This is truly one of the worst gel x experience ever and I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years now. I grew my nails out so I can get a gel builder set. I broke one nail the night before and asked for a gel x one to replace the broken nail. My hope was to maintain the length that I worked hard to grow. The technician chose a nail that didn't fit my finger at all. Proceeded to awkwardly place the nail and glued/cured it down. Not only is it lifted and separated, it's misaligned. I can literally fit a metal file between the real nail and the pressed on one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I brought this up, she proceeded to tell me that my nail is crooked and that's the reason for the gap.. *cue angelah Johnson's skit* I asked her to take it off and to try an acrylic nail instead since she didn't seem to keen on gel x. She refused and instead filed the sides more to 'fix it'.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bottom line is this, there's really only one token person who does all the different services well. Everyone else either seems to be fillers for simple manicure and pedicures. I'm tired of spending my hard earned money on techs that don't know how to do something you ask but attempts anyway and will not take accountability for when they mess up. This is not a nail school and the prices don't reflect it either. I now have to pay someone else, somewhere else to fix the one nail after spending $90 here. Let this be a PSA: We work too hard to earn our money for these life luxuries. Don't let shops like this make you feel like you're the problem when you bring up their wrong doing. On the positive side, the gel stuck like it was super glued there for 2 1/2 weeks. On the negative side, that stuff was really hard to get off. I got my pedicure the tech procedure to wash my legs and feet with the same water I soak my feet in I had product on there. I called on a weekday afternoon and they fit me in super quick. I got a regular mani-pedi and it was $60. Gone are the days of the $35 mani-pedis, but also, rare are the bay area locations with $60 mani-pedis! My person did a very careful, relaxing job and I really liked the vibe of the place. I sort of ruined two of my nails the day of, but that's more my fault. They also do discounts for teachers which is very sweet. read more

I specifically asked for a golden chrome halo,when I asked the nail tech if he could do it he stated no then some lady possibly the owner stated that he did know how to. I'm aware of the process , I noticed that something was a little off. I had a very bad experience here and it was my first time. I know that what happened was an accident, however, the fact that it happened at all had me at a loss for words - I was in total shock after it happened. I was getting my acrylics removed and the nail tech decided to use a different method of removal, (not removal from acetone) and I was fine with it because she was very careful with all my other finger nails, until she got to my pinky. She did it so quickly that I didn't even realize what happened. The picture shows what it looks like after the fact, and of course you'll see that my nails are freshly manicured because I asked her to continue finishing my manicure ... as that's what I also came for. Another nail tech helped me clean it and put a bandaid on it because I asked her to... since I was just sitting there with a wrapped, and bleeding pinky. What I didn't appreciate was the fact that she didn't put on a glove when she decided to rub neosporin on my wound. Please note that I did not know she was going to do that so there was no time to even react and ask her to glove up. All in all, my experience there wasn't the greatest, especially the first time there. I am never going back and I really hope no one experiences this like I did. It was definitely a traumatizing moment. Although they did clean it for me and apologize for the incident, I just felt like there wasn't much empathy for me or 100% accountability. read more

I started off they're getting a full set with gel polish and then once my nails grow out I asked Janeen to take the acrylic off. She did that and I am now wearing my natural nails that I've been getting manicure by Jenny and I love them. I've also gotten pedicures here, which are great also. If I could leave negative stars, I would I have been coming here for a few months now getting my nails done by Sally and as I was getting my Christmas nails a few days ago everything was going great and then when she was filing my nails, she cut finger very badly and then she did it again on the next finger not only that, but as my blood was on the nail file, she proceeded to put it back in with all of her tools like I said, with my BLOOD ON IT. Then she puts alcohol on my freshly open wounds, and she asked if I'm OK at that moment, I said I was because the pain wasn't too bad and I just was already sitting there for an hour and wanted to finish getting my nails done then after I paid, I went home, and I tried doing the dishes and I started getting blistering pains in both my fingers I decided to call to get my money back because I had to put Band-Aids on two of my freshly new painted fingers, because of how swollen and bloody it was. I called them and asked for my money back and at first they didn't want to give me my money they refused, and so I said, then I want proof that you guys are licensed and all of a sudden I was able to get my money back. I took my wife down there with me just for support because I was having anxiety about the whole situation, and as I go in, she was very aggressive and tried to cut my nails off my finger and I told her why would I let you come near me with a sharp object after you severely cut two of my fingers with a nail file it turned into this whole big thing she accused me of bringing my " Boyfriend " "this man" when it was obvious we are lesbians and my wife is surely not a man. It was turning into this whole big scene so I just decided to keep the money but then she assisted I take it and she forcefully grabbed me by the arm, put the money in my hand, and then shoved me into my wife and to get out of her shop and how she trusted me and all this stuff trying to make me feel guilty so after that, I go to the doctor and I have severe infection in both my fingers, and I am currently on antibiotics twice a day for it I have never been to such an unprofessional place not only was I assaulted I had to deal with homophobic remarks just because she couldn't own up to the fact that I was seriously injured and that she was contaminating all of her nail stuff with my blood. The first time I came here was in 2017...wow I had no idea it was that long ago. I came back here randomly on a weekend to get my nails done last minute and man am I so glad I did. I went about 3 weeks ago to get dipping powder on my natural