I go here mainly for pedicures. Sometimes natural/regular manicures if my nails really look bad and I'm visiting home. Anyway, why just pedicures? Because for $38- I get a salt scrub, paraffin wax and hot stone massage. That's just their regular pedi! (Gel is $50) They have a premium service focused on pampering and I've had pedicures like this in Palo Alto WITH PALO ALTO PRICES. And for Walnut Creek prices- $38 is a basic pedicure with just filing, cuticle care, pumice stone callus buff and spotty massages depending on the pedicurist. I've been here as a walk in with no usual tech and EVERYONE has done a great job with the massages. I'll always try to get a pedicure here if I visit my parents in Alameda. I don't think they have a stamp card. read more

I came here this afternoon to get my eyebrows and nails done and I'm pretty happy with the results. Most places I've been to are super fast so I'm in and out of there in an hour. This place reallllllly takes their time which is good I guess if you're into having that full spa experience but being there for two hours was a little longer than I anticipated. That being said, they did a great job making sure I was taken care of and that everything is complete to the best of their ability while checking to make sure I was happy throughout the process. Note: They don't let you tip them on a credit card, only cash so they walked me to the back of their salon to an ATM so I could draw out money to give them as a tip. Ha. read more

I requested a manicure, and was a bit confused when the technician began to use the electric nail buffer on my already unpolished and thin nail beds. She applied 2 fairly sloppy coats of polish before saying-- "oh I forgot that you didn't want gel" -- and then gave a 1 minute massage around my wet nails. The whole experience was so bizarre. I wouldn't have bothered with a review except that now 3 weeks later my filed down nail bed is still growing out as a reminder. read more

Everyone was wearing a mask, however no temperature check or hand sanitizer was offered (I went ahead and hand sanitized my hands myself). Midway through pedicure the technician cut me and started bleeding. No sorry, no nothing and let my toe bleed (she tried covering it up with a cotton ball). OMG, AMAZING! First time here as we had to leave another shop that was going to reuse a pumice stone. I walked in and the shop was nice and clean. I asked if there was availability for my 2 sisters and I and was told they could take us. Lin parked while Tel and I got seated. Van was my tech and she was very pleasant. We all got the classic (basic) pedicure ($33) which is all but basic; sugar scrub, paraffin wax and hot stone massage YES!!! We were all kinda chatting and one of the partners (Kim) overheard me tell my sisters I would come back, they're friendly, clean and not reusing anything - she commented, NO, we don't reuse anything except for the tools which are sanitized by the sanitizer machines used by the dentist office. She then commented that she has to think how she would feel as a customer if she were sitting in the chair. She seemed very sincere and commented they do not reuse anything but their tools. I started off getting acrylic at various salons throughout the years and I can't say I've ever been fully satisfied with any nail job. They were always too thick or had some flaw on the side profile. I come to think maybe it was just the shape of my nails that was causing it. I first visited Diva Nails as a back up to my mediocre nail salon I was frequenting because they couldn't see me that spur of moment. I couldn't believe my eyes on how perfect my nails were. I never returned to the other salon, dropped them like a hot potato. I've seen two technicians at Diva and both do consistent high professional work. They recently turned me onto dip polish and I'm hooked on that now. I also do their pedicures every so often. It's was my second time coming here with the ladies although we had an appointment it was a little bit of a wait but I didn't mind, however when the appointments were made we did ask if we could all be taken at the same time and we were told yes but that was not the case. I asked for an acrylic overlay and the manicurist suggested dip powder (I have never done either) so I went with the flow. I got a French manicure and it looked so good! I also got a pedicure, I think it was called a fire dancer pedicure. Everything about it was amazing! So my first thoughts when entering: it looked clean, lots of chairs, pretty spacious and a lot of color selection. I like how they put the plastic bags in the tub for the pedicure. I received a pedicure, acrylic full set, and eyebrows waxing. I kind of felt rushed because multiple people were doing my nails at 1 time.... The pedicure came out great, the lady that did it was very sweet and friendly. My eyebrows look decent. However the full set doesn't look so well the nails are crooked and uneven, the polish isn't spread evenly(French tip) the nails on my right hand are longer than left hand. I had 2 people doing the full set on my nails.The main lady that did my set was passive aggressive and rude. She would push and pull on my hands aggressively if i wasn't moving them fast enough. When she messed up the polish on my nails she didn't even try to fix it she just wiped it with a towel. I asked about designs and she didn't show me anything, she just etched a poorly made flower on my fingers. I honestly felt like she rushed my nails to get me out of there. There were multiple customers and I was the only person that had three people working on them. The second lady that was working on my set just did half of my hand and then left without saying anything. I paid $128 and nobody could give a price breakdown. Never again, i didnt feel welcome when a get there i just wanted a manicure and tinted eyelashes and what they did was my manicure but not what i aksed for and a freaking eyelashes extension!!! I specificaly said no extension and thats what they did, they said its a full one but doesnt look like it.... Made appointments on their online system for myself & my bff at the same time. We both received text confirmations. Less than an hour before my appointment, they called to tell me they're cancelling my appointment because "nobody is staying." Except my bff still has her appointment & hasn't received a call canceling hers. Smdh. Don't offer an appointment time AND confirm it, just to turn around & cancel less than an hour before the appointment. I scheduled this because I am going on vacation tomorrow. Now it's too late for me to go anywhere else. Definitely will not be giving them any business in the future. I'll stick with Nail Bar down the street where the service is excellent, they have complimentary beverages, & they don't cancel your appointment because someone doesn't feel like doing their job. came here last minute as my usual nail spot was packed (even tho i had a appointment). they were so nice and accommodating even when i wanted my nails longer after she already cut them( she really did her best!!) it was nice and clean inside and the chair was comfortable. so many colors to choose from as well. i also got my eyebrows done which is something i don't usually do from nail shops ( just a personal thing) but i needed them to be done desperately and she did amazing! i will defiantly be back. read more
