Angel's Nails Spa has been my favorite in Alameda for a while: large clean salon, talented nail techs and plenty of nail options (dip, acrylic, gel x, polygel, you name it.) Today's service consisted of a poly gel fill overlay on my natural nails and an eyebrow wax. Service was quick but thorough. Everything came out perfectly, and I left feeling like a new woman! Love, love, love this nail salon. read more

Angel’s Nails Spa - Poly gel overlay on natural nails. Milky white with slight sparkle, Shade #22, from Cre8tion "gel in a tube". - Waxing Near Me - Alameda, California

earns a star for: 1. cleanliness 2. large assortment of nail colors 3. offer tea and water for all guests 4. manager is very friendly losses a star for: 1. made an appt and still waited 35 mins in the chair before anyone started working on me 2. everyone else had 2 different people doing hands and feet, i only had one person so it took a little over 2 hours for me to be finished 3. didn't get the color or the finish i asked for and didn't have anymore time to give them to fix it read more

Took my two daughters with me. We waited 20 minutes for our turn. We all requested manicure and pedicures. They took us all at the same time. Then they completed our pedicures first. Then they took two other customers and made my daughters wait 45 minters to do their manicures. This was not nice at all .We ended up there almost three hours, not cool. They have no respect for people's time. They need to complete a person's manicure and pedicure all at one time, in a professional manner. read more

This is more of a 3.5 star review, but hear me out! But also, please keep in mind this is/was my experience, and in no way shape or form i am trying to sway you to not come here. The reason for 3 stars is solely dependent on the amount of time, and how much the services costed, a minor service issue as well, not terrible though. This is my first time here, i was taking a stroll on park and saw this place and peaked in and saw how luxurious and clean it looked, very big open space, lots of massage chairs, so i decided to pop and see for myself. So i stroll in around 4:30pm, for a new set and gel pedi. Typically both services take me at most 2 hours. I get sat down to remove my current acrylic set, this probably took at least 30-45 minutes. From the filing, to the soaking, removal, soaking again, and removal again. This is the longest I've ever experienced a removal. Then comes the cutting and shaping of my natural nails to prep for my new set. Finally i get moved to a massage chair to start my pedicure. I opted for the deluxe so this comes with a variety of things, from what i can remember, at least 2 masks, scrub, 10 minute massage, and hot rocks after. The total for this was $70, which is way more than what i would've normally paid at different locations, but I'm not knocking it, just isn't in my range but can be for someone else. Quality isn't great, but isn't bad. This is where my service issue/frustration comes in. My pedicure took almost 45 mins, and finally someone comes to start my set, or so i thought. She kept moving around, from one person to another, helping another client in between, but there are 3 other workers. I then get moved to a table, and I'm waiting again for about 10 minutes. She sits back down with me, and i thought okay great we're starting forreal now. Nope, we weren't. There was another client waiting, and she stops what she's doing with me, the gentlemen comes over and she moves to help the other client and he's now my nail tech. It is now 6:38pm and we're finally starting my set. Precise time because i was texting my bf to let him know bc this process was just taking so long. And i kid you not, the process from putting on the gel x nails, to shaping, filing, etc etc, i didn't walk out of there until 8:12pm. I did a very basic paint with cat eye polish. Typically 2 layers of paint, but he painted at least 5 layers before starting the cat eye magnetic process... In total i paid $168, and tipped $20. The amount of time spent there and the cost of it all, and being moved around from one person to another, ultimately costed the 2 stars. But again, this is just my experience i am sharing, and not to deter your decision to visit, because the quality of work is there. read more

The location is great atmosphere, very clean and fancy massage chairs. Spacious and airy. They also have nice amenities such as complimentary drinks and a nice seating area for waiting. Wide selection of regular and gel colors. Unfortunately, the reason for knocking off two stars is when it comes to the quality of work given it just wasn't there. The techs were rushed and didn't pay attention to details. My cuticles were not precisely cleaned up, the nail polish didn't go all the way to my cuticles for my finger nails, and there was bleed over for the nail polish on my toes. Upon closer inspection today, the top coat for my toes didn't even go all the way to the edges! I had to add more myself. The techs were really nice so I wish I could've rated them higher. All in all a wash since the place is nice but quality of service just not there. read more

NO!!!!! My gel manicure chipped in less than a week and then peeled off. I was out of town and couldnt go in for a fix. The pedicure was embarrassing. I had to file my toe nails when I got home. SO BAD DONT GO HERE. Unfortunately I can't recommend a better place because mediocrity is the standard. Thought I would give a new place a try. At least the other crappy place the manicure doesnt chip. read more

Really should be a .5 star. The owner was very nice (.5) but they really rushed my daughter's manicure and pedicure; she was literally done in 15 minutes. The nail polish was super super thick, gloppy and had a very ruff texture. Sorry but will not be back. read more

if no star was an option i would do it. i asked for regular acrylic tips and was repeatedly asked if i wanted gel until i said ok. the shape is so uneven, and the french tip literally covers half the nail. they didn't put the design i wanted and added random blue dots when i only wanted a red and white, now my nails look like the american flag!! 2 days after getting them, 2 popped off and when i went back he gave me only one layer of gel and now some nails are lighter than the rest. PLEASE DONT GO HERE I SPENT 130 DOLLARS AND WISH NOTHING MORE THAN TO CUT OFF MY FINGERS SO I DONT JAVE TO LOOK AT THEM ANYMORW read more

