After picking up my son from the airport, we decided to stop by Pokeworks for a quick lunch. Unfortunately, their POS system was down at the time of our visit and it and affected some of the online orders which caused a delay. The staff was very apologetic, though, and asked us ahead of time if we were comfortable paying through Zelle. The line moved slowly, but did the staff did their best to move as quickly as possible. The restaurant isn't very spacious but there's ample seating indoor. I ordered the spicy tuna and salmon while my son built his own with mostly fish and rice. We paid using Zelle, which is a first for me at a restaurant, but I wasn't opposed to it. The staff apologized again and thanked us for our patience. The poke bowls were delicious and filling, and the portions were decent. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh. I would return. read more

Hmmmm- not sure what happened last two times. One time they were out of half the items and the food just didn't look as good as usual. Today I ordered it delivered, the rice was so clumped together and hard i couldn't eat half of it and it seems the fish seemed a different quality. Don't you guys lose money on DoorDash when I request for refunds? You guys always forget to put utensils when I ask for them. Today I ordered poke and it came with no wasabi, no soy sauce, missing some of the extra sauce. No napkin and no chopsticks. How am I supposed to eat? Naomi was star of the day. She was extremely friendly especially because we arrived closer to closing time, and I know workers usually just want to leave. She was amazing. The poke bowl itself was okay, not the best I've had in terms of quality but it was still a decent bowl. I would skip the seaweed salad. read more

Great, fresh poke with a nice variety of toppings/sides. The only issue is that the scoop portion is actually abysmal lol. I'm pretty sure I counted a total of 4 pieces of ahi tuna in my large bowl. My bowl was also 70% rice and 30% salad for my base. Besides the scoop portions and insane amount of rice, everything tasted great. I'll be back for lunch again. read more

First time visiting and trying poke. First impression were it was a clean, fresh space and we were greeted by the staff as we entered. Located walking distance from ASU. Ordered poke bowls to eat during lunch time. They offer hot meals options as well. We ordered at the counter and we were able to customize our bowls. It was my first time trying a poke restaurant I ordered from the menu the #2 Yuzu Ponzu Salmon and my friend made her own bowl. My only recommendation on my part for next time is to add more sauce if you plan to add only 1 type of sauce because I ordered medium amount and it needed more sauce especially if you like every bite to have sauce. I grabbed dinner from here shortly before they closed on a Friday night and it was delicious. My cashier Ash was so kind and suggested a sauce option for me when I asked, and it was incredible. The place was closing soon, so it was pretty empty, and the service was very fast. She even offered a free musubi which was tasty. The place itself is small and only seats 21 people, so if you go, I'd recommend going in a small group or eating outside. If you want fresh poke to cool you down while not feeling weighed down, this is the spot. read more

There are tons of sauce options, including some less common ones like gochujang and jalapeño aioli. The inside is small but very clean, well lit, and inviting. Basically they take everything from a poke bowl and wrap it in seaweed like a burrito. Easy to hold and eat on the go. Clean and casual. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day. The workers are always incredibly nice. Food is delicious. However, they never keep their Garlic Aioli in stock which Ive desperately wanted to try since they launched it. Ive tried their other sauces and they're ok, but usually at other places they offer Eel Sauce or Spicy Mayo which I always enjoy. So, I haven't had Pokeworks for quite some time. My friends and I decided to go today and half of them had never tried it before so I hyped you guys up so bad, right. But when we got our food it was actually terrible. I've had Pokeworks many times and it's like my favorite...I have the app and everything so I know what it's supposed to taste and LOOK like. The Mac was oddly dry this time and had 0 flavor and the lump some of salad we got was flavorless as well. Like pasture animal food...Then the chicken like come on now. It was COLD and there was barely any on any of our plates and the chicken wasn't even the right chicken that went on the plate... It was disgusting. You'd expect the workers to tell us beforehand if there wasn't anymore chicken for the HULI HULI CHICKEN plate? They did not. They only told me about the drinks being out of stock because I went to the app, saw them gone, and asked on my own behalf. The customer service was bad. I am not the type to leave bad reviews at all but I'm just very disappointed. I literally left a good review on Google like 2 years ago of this place. read more

Went into Pokeworks today and walked into what seemed like an older Haspanic woman (by the accent) yelling at a younger girl standing by the kitchen door. The tone was scolding like and made me a little uncomfortable. I feel so sad for the young woman getting yelled at. Whatever it was, I'm sure could've been handled better. I didn't notice anyone there to be in charge. So I came on here to say Pokeworks be kind to your staff, it helps the customers feel invited and welcomed. In the area for a wedding and not familiar with the area. So I placed my trust on the might YELP gods. They pointed me here. I went in and order two bowls with a variety of different ingredients, half rice and half salad bowl with shrimp. I ordered on line and it was filled very quickly. When I arrived at the shop the outside looked very busy and I was surprised due to the 100 degree weather. The inside was empty The food has flavor and the sauces were spot on. However the amount pf the protein was disappointing. I counted at least 6 shrimps in bowl. The second bowl had less. Maybe it was just an unlucky day but it was probably the worst poke bowl I've had. The salad was not fresh, brown and wilted pieces. They didn't add any sauce even at all even tho I ordered it lol so it was beyond dry, and just lacked flavor in general. The miso soup also came only half filled up. read more

Seen this place before and my girlfriend decided we should try it. No regrets! The poke we got was amazing. It's Tempe next to ASU so parking sucks but if you do find a spot, I recommend it. $12 a bowl of fresh healthy ingredients is always a must even more with the variety of choices to meet your tastes and likes. I was so surprised by the flavor of this poke bowl. The sauces are amazing! If you like spicy mayo, you have to add the Spicy Serrano Aioli. Also, the pozu is a super refreshing sauce to add as well. The onion chips added such great textures and the pineapple adds the perfect amount of sweetness. The only reason why I have 4 stars is because the portion is way too small to be paying so much. You guys need to relax with portion control because I'm pretty sure I saw the amount of each ingredient in the bowl. Be generous with portions! I pre ordered online and paid for a sushi burrito, but was handed a bowl and was told they don't have the burritos. Probably my last time going to this poke place. So weird that they wouldn't have attempted to even text or call before hand asking if this change was ok. I ordered a combo make your own poke (2 proteins) It was average, nothing special. Honestly, I have had better. I was shocked that the place only offered Aquafina water as the drink that comes with the order. Usually, combos come with a soda. However, I doordashed it and was irritated to find that it wasn't even a bottle of water... they literally gave me a PLASTIC CUP filled with water and a straw. I was thoroughly disappointed at how cheap a restaurant can be. A bottle of water would have been at least better. read more
