Bay Junk is the best!! They cleaned out the furniture in my late mother's apartment quickly and efficiently. Their price was very reasonable and you could not find 2 nicer guys. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

These guys were fabulous. I had some very run-of-the mill junk removal while I was moving out of my house, and they took care of it with efficiency, punctuality, and class. When you call them, you get to talk to an actual human who is capable, flexible, and follows thru. They aren't the cheapest junk removers out there, but they are also far from the most expensive, and the value is absolutely worth it. read more

Well, we had a "situation" which required the immediate removal of a large bouganvillea bush from our home. These guys came out and handled this business and even helped me sweep up the extra brush. This is my second time calling them and they are now saved as a contact in my phone. They are good, reliable and nice - couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend! read more

Checked in with this company yesterday in order to clean up my garage. They responded with a mutually agreeable time frame and said they would call prior to then pick up. They called as promised and arrived with an outstanding attitude and promptly and efficiently took out the items. I absolutely recommend them. read more

I gotta give it them... they were punctual and showed up right on time. However, I can't help to feel that I got hustled. Once they showed up the 'estimate' was of course at the very top of the range even though I didn't have that much stuff (they did knock off $25 after I pointed out that there isn't that much to pick up and I can help them load it). I also took away all of the paper and recycled it myself since these Bay Junk doesn't recycle. Then the two guys that were there kept complaining that my garbage was heavy... give me a break... I was easily carrying everything even though I have a bad back. Oh yeah... and the truck they showed up in must have been somebody else's junk they picked up... it was beat up with bunch of dents and leaked oil on my driveway. read more

I had a great experience working with this company. I called the company and they scheduled pickup for the next morning. They gave me an estimate for picking up a TV and large couch that could not be moved down the elevator. In the morning they called me 30 mins before they arrived and they quickly moved the stuff out. I thought the pricing was reasonable compared to having to pay for truck rental and dumping fees and compared to other competitors. read more

Awesome service! The guys worked hard to remove all things I wanted out of our yard and home. They even took apart our old shed and cleaned up the whole area. They were fast, efficient, and friendly guys. I'm super happy with their performance today. Thank you Bay Junk, I will be sure to use you guys again in the future. read more

Downsizing from a house to something smaller is a complete nightmare. I was recommended The Junk Project and spoke with Kyle, who was super responsive and a pleasure to work with, answering all my questions. Bill and his assistant arrived (sorry I forgot his name!) early and worked tirelessly to help us with our junk. They are good about finding good homes for items too big to bring to donation or if the consignment center won't take them. I am really impressed with the service that Bill and his assistant provided - they were pleasant and worked fast to make the garage look clean and super organized. Highly recommend The Junk Project for anyone who needs help with their junk! read more

Super easy and fast. I was able to get an appointment next day, schedule another appointment in advance, and modify that appointment for removal that same day. Edgardo was friendly, flexible, and on time. Would use them again and one of the easier parts of a stressful move. read more

This is a fabulous service. Pat and Ethan were very professional: called about 15 minutes before they arrived (within the scheduled window), looked over all of the stuff that I was getting rid of and gave me an estimate that I thought was very fair. They quickly loaded the truck and packed it so that my stuff took up the least amount of space. Start to end was 25 minutes. And it feels good to know that they'll donate (or try to) the couple of items that were still working well. I highly recommend this company. read more

We just bought a fixer upper and the previous owner left behind trash in the house, basement, back years, and multi car garage. It took 8 family members 3 days to pull everything out onto the curb. Kyle went above and beyond with his customer service by negotiating between us, the real estate agent, and the previous owner. He was able to receive payment from the reluctant previous owner for the four truck loads! They were quick, reliable, and swept up afterwards. We are thankful that the trash did not offset our new home budget and more than satisfied with The Junk Project and their mission. read more

I worked with the team from San Mateo, but since this is the same company, I wanted to share my opinions: Nothing but good things to say about my experience with this company and their staff. This is a family run company that really takes care of their customers. My parents have lived in their Hillsborough home for 40 years and have amassed a lot of unnecessary clutter and junk. It has gotten to the point that they can no longer take care of the mess. I came home to visit and made a quick decision to start the clean-up process but was unable to do this on my own. Searched yelp and found Bay Junk. Based on the excellent reviews I gave them a call. I was just in for the weekend so they were able to accommodate my needs and get me a next day appointment on a Sunday! The crew arrived arrived on time within the scheduled 1.5 hour window. We took a quick walkthrough and I was presented a very reasonable quote. Edgardo (Area Manager) was very professional and easy to work with. His crew was awesome and got straight to business. The job ended up being bigger than either of us had planned. We starting filling up one truck to the brim, and before I knew it, Edgardo had already brought a second truck to fill up. The most impressive thing was that I had an old shed in the yard that was rusted and collecting dust. They were able to demolish it and haul it away as well. The job took just over an hour and they stayed true to the initial quote. As if this weren't enough, they then went above and beyond and swept up my garage of the accumulated dust (and unfortunately some old rodent droppings) from the garage and swept the driveway of any debris that had fallen. I was planning (and dreading) the cleanup part myself, so this was icing on the cake. Highly recommend this company for your junk hauling needs. Easy to work with, efficient and excellent service. My elderly parents and myself are very thankful for their work. read more