My friend brought me here, first time in this salon and all I can say is WOW!! First of all, the place is really clean! You can tell they have great customer service because right when you come in, they greet you with smiles you can tell by their eyes :) Second of all, TAMMY is amazing!! She really took care of my barely alive nails and look at them now, they look so fresh and alive! I'm glad my friend brought me here on a weekday bc I heard they get really busy on weekends. Tammy, if you're reading this, you're a real one and thank you again! Will definitely be coming back here again and will be bringing more people in read more

I had a good pedicure here by a technician who told me her name was Liam (spelling?). Some time later, I called to ask if Liam was available for a walk-in and was told yes. When I got to the salon, I was told Liam was off that day, but someone else could do it for me. Bait and switch. The next time I called and asked if Liam was available, I was gaslit about whether there was such a person now or ever. Then I heard them laughing. No thank you. read more

I came here a few times and they are under a new owner! My experience was amazing . I came here for a gel mani and regular pedi and all I can saw was wow. The place was super cute and relaxing and was really clean. I had such an amazing time talking to the ladies who did my nails and the new owner was super sweet. I got the deluxe pedi and it came with some wine too! (Obviously you have to be over 21). They felt like family here and I found my new favorite nail spa. So i went in yesterday for pedicure and light foot massage. My left toe had soreness after i got home, and today it became red. Starting to feel pain. It's hard to find a nail salon that's open past 6:30 or even 7pm! I wanted to get gel nails before a trip but had put it off to the last minute. This place is a hit or miss now. All there nail technicians have been replaced. There's one great one and one bad one (the older lady). The older lady did my nails (acrylic and gel) and I went back a week later to get them totally redid because when they grew out, they kept getting caught on my hair. When I walked in, I kindly declined the older lady to do my nails and she walked away literally changing out loud "She don't want me to do them. Yay I'm so happy!!" Don't go to her.. shes rude and she kept cutting up my skin and burning my nails because her machine is cranked a little too high. read more

I've always had a awkward stereotype feeling of being a male going to a nail shop but I decided earlier this week I was going to give it a try for the very first time in my life, And if i was to follow through, it had to be In and Out. Obviously my Objective was to get my finger and toe nails cleaned up and cut. I just knew it was time i had to get professional service. I honestly didn't even know if there was a name for the service i wanted lol. I was greeted by Jade, and she made my first Shop experience not only great but an interest. Yes, this experience will have me back, not only because The service was great, but Also The interaction and environment by Jade and the Team made me realize it was just me preventing myself from this experience because that stereotype feeling as to which a Man getting care for his Nail Hygiene doesn't exist at all. Thank You Ms. Jade and My Angels. read more

This was my first time at this salon and I was so impressed by the color selection. The salon felt clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the spa chair was broken and my nail chipped the same week of my manicure. However, they did offer a discount on my pedicure since my chair was broken. I would try them again. read more

Non-speaking English staff and very unhelpful. I made an appointment over a week ago for my wedding nails. I show up 5 minutes early. No one greets me. There are 2 staff members working on one customer. The customer tells them that someone is waiting at their counter. Neither of them says hi, just "what do you want"? I told them I had an appt, one of them said "no, I don't remember making the appointment". Wouldn't even get up to look at the appointment book. Both staff members continue to ignore me and just keep working on their one customer in the salon. So I left and drove to Kim's nails, which was packed! The owner came out and greeted me, I told her I didn't have an appointment and she pulled a chair for me and took care of me right away. My Angel Nails lost a huge transaction from me, and Kim's nails just earned a new customer. read more

So I came in on a Friday morning about when the shop opens at 10am to get a gift certificate for someone. The shop is organized clean and bright. I was greeted unmediated and at that time I decided then that I would love to get my mani pedi done as well. To my surprise they really did a good job! I'm very picky about my nails so it does mean this shop is amongst the better ones here in Alameda! I was going to get regular mani pedi but I did see there Monday - Friday ongoing promotion for Gel Manicure with a regular pedicure running on yelp! The promotion price is $43. Let's clarify it does mean On manicure is gel and pedicure is not. The benefit I was told is it "lasts longer" and you can be done quicker as it does dry faster. read more

I wanted to wait to see how long my gel nails last before giving a review of this nail salon and WOW. I got a gel manicure done here over 3 weeks ago and there have been no chips, peeling scratches, nothing. I wasnt being particularly careful to preserve these nails and they have still lasted, and still going strong! The staff were very nice, friendly, and welcoming. Their work speaks for itself! Would 100% recommend, definitely getting my moneys worth from this gel manicure. Thank you! read more

Han on pedi and Tammy for fill- amazing, quick and so professional. Thank you ladies!

Horrible service, their salon is dirty. They used dirty tools and I ended up with a toe nail infection. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I tend to like complex nail designs, usually involving multiple colors and some kind of design. Anna and the rest of the staff always indulge my crazy ideas and always try their best to create any designs that come to mind. The latest is attached.
