Great decision to stop by and try if you're into spicy chicken. It's a neatly decorated chicken house. At the Scottsdale Rd location, the walls are adorned with the mug shots of many famous and infamous personalities. The chicken was good. It was tender and juicy. I ordered a medium spicy (that's when you start to feel the warm) chicken sandwich. It was filled with pickles and coleslaw and surrounded by a toasted bun that rightly fit the size of the chicken and it's condiments of flavor. It was so good, that I helped myself to some of Liz's when she wasn't looking. Noah's chicken strips were good, but they needed some spice to it, he will learn. The krinkle cut fries were crunchy and hot. Noemi went with the fried pickles. One, they filled the basket and two, they were good. Lotsa pickles. Tyler helped Liz out with how the orders system and menu works. He was friendly and helpful. Great for a late time snack.

The freshest, juiciest, most flavorful hot chicken in the valley!!! This was the perfect reward for a challenging hike on a Sunday afternoon with friends. They also enjoyed the chicken and fries. The weather was perfect for sitting on the patio! We were a little disappointed it took over 25 minutes to receive our orders. We've never had that happen in all of the times we've been to both Monroe's locations.

The music and vibe in this restaurant is exactly what you want from a fried chicken restaurant. One of the cooler designs on the wall with mugshots from every celebrity you can think of. The fried chicken sandwich was good this time, it's been better the other times I've had it. The bun lacks crunch, the slaw and pickles on it provide a unique flavor to the sandwich but lacks flavor. The chicken isn't very crunchy and if you get it hot you're asking for some spice which is why I chose medium. The fries are great. I know what you're thinking, "you're saying that about crinkle cut fries, Austin doesn't know what he's talking about?" I agree crinkle cut isn't great but these are perfect. They have an interesting spicy Cajun-esque seasoning and are perfect. I recommend going here because it is one of the better fried chicken sandwiches in the Valley!

Saw the advertisement on this HOT chicken and I'm all about spicy. I ordered their original Fried chicken sandwich Hot and some crinkled fries. Was expecting a huge chicken breast that looked exactly like the picture and being juicy. For all that meat it needed some ranch on every bite. Also I should have added cheese like my husband and the coleslaw was not overpowering. The crinkled fries were the best I ever tasted, crunchy and well seasoned. The service was humble and pleasant. The weather was wonderful that we enjoyed eating outside. Can't wait to return.

Monroe's Hot Chicken was definitely a smash. I went with friends before going to a comedy show and we grabbed the regular fried chicken sandwich, some crispy tenders, and a salad (I know, I know, almost a cardinal sin at a hot friend chicken joint!). But we also ordered some collard greens and fried pickles. Took about 15 min to get our individual orders, you walk up and order at the counter, and they call your name/number up when it's ready. The crispness of the fried pickles was nice. It almost felt like they'd been air fried, they weren't overly greasy, but lightly breaded and crisped, which was nice. The collard greens had a zing to it, and we liked that flavor. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the Mac and cheese (it's my fault) so can't speak to that but someone please try it and let me know how much they love it! And finally; the sandwiches... the person taking our order asked us if we'd been to Dave's Hot Chicken because their spice is hotter because it's a "wet" sauce. I had not, so that reference didn't help, but it did scare me enough to order the medium and not the hot (which I was originally going to do). Later realized the hot (my friend ordered hot and gave me a bite), it was goooood hot, and I should have stuck to my guns. The chicken salad came with greens, tomatoes, and I ordered ranch. Their ranch style I give it a 3/5, and I'm a particularly big fan of RUNNY ranch, and this one was easily a 6 out of 10 (10 being the most runny) on the spectrum. Good flavor, nice with the pickles. Containers were pretty small and they gave me two. The place was fairly empty when we arrived, maybe 2 guests, music was loud, felt fresh and cool in there, and there are tables along side the wall. Not a lot of room for big parties or groups but then again; I'm sure they'd be able to make some accommodations if you did come with a crowd. You have to go past the building and park in the back and in a garage and walk out. Not super hard to figure out but not as easily findable as I would like. Now that I know it's easy, it's fine. Overall pretty good, I'd like to come back but go to their central Phoenix location. This one is in Tempe and right off the freeway.

Ordered take out from here today, and I asked for the sauce of my 2 sandwiches on the side. I ordered 2 chicken tenders ($5 each, crazy) and all 3 items did not come with a sauce. Now I have $100 worth of food that I'm not going to eat, without a customer service number on their website or my receipt to fix this. I live 30 mins away, so I'm not driving back.

Pretty juicy fried chicken. Nothing over the top but a good spot for classic chicken sandwich and fries. Though not sure what really got me to want hot fried chicken randomly in AZ in the hot temp but glad my friend let me try since I have always wanted an excuse to try this chain out!

