I needed to do some long overdue spring cleaning to clean up the pad a bit before a New Year's Eve party. It was time for a 80s sleeper couch, two rusted out swimming lounge chairs, an old TV entertainment center for CRTs, a pair of shower doors and some other miscellaneous junk to find their way to their next life (and out of mine!) I looked on Yelp and found my first choice on holiday vacation. Scrap and Haul was the second on the list and I'm happy with his services. JT picked up the phone immediately and explained that he wouldn't be able to do same day service; as he was down in South Bay for the day. However we sent an appointment for him to come in the next morning. Despite being on a job he was able to take down my details perfectly. He came in his two hour window the next morning. He had given me a quote over the phone the day before based on my verbal description of the items but upon arriving and being shown the items and he exclaimed, "Well I think I quoted you too much." That was great to hear! In 15 minutes, my junk found its way out of our house - JT and his employee were super nice. Highly recommend his services. I am sooo glad I asked them to clean up my garage. It was filled with household junk, JT took everything and swept clean. When they started to load, the volume of junk was more then his estimate, but he only charged what he estimated. Which was very reasonable for their hard work. JT is the man and his crew is top-notch! I loved being able to book the appointment online and I was quickly contacted back to cover the details. I had a bunch of 26" x 26" x 4" cement patio blocks that I needed to have removed. This was no easy task as my backyard is on a slope. The price was very fair. We all actually underestimated how much work it would be. Despite that, JT never tried to raise the price like a lot of places do. I willingly gave him a little extra because it was such a PITA job. I had a serious problem with my motorcycle this morning on my way to work. The only person who asked if I needed help was JT. He was kind enough to give me a ride to a local auto parts store, help me find the necessary parts, and bring me back to fix my motorcycle. He could have just driven by, but he didn't. My treadmill finally gave way on me and i was searching around on yelp for a place to pick it up on a Sunday! A few places said that they were open, but didn't answer their phone. However, when i called Scrap & Haul i was greeted by a friendly voice. JT was very professional on the phone and when i told him it was my treadmill that i needed to be taken away, he was able to give me a quote over the phone. He told me that they would be at my place between 4-6 and that i would get a phone call when they were 20-30 minutes away. As promised, i got a phone call when he was on his way and he showed up on time if not earlier. JT showed up at my door with another guy who was also friendly. Everything they did was fast and efficient. They even chatted outside with my husband for a bit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get unwanted junk out of your house.
