We were clearing files from our home office and had some confidential documents. They dropped off four locked bins with keys at our home and gave us 3 weeks to have them picked up. Reasonable pricing and fast. Other companies we called asked us to estimate how many file cabinets we had before giving us pricing. Shred works sends out bins and charges you for the ones you fill. I highly recommend Shred Works. They are very reasonable & very professional. I contacted them for a quote on a Monday and was connected with Tina. She quickly emailed me a quote and after I approved it we were put on the schedule for that week, A short time later she called to let us know we were set for Wednesday. Since I forgot to note the window of time on our calendar, I texted Tina on Tuesday afternoon to reconfirm the appointment & to ask her for this info. She responded a short time later that she was away from her desk but would follow up & get back to me as soon as she could, which she did. On Wednesday morning, I got another call from the Shred Works office to confirm our time and to let me know that I to would hear from the driver when he was 30 minutes away from our house. After the driver arrived, we were able to watch as our papers were being shredded (which took about 10 minutes) & received a paid receipt certifying that our materials had been shredded. They accepted all my paper boxes and electronic stuff. Prices vary at different locations so ask. Yet, this was a very affordable option. Will charge by the box or by the pound. I tried going to a UPS store to drop off my shredding, but they just left my package of papers on the side. I had to ask them to put it in the secure box while I was standing there. At Shred Works, they actually take all your paper and put it into a bing and lock it in front of you. I love this place and it's affordable too. read more

Shred Works is very close to where I live, so it was a simple task to take boxes of material to be shredded. This is my second trip to Shred Works - the people in the office have been friendly and helpful. You should be aware that the suite is on the 2nd floor; you can call ahead and have someone meet you to help take your boxes up. read more

Shred Works was both responsive and helpful as a small business I did my home work and looked around for different shredding companies in the Bay Area. I finally came across Shred Works in Oakland; I was given direction by a very pleasant person on the phone and was able to find it perfectly. While they are not in a great area the facility is very secure which included a camera monitoring systems and several locked gates. I had brought 7 Boxes to be shredded they assisted me with my material and we went inside where I was able to view the shredding process the whole thing took about 5 mins. I was charged $10 per box which seemed fair and inline with other companies. About a month later a friend of mine needed some shredding done at her work in Palo Alto I referred her to Shred Works and they came out to her location with in 24 hours and picked up her material. Convenient location for secure shredding, but you do have to haul it to a second floor- not meant for walk in consumers.

The staff there is very nice. The cost is $20 for the first two storage boxes and $10 per box after that. Their yelp deal brings the cost down. They have an office location in a business complex...not a store front location. If you have too many boxes to bring up to their office, they will bring the bin down to the parking lot and off load your papers. I'll use them again when I have things to shred. read more

ShredWorks' corporate office accepts documents for shredding. Their location in Burlingame is easy near 101. The office staff is all friendly. The Pay-$10/Get $20 Savings Coupon on Yelp is cool! A minor issue: I had a brand-new valid Savings Coupon I bought on ShredWorks Yelp page, but their computer didn't recognize the coupon code. Office staff did the right thing and accepted the coupon, so I'm happy! read more

I just found out about their E waste disposal, called them up and they picked up everything including huge batteries that nobody knew how to dispose of properly.