I have been to Nashville and tried Hot Chicken at the source. This is not the same......but....It is good. Its just different. Nashville is a little more saucy, this is on the dryer side of things in terms of sauce, the chicken is still juicy. That being said, it was an excellent chicken sandwich and the fries? oh man, the fries steal the show. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Would I come here again? A thousand times, yes. Is this Nashville hot chicken? Kind of. If you are looking for Nashville inspired Hot Chicken, give this place a try.

Love fried chicken. Sorely disappointed. The chicken was so greasy. I know fried chicken is greasy, but this was to much. I used paper towel to keep dabbing up and absorbing the grease The crumbed part tasted slightly burnt. The chicken was nice and moist inside the outside detracted from the taste The chicken on the chicken sandwich was moist

You can tell he actually cares about the dining experience and keeps up with his tables really well. Service alone was a 10 out of 10. Before coming in, we saw reviews complaining about a 20 minute wait for the food, but honestly that did not bother us because they let us know right away that the chicken is made fresh and would take around 15 minutes. If you know good fried chicken, you already know fresh chicken is worth the wait. I would rather wait a little longer for crispy, hot chicken than get something sitting under a heat lamp. And let me tell you, the chicken came out exactly how fried chicken should be. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, piping hot, and perfectly seasoned. The crunch had that fresh fry texture where you can actually hear it when you bite into it. For sides, I got the okra and mac and cheese. It was my first time trying fried okra and now I completely understand the hype. The seasoning on it was insanely good, especially paired with the Louisiana hot sauce. Definitely ask for the yellow peppers too because they add this juicy little pop of heat and crunch that takes the chicken to another level. Overall: 10 out of 10 service 10 out of 10 food 10 out of 10 atmosphere If you actually love fried chicken and appreciate fresh food made right, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

Everything just had good flavor and didn't feel dry or basic. Service was great too, no issues at all. I didn't think anything about it when 10 minutes had passed, but once it was 20 minutes I decided to ask one of the workers how much longer it would be for my order and that's when they finally decided to inform us they were working on a catering order. I work in the food service industry so I was a little confused as to why that's not something they would disclose at the beginning of us ordering, especially if they knew it was a large order. They told us it would only be 5-10 more minutes though... and then that became 20 extra minutes of us waiting. The customer before me also ended up waiting 40 minutes for just 3 tenders. I feel like they should've offered us a free drink or something after seeing us in the lobby waiting for half an hour. And it didn't help that the 3 people on expo were just talking and fooling around. They had also looked irritated when we had gone up after that half hour to ask about our order. While I love the food, I don't know if I'll go back. TLDR: Food is great. Service not so much.

We ordered the 7-piece bone-in chicken wings with sweet and spicy and honey butter sauces, and it delivered on every level. The double-fried crunch was perfect, the meat stayed juicy, and both sauces were excellent--the sweet and spicy had a nice kick, while the honey butter was rich and addictive. The fried mandu and fried rice rounded out our meal nicely, giving us a satisfying variety of flavors and textures. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, which I appreciated. We even brought our own boba drinks and no one batted an eye. It's the kind of spot where you can just relax and enjoy good food without any fuss. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoy all kinds of cuisines at various levels from going over the top at fancy fine dining experiences to delicious home cooked meals, and also fast casual/ fast food places to boot! The main qualifier for me is-- did it taste good?! And yes, Raising Cane's absolutely tastes good. Plus, it's one of the few fast food chains that has their process for consistency and quality locked in. Every time I eat Cane's it's exactly as I expect it to be. Crunchy fried chicken strips that are juicy, nicely fried crinkle cut fries, Texas toast that I could easily eat 3 of (but don't), a little side of cole slaw and the famous Cane's sauce. We usually just share a 6 piece Caniac combo and that's the perfect amount for two of us. I also enjoy their iced tea & lemonade so I make an Arnold Palmer for my first fill, then refills are 25 sweet/ 75 regular split of iced tea. My main rule about coming here so that I get peak "yumminess" is to only eat it there. The food texture is just better when eaten right away. Fried foods don't stand the take out test IMO. Even a short ride home from the drive through can leave the chicken and fries less crispy. So, pro-tip-- eat it there whenever you're able to :)

And the food overall is good too as expected at any canes. Also the interior is nice too with movie posters from popular films. There is also the usual interior decorations you see at every cane's like disco balls and other music era decorations. But again the inside needs to be cleaned a bit better and the parking lot could be better. Since it's so busy there is almost no parking and it can be a pain to park. Also need to be careful when driving in as the way in is right near the exit of the drive thru. So that could also lead to frustration when trying to drive around to park or get in without running into close encounters with other drivers. Overall, this is a good Raising Cane's but it can be a mess to park and really frustrating to get in and out since it's right near the ASU campus. That will lead to it being super busy and other chances of not being able to find a place to sit or long wait times.
