While the food is absolutely delicious here, it's also insane that I ended up waiting 40 minutes for a single sandwich. I didn't think anything about it when 10 minutes had passed, but once it was 20 minutes I decided to ask one of the workers how much longer it would be for my order and that's when they finally decided to inform us they were working on a catering order. I work in the food service industry so I was a little confused as to why that's not something they would disclose at the beginning of us ordering, especially if they knew it was a large order. They told us it would only be 5-10 more minutes though... and then that became 20 extra minutes of us waiting. The customer before me also ended up waiting 40 minutes for just 3 tenders. I feel like they should've offered us a free drink or something after seeing us in the lobby waiting for half an hour. And it didn't help that the 3 people on expo were just talking and fooling around. They had also looked irritated when we had gone up after that half hour to ask about our order. Earning my Yelp Elite status from exploring Houston's food scene, this interstate chicken chain made me proud. You order at the cashier, then listen for your name to be called at the register. I ordered the 3 tenders & fries, served with pickles (I opted out) and 2 house sauces (which I opted to keep as house sauces). I also got a regular strawberry hibiscus lemonade. My spice level was mild, but that did not at all take away from the explosion of flavor in this food! The chicken tenders were juicy and made with real chicken with its meat striated. The tenders and fries were coated with their house spice mix, which paired perfectly with their house sauce, which tasted like a comeback sauce but a bit darker and heavier on the tomato. Amazing. My drink came without ice and was very sweet and delicious. Next time, I'll try it frozen for an additional $1. I came hear during lunch time and the restaurant only had a few people in it. I ordered and received my to go order within about 15 minutes. The cashier was super nice and made to sure to hand me silverware and a straw. The restaurant is extremely casual and has multiple large tvs on 3 out of 4 walls. There is outdoor seating. I wasnt super impressed with the food, the frys were good but they started to taste too sweet after a few bites. The chicken was a little bland, I did the mild level and I would definitely not get it again. I did order a side of their house sauce and unfortunately that didn't really help with adding flavor. Service was fast and friendly--can order at the counter or at one of two kiosks. I hadn't looked at the menu beforehand and quickly realized there wasn't much in the way of vegetarian food--possibly some loaded fries or a salad but there's no "chicken" substitute. I got cheese fries and a fountain drink. Husband got a chicken sandwich, fries, drink. Bill was around $30. While I wasn't thrilled with the vegetarian menu options, the crinkle cut fries were solid as was the cheese sauce. Tried the husband's mild sauce--lots of flavor. The atmosphere is sports bar-ish. There are 10 huge TVs and a giant painting of a sports car. There were two different songs playing--pop in the kitchen area and some kind of world-techno blasting in the dining area so loud it wasn't possible to have a conversation--at noon on a Thursday. Here's the rundown: * Medium-spice sandwich: no detectable heat. !!!!! * Chicken tender - butter honey, non spicy, ordered plain as a backup in case the sandwich melted my face off--turns out they were the only flavor on the plate. Juicy, yes, but zero spice. * Fries Classic crinkle-cuts. No special seasoning, but hey, fries are fries--they're hard to mess up and still tasted fine. * House sauce - not creamy enough, watery. So for now, it's a solid 3/5. On my first visit, I got a medium-spice Cheesy Hot Chicken and let me tell you this: I ate and left no crumbs. Having tried the "spicy" level, I'll be getting it at that level next time. The Cheesy Hot Chicken is their original hot chicken sandwich with the addition of housemade cheese sauce, all served on a brioche bun with pickles. House sauce + fries = yes! 4.5 stars easy, but I just can't give them a five. There's another hot chicken place down the street that has a death grip on my tastebuds. My boba sistah and I came here for lunch after we enjoyed complimentary meals a few weeks earlier. This time we ordered from the kiosk and I got their Cheesy Hot Chicken Sandwich Meal - level Spicy with coleslaw on the side. It was just as delicious as before and the cheese was a nice touch. Not a fan of their house sauce so next time I will have to ask if I can substitute it for something else, maybe ranch or maple syrup. I like getting the coleslaw on the side because it helps cool things down, rather than being mixed in the sandwich. I was full after finishing my meal and my companion took her salad and tenders home to eat for dinner. Good amount of parking and spacious dining area with a patio I'd love to use in the cooler months. Jeff at the front is a fabulous employee and I loved seeing him again! This place popped up on Yelp with great recap we came to check it out. Even though it's close to ASU campus, there is plenty of parking. The building is nice and clean and seating is plenty and comfortable. I already knew I didn't want spicy and was happy to see you can get tenders with honey butter seasoning, which was a 0 on the 1-10 scale. The reason I went with 4 stars is that my t-mobile phone did not have reception. I asked an employee if there is a PW for the internet and was told it's not something they provide, even to employees. I was able to attend the Elite event held here and have been more excited! Upon entering I noticed the layout; it had a sports bar vibe to include various TV screens. When you first step inside, you can see that there is a gigantic TV consisting of four screens on the far wall. On another wall across from the