nails. It was my first time getting dipping powder on my nails and I am so glad I did. This Saturday was my first time here and I will definitely be back!! I have a toddler so when I get the chance to go to the nail shop it's usually last minute. I called around 10:40 and they were able to accommodate us at 11:15. Very friendly staff they got us started right away for our pedis. That didn't work so the next lady came and tried and did exactly the same thing the fist lady did which cause my toe to flare up. They have massage chairs and I think they are pretty affordable compared to other nail salons. Just went on Sunday and got a gel deluxe pedicure! TLDR; they suck. Go spend your money somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. I wish I could give them 0 stars, or even a negative review because I really don't know how they have more than 1 on here. DO NOT COME HERE. They do not care, they do not listen and honestly I'm not even sure if they know what they're doing. I called in to make an appointment for a removal, new set and pedicure because my last nail place really messed up my nails on my last visit. iNail Spa easily accommodated me and said I could in the same day for these services. So I made my appointment and got there 10 minutes early. The lady who greeted me didn't seem to remember our conversation on the phone even though it was about 20 minutes prior.. she sat me down on a pedicure chair and called someone else over to start working on my pedicure. They noticed I had gel polish on my toes and after a loud sigh began filing the polish away, didn't even attempt to soak in acetone. This is when the lady who greeted me started working on my hands, I showed her a picture and she said she could do it no problem. But when I reminded her I wanted a removal and new set, she told me no she could just do it over the nails I had. I showed her my inspo pic a couple more times (I wanted a clear, pink jelly nail and I had an opaque pink/white ombré set) and she just continued to file my nails top coat. She asked me if I wanted them cut or filed and I said yes, they've grown out and I need them cut. She rolled her eyes and kept working like she didn't hear me. In the meantime the lady working on my toes is cutting off cuticles and keeps pointing out to me how much it is, and keeps filing my toes randomly, which is when I noticed are all CROOKED. At this point she asked me what color polish (she actually already had it with her because I told her from the start) and I had to repeat myself a few times WHITE til she agreed to do them. Mind you, my toes are still CROOKED AF. But she goes on to paint my toe nails. Let's go back to my hands now, my left arm is being pulled to my right because my nail tech didn't want to move closer (I'm sitting in a pedicure chair getting my toes done.. limited movement), I'm getting an arm cramp so I try to loosen up, then the nail tech aggressively pulls my arm back. At this time, she wants to start painting my nails. I told her I wanted them cut. She looked at me like I had just cussed her out or something and rudely pulled my hand again to start cutting them down. I look down and my toes are A MESS. The lady asks me if that's okay or if I want another coat. I can still see my toenails, ofc I want another coat!! So I asked her to please to another coat so it's opaque white. Back to my hands. My nail tech is starting to realize how bad my last set was, and asks me if I'm sure I don't want another color from the one I originally chose. No, I don't. Again, look down at my toes and the lady is FILING MY NAILS AGAIN. AFTER THE LAST COAT OF POLISH IS ALREADY DRYING. At this point my nail tech tells me to move over to the nail table. Here is where she's going to begin painting my nails. She painted my nails the color i wanted and seemed to finally realize why I wanted a take off/new set. They're ugly as f. She asked me about 4-5 times if I wanted to change my nail polish color again. I've been waiting to leave for the last 30 minutes, so I decline because I know there's no coming back from this mess. She finishes and even tells me herself at the end that she can do another color on top. Again, I decline and pay for this disaster. I seriously ran over to the dollar tree next door to try to get products to remove this set. Turns out I didn't need to because they fell off within a week, and my pedicure was chipped by the time I got home. Idk, might have to do with the fact she filed AFTER my nails were painted. The worst! I called on Friday evening and asked if they were too busy for a walk in. They said yes, I agreed to make an appointment for Saturday. They then called ME back and said to come in. Got there, and was being rushed. She asked me if I could come back the next day and get my nails painted because she had another full set to do. After I reminded her that she called me back, she had another woman paint my nails. So as I'm looking for a design (they are extremely limited in this department), she starts rushing me. So I looked at the clock and it was 6:32 pm. I asked what time they close, and she said 7. I said ok, I have time (because the color I had chosen originally wasn't a good color she said, so I was looking for a new color.) So the lady rushed my paint and had an attitude. I leave, and my nails started peeling. They weren't dry. Smh So I go in today, and the lady asked me what happened. I explained to her the issue and she got mad. So she starts painting my nails, and I bumped them accidentally. She then got mad and told me she won't fix my nails again. So I told her I won't be coming back. She had a horrible attitude from the moment I walked in, and when I went to say something back to her, she goes "OKAYYYY OMG!" And rolled her eyes. THIS PLACE SUCKS! I made an appointment for a mani and pedicure. I have an acrylic overlay over my natural nail. I arrived and the woman tells me that she needed to remove the acrylic and reapply it. She grabs the plier tool and starts pulling off the acrylic. Ummm... no. I tell her that this hurts and she's damaging my natural nails in the process. She says that soaking off the acrylic will take 30 minutes. I was in no rush so I say that's fine. The man, I believe his name is Tony, came over and in a tone just shy of yelling says, "the acetone is gonna eat up your nail and takes a long time! Pulling it off is better!" I've had acrylic removed by soaking my nails before. I don't understand why these places don't do what their paying customers ask for. I say, "never mind I'll just get a pedi." I was super annoyed at this time. Tony then starts speaking Vietnamese to the other women in the salon. They are all laughing and continue to speak Vietnamese. It's obvious they were talking about me. I will never return here and will trash this place every chance I get. The most unprofessional and classless nail salon I've ever been to. Stay away!