Wow !! Young boys crew came to my house, was wondering that sure could they remove my accumulation ?? They were wonderful crew and within 1 hour finished. I am very impressed. Quick, accept credit card payment , electronically send a receipt . No more old fashion hauler . read more

I can't recommend Bay Junk enough! Edgardo and his team showed up right on time, were friendly and hardworking, reasonably priced, and I have a front yard again! I will definitely be calling Bay Junk again for any future hauling needs. Thank you, Bay Junk! read more

Edgardo and his team were very professional, polite, and reliable. They moved my mattress, the box that comes with it, a desk, a night stand, and a bunch of kitchen ware in a mere 25 mins. Their operation was very efficient, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone who's looking to remove large unwanted items. read more

What a great find they are. The Junk Project, A while back a friend of mine was in town and I asked him to help me take a few loads of junk to the dump. he looked around my yard, the garage, underneath the house. On our way to dinner later that evening he pointed to this truck and said "that's what you need". It was a Junk Project truck. We checked their website to see what they're all about. I called on the phone to schedule an appointment with Kyle. I was easily able to fit them into my busy hectic summer schedule. My dad had been living here for over 40 years. They arrived on time they were very professional they worked incredibly hard and thorough. They were able to take away over 6 truckloads at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them. read more

I needed to get rid of an old 36" Sony CRT TV that is at least 230 lb. Kyle of Junk-Project was quick to set me up a next day pick up with a reasonable price. And 5% of their proceed in Dec is given to Boy scout troop 874 which is great. On day of pick up, They were running late like 30 min but they called me ahead of time which was fine for me. The two gentlemen who came to pick up the TV were polite. And they were careful during the moving process so as to avoid damaging the surrounding for the TV was really heavy. My wife and I are very pleased with their professionalism. I highly recommend them. read more

Both Chad and Ty were outstanding from a service standpoint and really went over and above what was expected. They were very prompt, courteous and professional and communicated with me regularly about my appointment time etc. Ty offered to sweep around the area in the yard/shed due to all of the dirt, leaves and debris left under the junk we had stored there to be hauled away. I was very grateful to Ty for taking on those black widows so I wouldn't have to! He even moved a bunch of heavy ceramic pots for me :) Thank you Ty! This is my new 'go to' business as things accumulate in my yard and garage over the year. From the appointment scheduling to the service provided, I highly recommend the Junk Project. read more

My wife and I one morning on 4th of July weekend spontaneously decided to help clear some old stuff out of her mom's place that had been there for YEARS. Her mom used to run a salon, and had some pretty heavy duty equipment that had been collecting dust for some time, including FOUR full sized tanning beds, TWO pedicure chairs, and a host of other miscellaneous household furniture and knick-knacks. My wife called at least a dozen different junk haulers/removers that morning with no luck until we got a hold of Kyle and his team at The Junk Project. His crew was finishing up another job elsewhere in the Bay but said they could come by in the early afternoon. Kyle himself and his team member Jordan showed up right on time and immediately surveyed the scene. They quickly realized that given the volume of junk we needed removed, they'd have to do two runs (they would have brought two trucks had we fully recognized just how much stuff we had, totally not their fault). They quickly put together a plan with us where they first loaded up all the goods to be taken to the dump, after which they returned to pick up the incredibly unwieldy tanning beds and pedicure chairs to be recycled/repurposed. Kyle and Jordan arrived at 2:30, and were done a bit before 6, including the hour round trip they took to drive our first load to/from the dump. They were very professional the entire time, and Kyle made sure to ask us which items were priorities for us to have removed. We were worried initially that they wouldn't be able to fit everything onto their truck, but Kyle at one point even said he and Jordan "vowed to be someone's hero today" and would get rid of whatever we wanted, even if it meant a little extra elbow grease and sweat on their part. Jordan even offered to sweep up the back patio when they were done. My mother-in-law was blown away when she saw her backyard and how clean and free it was of old clutter. A few friends stopped by later that evening and said her backyard was almost unrecognizable, that's how clean it was! In an industry where it's probably hard to differentiate, we really appreciated The Junk Project's focus on recycling and reusing items where possible, as well as their professionalism and focus on the customer. Hopefully some of our items can find a new home! We will certainly be using Kyle and team again for clean-up efforts down the road. read more

The junk project is awesome I could not of been happier with Josh and Nolan they were so professional so helpful and If I could I would give them 10 stars !!!! Very nice people & responded quickly the first time I reached out to them. Unfortunately, just found out they are closing the business

Great company to work with on hauling away the extra mattresses we had at our new place. I got a quick quote response via Yelp and they were able to schedule a pick up real quick. Chad and Josh were both very professional, nice guys, and picked up/loaded my mattresses right away. Definitely recommend! read more

