Ok! Monday it was! Got here during their lunch. When they open, you just go inside, grab a cart with available bins & sort out your recycle. The bins are very dirty so I suggest using gloves & bringing hand sanitizer. Plastic bottles: They advice removing the caps from the bottles. You just take them off & keep them in the bin with the bottles. No biggie. Glass bottles: They don't usually accept them. Since it was my first time, I didn't know this. Instead they put glass in the bigger containers, raised & moved around forklifts. The workers are quite friendly & helpful. The man helped me & explained everything. You will need a valid ID in order to get a receipt. There is a little window labeled "CASHIER." When you get the receipt, the window is blocked off with blinds. Someone is behind but you never see their face. They pointed at the signature part of the receipt with a gloved finger. Moments later, they just hand you the money... and that's it! The homeless people are quite harmless. They didn't bother or harass me. So it's all right. I actually enjoyed my experience. :) Fair warning!!!! They are moving glass bottles with a forklift, lifting heavy bins full of glass bottles that shatter loudly! So bring earplugs at your discretion. read more

This place has been super hard to contact. Since COVID I understand they have been closed but as things slowly re-open I can't seem to get a hold of anyone to see if they're accepting recycling from the public. I've tried to call and email from their website and have gotten no response from them. Prior to COVID this place was great. Friendly workers and easy to drop of recycling. read more

Address no longer opened. Relocated to 800 77th Ave, Oakland. Yelp says I need to write longer. The recycling here is painless. Just bring your cans, bottles and get paid by the pound. None of that count the cans nonsense. Friendly staff and they pay you in cash on the spot. read more

They are a CA certified recycling center, fast and friendly service. I didn't know about them until they moved over to they're new location on 800 77th Ave. it's a decent clean environment. Can't blame them for "they're neighbors" right across from them. read more

My grandma(don't know English) brought 2 big bag of bottles here to sell, unluckily but she got scammed. She called my mother over then my mother called me. I arrive went in to talk to him, but the Mexican denied that he scammed her. This incident happened before, but luckily she got the money back. This time they scamming hard. 2 big bag was count as 1 1/4 bag. The persons who was working at the weight station told us to go to the office and look for upper management (He know that upper management left early) when we got to the office there were only two cashier working. She told us that upper management left. I guess they was trying to take that 3/4 of the bag so they can sell it and get the money for them self. read more

I had been going here off and on for years at their original location off 5th street and only stopped when 20/20 and then replanet came around because they were closer. Now that replanet is no more, i looked them up again and found them at their new and larger location. Same set up, just a little different. The homeless encampment may scare off some, but they're harmless. The folks working there were very helpful and answered any questions i had with zero attitude. I was told that leaving the caps on the plastic bottles was fine for this visit but to please make sure to remove them from now on but make sure to keep the caps included for recycling. This will be our permanent recycling center from now on. I did get a chuckle out of the cashier window though. As the window happens to face the morning sun...they have window blinds blocking the window. You sign the receipt and put it in the slot below the window...you see it disappear...and then cash appears...no words exchanged. Its like a recycle fairy box hahaha!! read more

I love this place. Not quite like the recycling joint I am used to but they pay fair, and are pretty clean. On the other hand the staff was pleasant and kind of helpful but a lot of language barriers. It was confusing where to take what recyclables (glass vs plastic) but otherwise a positive experience. Have told everyone I know and will continue to spread the word about this place. WARNING! They don't really want you separating your items on property so come prepared. Also, parking can be horrible. Depending on when you arrive. Plastic and aluminum are recycled on the backside and glass is recycled on the side where the cashier is located. Happy recycling. read more

This was my first time at this recycling center. Make sure that your bottles cans and plastics are separated before you get here. I was helped by a couple of people to help me separate my recycling. As I was getting closer to the weigh station the line was growing. I guess this is a popular place to recycle. I definitely will come back. read more