register, you can see that there are a few TVs there, too. I think the TVs were on mute, and I don't remember hearing any sound coming from them. The inside of the store was quiet, especially since there was only a few customers inside. The light comes in brightly from the outdoor patio, so you can't really see who is sitting down at the tables. The parking is pretty good at the moment probably because there weren't very many customers and also because it's summer and the nearby university doesn't have that many students during the summer. I am sure that during the school year the parking lot will be very crowded and the restaurant will be very busy. They have a few different lemonade flavors. I remember the strawberry hibiscus, and it tasted like strawberry at first but then you get the follow up flowery hibiscus taste. The cucumber, watermelon tasted very strongly of cucumber and if you like cucumber, you will like it. The blueberry lavender was interesting and I thought it tasted a little bit like some sort of ice cream. What really delighted me was the french fries. They were crispy on the outside and they were soft on the inside. They came out a good hot temperature. Even after they cooled down, they were still crispy and very delicious. They might be my favorite french fry restaurant now. French fries had a little bit of a paprika seasoning on it. I love the house dipping sauce that came with the french fries. It was very delicious. I thought it was the honey butter sauce. It had a sweet flavor. The chicken tenders were very delicious as well. The outside was crispy and the inside was moist. I think this might be one of the best chicken tenders I have ever had. They are actually across the street from a place that I buy from as well. I might have to say due to the size of these chicken tenders, and the crispiness and the moistness, that they might be number one for me. I got the medium spice level and it was just right for me. Located right by ASU campus, but fortunately right before it gets super congested. They have their own parking lot and an awesome outdoor patio. Inside provides ample seating and many TV's if you're looking to watch a game. It's counter service, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid the counter. Once you order, you snag a number and they bring it right to you. First, EVERYONE was so friendly and kind. The whole team asked if we needed anything or wanted assistance with the menu and helped answer questions and ever shared menu suggestions. I opted for the three tender and fries meal. My husband got the chicken sandwich and fries meal. I was able to get the tenders each at a different spice level, which I loved and it came with two sauces. I ordered the honey butter, medium and spicy heat levels for my tenders-they are all a dry type seasoning, but delicious nonetheless. I enjoyed them all. The tenders were so juicy and hardy. They really hit the mark and did not skimp on portions. The fries were delicious, crispy and seasoned well. I ordered the house sauce, ranch and cilantro. What can I say, I'm a saucy girl! The house sauce is sort of like a fry sauce, little sweeter and pairs nicely with the tenders and fries. The cilantro didn't really do it for me, tasted primarily like sour cream and not quite enough flavor, though I suppose nice to cool the heat down if needed. The ranch was Ken's dressing, though good, I was REALLY hoping for a house made ranch, because it's always so good and pairs so well with tenders, but I regress. My husband really enjoyed his chicken sandwich and got a side of cheese sauce with his fries which he loved and said would definitely get again. Drove all the way from the west valley after seeing this place on instagram. Wanted to love the food but it was not all it's hyped up to be. I got the medium spicy and there was no kick to it, but the next step up is habanero. Also tried that one and it was heavily over seasoned. I wish they had an option in between for hot. Our biggest complaint is the coleslaw is quite runny it made the bottom bun soggy on all our sandwiches. The sauce they include on all meals is not good, it's mango-ey and doesn't go with the food. The crunchy pickles on the sandwich were the best part of it. I will say the service is excellent, very nice and friendly staff. They're quick to clean up tables. Wait for food was short, which was awesome. Do I recommend? Unfortunately no. Nothing really wowed us. This is just not a sandwich I would ever crave, was not memorable. read more

This place is located near the SE corner of University and Rural. It is near ASU and the Dickey Dome and the soccer stadium. There is no drive through. The parking lot is pretty tight. Ordering is at two kiosks and is straightforward. We really like Chick fil A and Canes (across the street) but decided to try this place. They have different levels of spice from none to "Houston we have a problem - 2 million SHU" which requires a waiver. We tried Medium which is 30K SHU. Jalapeños are 8000 SHU. We got the Original hot chicken sandwich and 2 chicken tenders. The sandwich was very good but mainly because of the sauce and cole slaw. The fries were very good. The problem is the tenders are heavily breaded. Also the food was not spicy at all. The tenders had some powder in the breading which was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. This was the most disappointing part of the food. Maybe we just got a bad batch but it was quite a let down. It made me think that if you want "spicy," you have to start at "Spicy." 150L SHU sounds high but if 30K is pretty much nothing, that's where you start. This was some bad chicken. The tenders were way too thick and had a soft, not cooked enough taste. They weren't crispy and were chewy and unable to cut through in some areas. The honey butter version was considerably worse than the mild tender. The fries were luke warm and the coleslaw was way below average with just your basic cabbage, but no flavor.