Outstanding service! Chad and Tyrell are polite, professional, punctual and pleasant! They arrived on time, worked efficiently, were very helpful (Chad even gave me some pointers as to how to fix my sticking front door!), got the job done quickly and cleanly. They called an hour or so before they arrived, I received an email reminder several days before the job was scheduled. Just a class act all the way around! I will recommend them and highly if anyone I know needs hauling done. Just a quick head's up-they are paid in cash or card, no checks. More than reasonable, seems to me, for the kind of work they do. Their price was competitive and fair. Great business! read more

Great local company operated by family where the owner comes on the job. Prompt same-day service. Arrived in professional uniforms and removed my items without damaging anything in my house. Not cheap (not overpriced either) but worth it for the level of service and professionalism. This is not a fly-by-night company, but one that you would trust welcoming into your home and family or business. 5-stars! read more

Superb Service! Junk-project gave me quite a competitive quote and the service was just way too satisfactory. The two working guys that came today are professional and friendly (plus handsome... ). I can't tell you how impressed I am with this company, top to bottom. My mom passed away on Thanksgiving and I needed to clean out her house while I was in town (live in Phoenix). They sorted everything by whether it's trash or donation worthy. They were clean, courteous, respectful of what just happened, and downright awesome. I felt so overwhelmed when she passed, knowing that I had to clear her house of everything, but these guys eased all fears I had. To top it off, they were way less than their competitors. I don't do a lot of reviews, but when I do, you know it's serious. read more

Five-star service -- I'm so glad I called Junk Project! The crew made getting rid of some old furniture and junk around the house extremely easy and fast. They quickly set up an appointment time that worked around my tricky working-mom schedule. The crew was courteous, on-time, professional, careful around the house....what more could you ask for? They loaded a room-full of old furniture into the truck in less than 20 minutes. Thank you, Junk Project! read more

I cannot believe it! My garage is completely clean and move-out ready now that Nery Mazate and his crew came today. I could not have asked for better service or nicer people. My garage was littered in leaves, older dryer sheets, boxes of clothes, old textbooks, and other trash that four college students have accumulated over the course of 2 years. The job was completed in about 30 minutes. Money so well spent. I will recommend Bay Junk to absolutely anyone who needs help decluttering, moving out, or just reorganizing. read more

We've used The Junk Project in San Ramon twice now to remove rubbish as we prepare to move house. Josh and his crew are personable, professional and very efficient. Getting a queen sized sofabed down a flight of stairs is no easy feet and I was impressed that they did a better job than the moving firm who delivered it in the first place! Fair prices and no hassle. We'd definitely use them again read more

OK. If you are on Yelp for any length of time, you know there are fake reviews. This is not one of them. I know no one at this company and none of my relatives work for this company either. I've only used the The Junk Project once at this point. I had a residential pickup scheduled in the afternoon during a clear, sunny and hot day. To start, the office staff who answered the phone to get a hauling quote was extremely professional, easy to understand, and energetic on the phone. I was sold right there. I didn't need to call anyone else. Obviously the office staff was going the extra mile. Good job. They continued to communicate with me when pickup time had to be delayed. Good job. My pickup was scheduled in the afternoon on a hot summer day with no cloud cover. Alan and his son from The Junk Project arrived at my residence. They were both professional, happy and (yes) energetic too. Later I understood they had been stuck in traffic from another Oakland job, and it was a very hot day. Alan and his son remained positive while working fast and when the job was larger than expected. When their truck was full, they called the office and got a backup trunk fast. This is an awesome service. The field guys and office staff all go the extra mile for a customer. This company is very customer-service oriented which I can't remember the last time I experience it from another company. To the management staff: Wow. What a service. The positive and energetic attitude by both the office staff and field representatives really, really impressed me. It is a great touch and differentiates your service from your competition. Please keep encouraging your team to keep the vibe going. I've used other hauling services before but choose The Junk Project because while the other services were OK, they didn't earn any loyalty from me for my next job. The Junk Project definitely has earned my loyalty on my next need. Your company has an awesome work culture there. Great job. One more thing to management staff: I was surprised your field reps didn't have cold water in the hauling truck on a hot day like today. They didn't say anything to me, but I had been working all day in the sun too and became heat exhausted myself. If it is not a standard practice, I think a case of cold water/ice in your hauling trunks during the summer months is needed for your team to stay hydrated and for safety measure in case of a heat-related injury. Regardless, Alan and his son worked very fast and were positive the entire time on such a hot day. I will use your service again myself. I will recommend your service to my friends. This is totally a 5-star experience. It IS the small touches that make the biggest impact. Yes, I know this review looks funny to anyone who hasn't used The Junk Project because it appears that I'm laying it on thick; however, this was my experience. Please keep the great job going! Don't make me look like a lair. read more

After doing some pricing and comparison hired this company to remove a garage's worth of miscellaneous items (including a mattress and large bookcase). Communication was excellent from the start and the "junk haulers", Alan and Ty, were awesome! The were on time and I couldn't believe how quickly they were able to move and load even heavy items! Best of all they were super friendly and I felt comfortable with them being at my home. Price was reasonable. Won't hesitate to use again. Thank you! read more