I have never written a review before, but this one has to be done. I had called them before coming down and told the woman on the phone that I had a lot of cans and plastic bottle bottles in bags. She told me just pull up in front of the place and one of the guys in a green vest would come out and help. This did not happen. When I arrived the employees in the green vests did not come or assist in any way. When I came inside with all of the bags full of cans and plastic, I was told to go outside on the sidewalk and sort it out. Not only were the workers not helpful in any way. They were also were extremely rude. Customer service is zero. Don't bother going here expecting half decent customer service. It is not here. The price that received for all of the cans, plastic and glass was very low. read more

READ! i love this place. my husband and i turn in all our cans/bottles here even though we live about 30 minutes away. we do it twice a year, once before we throw our annual family get together and once before Christmas for extra cash. every time we've been here we were treated with respect and had a genuinely good experience. that was until a couple weeks ago. my goodness did i encounter the most ugly-spirited woman behind the cashier counter that i have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with! my husband was working late that day so i decided to take it upon myself to take our can/bottles down here since we were running out of days before our baby shower and the backyard needed some more cleaning up. i pulled up and walked in, immediately i was greeted by a male worker with the biggest smile and pleasant demeanor. im almost 8 months pregnant and asked if he could help me, he jokingly said "help for you? no way!" lol, he was so great and personable. he told me to pull up in a different spot around the side and him and another co-worker of his worked quickly pulled all the big bags out of my suv while i untied the garbage bags for them. they had everything done super fast, less than 5mins in, weighed and gave me a receipt for what i brought. they put my name in their system since i'm never the one who actually goes in - that's what husbands are for :). one employee told me to hold on to the receipt since i had to walk around to the other side to turn in the plastic bottles i brought as well (2 separate areas on the same property.) he told me when i was done to turn the receipts into the cashier. the original guy who helped me asked if he could carry the bags for me and i said no thanks bc they were pretty light but i totally appreciated the gesture. i asked if i should move my car seeing as though i only pulled up to unload the heavy stuff and i was blocking their driveway. he said no problem he'd wait til i was done bc he didn't need me to move at that time,bi thought that was really thoughtful and accommodating. i walked around the other side where i met yet another super nice worker who was alone but very efficient and fast! it's apparent all these guys work really hard but with a smile on their face. i felt totally at ease with my entire experience at this point. i walked back to where the cashier from hell was behind a wall. i walked up smiling and chipper. i said "HI HOW ARE YOU? with a huge smile." she just looks at me with a blank stare. im thinking "well aren't you a ray of sunshine." but i didn't say that. i slipped my receipts under the window they same way you would to a bank teller and said "just wanna cash these in please" again with a big welcoming smile as to say "i come in peace lady with a poor attitude" lol. she says something from behind the window i couldn't hear bc that place is super loud. i kindly say "sorry whats that i couldn't hear yah?" this devil lady SLAMS her hand on the receipts and says in the most God awful rude ass attitude "SIGN YO RECEIPTS!" LOL first of all, its "your" not "yo" and second of all, calm down your bitchness bc it's not necessary ESPECIALLY when the person is being super nice to you. i said "WELL." picked up the pen and signed the receipts. mind you if its that big of a deal for you to speak with out being disrespectful put up a sign indicating what exactly to do instead of chastising the customer who doesnt know any better. i smiled again as to not let her negativity overshadow my positivity. i asked "how's your day goin?" she said rudely (surprise, surprise) "OH IM GREAT! HOW YOU DOIN?" in a sarcastic bitchy way, i replied "ahh yah know, running around pregnant in this heat trying to handle errands. haha." devil lady says nothing. go figure. this woman if i can even call her that, had the biggest STICK UP HER ASS. it's not my fault whatever made her act so terrible. it all boils down to im ...... and she's ....... i'll let you guys fill in those blanks yourselves. where's a manager when i need one!? this lady needs a bible and a prayer with that bad attitude. i'll be back bc at the end of the day saving your recycling generates some free money back and im not mad at free money! 10 stars for all the other workers i had the pleasure of meeting that day and 10 prayers to the heavy set lady with her weave pulled up to the sky. i wish her happiness. no stars taken away bc of her - in the words of the legendary and extremely talented Big Maybelle - one monkey don't stop no show. much love to this place no matter what. read more
