Turkey club... subtle cheese bread
Heather P.

One of the restaurant options located within the Mission Palms Hotel. I'm pretty sure this is where the room service comes from too. I had room service twice during my stay and had no complaints there. After finally finding a spot that didn't have bird dropping remnants, I dined in the outside corridor area. I only dined at the actual restaurant once for lunch, for the lunch buffet. The offerings on the buffet were a bit different than what I find on other buffets in my part of the country, but that's common to find while traveling practically across the country. I enjoyed the salad and the wrap station... with options that consisted of deli meat, cheeses, and a few extras. Service was awesome, which can sometimes be rare when you choose a buffet option. I never had to wonder where my next refill would come from.

Good choice of sandwiches, pricey and only in season time. Meaning little service in summer.

And so found myself leaving the rig in the receivers yard, and I came out here to what many say is the best Buffett in Phoenix. So I'm going to agree on that statement. For 20.00 on a weekdays, you can have quality at almost every food hot bar in this joint. Their Cajun Shrimp and Corn are spot on. Not Boiling Crab level but far better than many Buffett places across the country. The Beef ribs is straight up Chinese influenced, sweet, sauce drenched in five spices, cinnamon, bay leaves, rock sugar and cloves--- a first in a Buffett setting 滷lu牛niu肉rou braised beef. And for a plate of on the spot hibachi pasta.......this is by far the best hibachi spaghetti Mongolian beef plate I've had in ages. I've almost completely forgotten Buffetts actually taste good and with the value here in Phoenix, you just can't find a spot like this in LA anymore. Not even sure Vegas has any of these Chinese Seafood Surviving Buffetts either. Definitely on my recommend list for price to quality to value for a super Buffett! GF always gets the sushi and is happy with it. Lots of sauces including chili paste, ponzu, chili garlic, soy sauce, etc. Hosts and servers are always friendly enough. The vibes aren't necessarily stellar unless you're seated in the booths around the edge of the man part of the restaurant, but it's a huge, low priced buffet with lots of options and a ton of seating. We sometimes travel 40 minutes to eat here. It's good.

When you walk in, the buffet is right there behind the front desk. Yes, it was mostly a chinese buffet but there's one item on the array of foods that I liked a lot. It was a bit too spicy for me and it was Cajun sauce with potatoes and I poured the sauce in a container and made my way and grabbed some snow crab legs and crawfish and made my own seafood boil lol Pros: They stack the crab legs and crawfish Although the Crawfish didn't have any flavor (I would suggest dumping it in the cajun sauce with potatoes) Cons: It was an hr drive to PHX and the traffic.. The parking situation: It was packed. Some people stood and secured their space.. which I think is unfair but do what you must. Just luckily we found parking in front of the entrance. Best to back up park, so you can easily get out of the complex

(Looking on-line, Lin's Grand Buffet appears have multiple restaurants in the Phoenix area; we visited the location on E Baseline Rd). This is a gigantic buffet, both in terms of the quantity and variety of food. In addition to rows and rows of entrees, noodles/rice, soups, salads, desserts, etc., there's also a Mongolian BBQ station and a counter with sushi. There was even a tray with enchiladas! My husband and I agreed that Lin's had some of the best tasting Chinese buffet food that we've ever had. Plus, given the large number of patrons, the food was hot and trays were replenished regularly. I particularly liked the pork dumplings (with a hint of fresh ginger), pepper shrimp, and breaded and fried zucchini (just like mom used to make!). My husband's favorites were beef and broccoli, cream cheese rangoons, and apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, the Mongolian BBQ was a fail for me. I filled my plate with a great variety of vegetables (bean sprouts, zucchini, cabbage, peppers, onions, garlic, etc.), noodles, and some chicken and beef, and then turned it over to the chef at the grill. When I picked it up a few minutes later, my fresh stir-fry was close to black in color because the chef had added a huge amount of soya sauce during the grilling process. I've been to other Mongolian BBQ restaurants that allow you to add your own sauces to your bowl before giving it to the grill chef; that would've been preferable in this case. I don't believe in wasting food -- but the only way that I was able to eat this was by adding more noodles to lessen the per-bite overbearing salty taste. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, even refilling our ice waters before we asked, and efficiently taking away used plates. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and clean. The parking was free and plentiful. The value of the lunch buffet is excellent -- $14.99/adult before taxes and tip. Seniors aged 62 and above also get a 10% discount.

When choosing all you can eat buffets, I think you have to be realistic about what you are trying…read moreto achieve versus what is realistically possible. And with that declaration, I will say that Pacific seafood buffet definitely delivers as long as your expectations are realistic. And I would even argue that even if your expectations aren't realistic, they do a pretty damn good job delivering the goods when it comes to variety. While this is not a sushi buffet focused concept, they have a lot of great premade rolls sashimi and nigiri available around the sushi bar along with all the accompaniments that you would need to just eat sushi if that's what you desire. But they have far more selection than just those items. In addition to that they seem to be primarily known for their fresh crab legs, shrimp, and other seafood, but I honestly found those items to be some of the less interesting and less flavorful items available in the restaurant. As with any of these crab leg based, buffet's, the crab legs stayed empty, or mostly empty with you, having to special request some from your server, or at least notification from one of the cooks on when the next batch was going to be dumped. Again, as long as your expectations are in line, this is probably not a big deal for you. It wasn't for us. What I really like about this spot is the level of delicacies they offer which are clearly targeted to a primarily native Asian audience but for foodies like me, who like to venture out and try new things, this is a great way to do it without having to feel like you wasted your money on one dish that you may or may not end up eating. And while they encourage you to eat the food you take off of the buffet, they are not militant about it and don't hesitate to clean plates off of the table or refill your drinks, which is something we really appreciated. It can be a little crowded with larger families and crab leg fanatics, who only seem to be there to rush to the bar every time a new set of crabs are dumped, but other than that I would say this is a pretty enjoyable spot if you're just looking for a very affordable seafood buffet that features some of the better fresh seafood and sashimi items in the city.

Instead of honoring what THEY advertise, they tried to upsell us at the door. No apology, no accountability, just "pay more or leave." That alone killed any desire to eat there. We paid and walked out. If you can't match your pricing to your own website, that's a red flag. Won't be returning, and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We'd actually sought out a different Indian restaurant first, but it looked kind of shady--really dark on the inside and just didn't feel right. I was already feeling perplexed because I'd tried calling them to see if they could do a vegan and gluten-free meal, but their answering machine said they wouldn't even answer over the weekend! I wasn't feeling confident at all. So, we headed over to India's Flame in Tempe instead after seeing they had really good reviews. It wasn't far from our original pick, and I'm so glad we got in the car and went. The atmosphere was night and day--nice, bright, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly helpful and super polite; we didn't even have to worry about running out of water. Our meals arrived right on time and everything was amazing. The Food: * I had the Daal and my friend ordered the Chana Masala. * We were both so happy that we could customize the spice level. My friend likes her food super spicy (it's usually hard for her to find a place that actually makes it hot enough), but they totally hit the spot for her. * Her spice level is way higher than mine so I couldn't even taste hers, but she was delighted! It turned out to be a great experience. We will definitely go back again when we're back in Tempe!
