i'm in the process of clearing out a very full storage unit so i'm doing multiple junk hauls as i…read moresort to free up space. my sister got a quote from another local company while i contacted swat junk removal. i sent photos through yelp and got a quote within 5 minutes. the other company came in at 2x the quote from sjr so it was a no-brainer for who to choose. alberto offered a same day appointment but i opted for the next day. leading up to the appointment time, he texted to let me know he was running late. no problem for me and i appreciated the communication. he worked quickly and efficiently alone until a second person joined to help with a couple very heavy items. i ended up paying an additional $50 on top of the original quote since some items were quite heavy and dumps are charged by weight. it still felt like a fair price to me so i didn't mind this time. the company accepts check, card, or zelle and a receipt was texted to me after i paid with card. i'd definitely contact sjr again for more hauling needs!

On Sunday, I received a call around 12:30pm from their driver who told me he couldn't get here until 3/3:30pm. I said that wouldn't work, and asked to reschedule. The driver said he would call me back in half an hour because he might still make it. At 1:51pm I received a text saying they needed to reschedule and offered me a discount. I asked when they could reschedule. They told me anytime I wanted on Monday. So I rescheduled for 12pm on Monday. At 12pm, no one called or showed up. So I messaged them on Yelp and by text. The response I received on Yelp was to call them. When I called, the rep put me on hold for 7 minutes to look up my appointment only to come back and tell me that they wouldn't be able to show up until maybe 2pm. They've wasted nearly 3 hours of our time on a weekend and wanted us to wait another 2 hours without any assurance that they will actually show up. To add to the frustration, when I told the rep to cancel the quote appointment, she had tithe audacity to tell me to wait on the phone while she entered the cancellation. Just cancel the appointment, and don't make a frustrated customer wait for you to do it! I hate having to write bad reviews but they wasted 3 hours of my time with terrible service and zero results accomplished! We will never consider their services again.
