This is definitely the best Indian food I've had, period. The samosas were to die for. Everything on the Buffett was delicious, especially the goat. Couldn't believe how good it was. You can imagine my excitement when I came to this place for dinner and there was an all you can eat buffet with mango lassi! I began to devour the pakora, paneer masala and tandoori chicken. We took a chance on going here, as my English husband fancied some Indian food. In the UK, great Indian restaurants are everywhere, while they are less common in Arizona. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu has standard Indian classics, such as biryani and curries of all types, as well as naan and other breads, and is quite tasty. We ordered bhajis as a starter, then he had vindaloo and I had chicken biryani. The mint and cucumber sauces were yummy, as were our main dishes. The restaurant also has a buffet if you want to try a variety of dishes, which we plan to do for lunch one day. Portion sizes are quite good, we had leftovers to take home. The restaurant is a decent local spot for an evening dinner. We were there on a Friday night, while it was not super busy, it had a good flow of customers and people ordering takeout. It's still new and I do hope people continue to patronize India's Flame and keep it open. One thing to keep in mind is that their heat scale is 1 - 10. That would be Scottsdale 1 - 10, as a medium was actually quite mild and a 6 was less spicy than my husband expected. Not a problem, you can just tell your server you like spicy and they will adjust the heat to your liking. I also appreciate that they actually have a dinner buffet , because that's often hard to find (it's usually just lunch buffets). There's also about 4-6 meat and 4-6 vegetarian options each time which is impressive! I have liked items from both meat and vegetarian options each time! Few points about this place: 1) There is NO "All You Can Eat" Naan at this restaurant. I have a friend who has a health issue that does not do well with eating rice. We opted to eat just bread (the Nann) just to be told that YOU'RE LIMITED TO 1 NAAN PER PERSON. (Unbelievable) Any other buffet we have been to (which are quite father away) there is all you can eat on all of the buffet items, including the Bread. Not a fun experience. Food was average, but also noticed some cheap looking items on the menu, like Fried Bread pieces?? , Zuchinni dishes??.. those are all very inexpensive to make and does not taste very authentic. The Yogurt curry was VERY SOUR and the Chicken in the Tikka Masala curry was very DRY. Naan bread (when we did receive it) was very thin and dry smothered in dripping butter which we don't like. (Other places, the Nann is thicker and more moist, with body). There was an orange Mango drink dispenser that was Empty, and desert items were almost gone. None were replenished. The waiter decided to bring us the bill Before we were even Finished!! (not the best feeling when you're still trying to enjoy the meal - felt like we were being rushed to finish and get out). Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant anymore and will definitely pass along our experience to others. ************************************** Advice to this restaurant: You really need to think about keeping your customer's happy if you want them to return. I was looking for an Indian restaurant near me and found this place. Very fancy ambiance and we were seated right away. We were given the choice to order from the menu of the buffet. We opted for the buffet, pretty reasonably priced. When it came to the food, I wan't so impressed. It lacked that wow factor on my palate. There was a lot of chicken on the buffet, there was a goat masala among some vegetable dishes. It was either too salty or just plain bland. The chai tea tasted like watery cinnamon powder.
