Jado Recycling took over the exact same spot rePlanet use to be at. Their setup was the same except they required you to remove all caps from your bottles. I remember rePlanet didn't make you do that. I went in the afternoon and the line was long. There were 2 people working so everything moved along a little bit quicker than I expected. One person checked if you had the right containers that was eligible to get your money back and the other person weighed your containers and payed you on the spot. There wasn't a lot of talking but some loud Mexican music blasting from a speaker. Make sure you separate all your cans, plastics bottles, glass bottles and everything else. The trash bins that they had you put your containers in weren't the cleanest. Some people wore gloves but I made sure to have some hand sanitizer ready in my car when I was done.

I went on a Saturday around 1pm and there was minimal wait - I was in and out within 10-15 minutes. The workers were helpful in guiding this newbie, and they have a super efficient process. After you sort your recyclables into the trash cans (recommend pre-sorting as others mention), a worker inside will weigh your respective loads, calculate the payment, and hand you a slip of paper with the amount. You then collect your payment outside. I believe the rates are similar if not the same as the 2020 image someone posted. For reference, I received ~$18 for 3 trash bags of cans and 2 trash bags of plastic bottles (not crushed). Did I expect more? Maybe. But still enough for two 12-packs of Coke Zero and a trip to the Taco Bell value menu!

This is how it worked for us: you drive up onto the scale, they weigh your vehicle and ask what you're recycling, you pay and go to the area of what you're recycling. We backed up and tossed the clean concrete in the pile and then you just drive out. We've also purchased landscape rocks and for this you order the quantity you want at the main warehouse, they give you the receipt and then a worker puts the rock into your truck. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.

To make matters worse, I was instructed to unload and move my own pallet of batteries for recycling. After I had already done the work, I was suddenly told I couldn't continue because I was wearing Birkenstocks. If that was actually a safety policy, one of the employees could have easily told me before I started unloading instead of waiting until I was finished. When I was told I had to wait in my car, I simply walked over to my vehicle, and the owner continued insulting me by calling me a "dick" as I left. Customer service and basic professionalism were completely absent. There are plenty of other recycling businesses that treat their customers with respect. Ok! Monday it was!…read more Got here during their lunch. When they open, you just go inside, grab a cart with available bins & sort out your recycle. The bins are very dirty so I suggest using gloves & bringing hand sanitizer. Plastic bottles: They advice removing the caps from the bottles. You just take them off & keep them in the bin with the bottles. No biggie. Glass bottles: They don't usually accept them. Since it was my first time, I didn't know this. Instead they put glass in the bigger containers, raised & moved around forklifts. The workers are quite friendly & helpful. The man helped me & explained everything. You will need a valid ID in order to get a receipt. There is a little window labeled "CASHIER." When you get the receipt, the window is blocked off with blinds. Someone is behind but you never see their face. They pointed at the signature part of the receipt with a gloved finger. Moments later, they just hand you the money... and that's it! The homeless people are quite harmless. They didn't bother or harass me. So it's all right. I actually enjoyed my experience. :) Fair warning!!!! They are moving glass bottles with a forklift, lifting heavy bins full of glass bottles that shatter loudly! So bring earplugs at your discretion.
