The first one was just okay, but they tacked on additional "discoveries" and ended up costing about twice their original quote (claiming things like, "Beds cannot be donated, so that's $100 extra"). I highly recommend this approach. We had a bunch of boxes, miscellaneous junk, and two pieces of exercise equipment. 1. Booking the job was easy - came the next day on a Sunday. 2. When they arrived at our home - they looked at the items and said $340, but then I removed 2 arm chairs so it went down to $310, which felt reasonable and he worked with that discount. Most items were in one area already outside so little walking for them. However, the two men onsite were grumpy and rude and when I told them which items were junk and which items could be donated - they mixed the two and said they most likely won't be donating even though Edgardo told me they find people who truly need the items. 3. On the same day, I asked to go to a different house right afterwards to get a few of my grandparent's donated items. Got a call back from Edgardo, they sent a crew out the next day (a Saturday) to assess the work, gave me a quote. I thought the quote might have been a bit high, but seeing they had some labor to haul stuff all the way from the backyard and through a narrow walkway, I said go for it. On top of that, they had to pull in a full size hauling truck through a narrow street with lazily parked cars in the way. I think anyone else would have given up at this point... What took them less than an hour, would have taken me 3-4 days, truck rental, hauling to transfer station, and lots of sore muscles. They are super fast and super strong. Nery is built like a tank! Super responsive, he reached out multiple times to confirm the appointment, as well when he left, so I didn't need to sit around for a huge window of time. When he came out the next morning (that turn around time!) He was very friendly and kind, he took a tour through the house as I pointed out what I needed removed and he gave me a very fair quote. There were beds, couches, sofa beds, desks, the longest couch in existence, and literally piles of trash bags. He didn't blink twice and even though I had doubts he could fit it all in his truck and trailer, in almost less then 30 min he and his associate had managed to puzzle fit all the furniture in. One thing I loved was that he was super considerate about not accidentally causing any damage to the house. Very happy with these guys. I had a large hot tub to remove from my backyard. Because of the limited access on the sides of my house it had to be cut up, which can be pretty messy. I was going to give them 4 stars because they were way off the 12-2 window they gave me. They showed up at about 4pm as the dump site had a long line from another job. As I met Edgardo and showed him the task at hand, he told me flat out the job was bigger than he expected which I anticipated. We had stuff all over a 3700 sq ft place but desperation calls for desperate measures, and I agreed to his reasonable terms. These guys work diligently and really non-stop.
