pickup with Bay Shred. They…read moretold us: "We'll call you thirty minutes before we come over". Then a few days before, we got a worse-than-the-cable guy window of 10:30am - 4pm. We have already moved out of the old place, so this was important -- both my wife & I work, so we couldn't just hang out at an old place with no internet. Two hours passed, and I thought, "What's the most likely failure mode? Calling my wife's phone or forgetting to call?". So I called them and was told "Oh they'll be there in an hour." An hour passed. No call. So I called again, "They're on their way!". Finally it was 3pm, so I drove half an hour back to our old place, on the theory they would have to be there by 4pm... right? No calls on the way to our place, so I called them once I got there. "Let me see if we can find the driver!". Then came the admission that the driver had actually dropped by our place around 1pm, but had simply forgotten to call either of us [!]. I don't rightly know how you can forget this since it was part of the engagement and I called about it repeatedly throughout the day... Anyway, after another 30 minutes of waiting at the empty house in which dispatch told me she would work it out with the operations center. When she finally got back in touch with me, she told me that well, the business closes at 5pm, and well, would I be available the next Tuesday? This was Thursday. Anyway, she promised the driver would be disciplined. I don't really care about that -- maybe this one driver is a screwup, but if your business processes can end up with someone having a _five day_ delay, they don't seem very robust. In fact, they're so bad it made me skeptical of whether I would trust them with shredding personal documents. Anyway, I'd spent so much time at our old house it was rush hour so it took an hour getting home (normal travel time: 20 minutes). My wife & I cancelled the order and we're just carrying the boxes ourselves to another vendor. Maybe they dont make house calls that often? Their website makes it seem like they do, and if so, I just don't think anybody should give this company their business. Honestly, I feel like they owe *me* some money for wasting so much of my time.
