Amy did my fingers while another one of her coworkers did my toes but both of them were super sweet and good at what they do. I chose a blue/grey cateye color and love how it turned out! She refused and instead filed the sides more to 'fix it'. Bottom line is this, there's really only one token person who does all the different services well. Everyone else either seems to be fillers for simple manicure and pedicures. I'm tired of spending my hard earned money on techs that don't know how to do something you ask but attempts anyway and will not take accountability for when they mess up. Kathy (the owner) makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed, his staff do an amazing job on whatever it is you're getting done; there's hot tea and usually a snack upon your arrival--the works! I love Lee's Nails. "Lee's Nail's" isn't a very original name, but their service and quality really made them stood out. I came in with a gift certificate given from my friend who never used it. I went in and saw an average nail salon. They are Vietnamese, and the lady who did my nails was named Holly. She was very kind, though she talked too much. The parking lot sucked badly, especially because you have to feed a meter. Kathy, the owner, ran out and fed it for me...with her own money. Great service! My pedi was more relaxing than my mani. This place has exceptional qualities of a nail salon. I made an appointment for 11:00, and had my my nails done @ 11:30. I'm fine w/ that. I think, "Hey, they have a lot going on, and such." Half an hour is not bad, but if I were in a rush, that wouldn't be super good. Yesterday, I got a gift certfiicate from a lady who was advertising for them. I really like this place! Being vietnamese, i can unserstand what theyre talking about. I know some people complain about the vietnamese going around the shop but all they really talk about is which worker is doing what and odering the workers around. Such as telling a worker to clean the tub or theres an appointment. I like the mani/pedi here, great place as in terms of decoration, very elegant! Must be back whenever i visit alameda. read more
