It's been 2 months since my purchase and I wanted to give a fair review of my experience with Impulse Automotive and Matt. I told Matt on the day that I met him that I was very leery of purchasing a car from a small independent car-lot instead of a large franchised dealer. Matt put me at ease and was very pleasant and professional. I purchased a 2004 Lexus SC 430. Although the Lexus had very low miles, there were a couple of issues that Matt took care of quickly. I also had the opportunity to meet with his outside mechanics, Trusted Tire & Service in Orange, who reviewed the car with me; however, with the second meeting I had with them they lacked customer service - I felt I was imposing on them when I came back to get the wheels aligned. This is why I never I go to an independent mechanic. I'm the customer who's spending money -- so please treat me respectfully. Now, this Lexus is a 3rd car for me, and I maintain my cars through franchised dealers. So, I knew at seeing the Lexus that I would more than likely must do some preventative maintenance on it at a Lexus dealership to bring the car up to "my standards." I will be having the Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced, seat memories repaired, and the fuel injectors cleaned, plus some other minor interior work done at Lexus of Westminster. This work will cost about $3000.00. These items are all preventive maintenance. Again, this would bring the car up-to a higher standard. So, I'm kind of okay with spending this much extra money. Would I purchase from Impulse Automotive and Matt again? Yes, I would. I find that Matt chooses his used car selection well and are priced fairly. My Lexus has been terrific. I have enjoyed my purchase immensely. read more

When looking for a car, all I knew was that I wanted a fully loaded SUV for 25k. Impulse automotive had a white limited ultimate Hyundai Santa Fe available for sale that shockingly was right in my price range!! Kelley blue bloom estimates the car at 30k through a private sale, but not at impulse automotive! Fortunately for me, they had the exact car I was looking for, but it seems like the kind of dealership where you could come in and say: "Look this is the car I have, this is the car I want, this is what I want to spend. How can you help?" And the owner would figure it out for you. We saw the car, said this is what we want to spend, met in the middle and spent maybe a whole five minutes the next day signing the paperwork. First of all, my shopping for a car found some people doing the car biz the gangster way, which is they say it has low miles and you drive there for an hour to find it has high miles and needs to go to the shop for a tuneup. I'm saying I drove and hour to see a car that wasn't ready to sell at a dealer who claimed it was an honest mistake. Two weeks later the ad was still on line misstating the miles of the car. Another dealership added secret costs to a car that didn't make any sense. I could go on about how bad other dealers seem to be right now. I'm very happy to have found Matt. Matt of Impulse Auto Group does not run his business this way at all. He's fair and when I came back with a couple things to fix, he did it. I'm happy I didn't get scammed by the other dealers. Can I say how much I love Matt! I had been searching for a 2007 Lexus SC430 Pebble Beach Edition for a year. We have been in search of a used car for quite some time. During our search, we came to the realization that most used car salesmen/dealerships are a bit dodgy AND then we met Matt at Impulse Automotive Group. From the moment we called to inquire about the car to the moment we purchased the car, he was helpful and showed an enormous amount of patience and integrity. There was a point when I felt guilty that we were asking him too many questions and taking up so much of his time and when I apologized, he told us that if he were looking for a car, he would ask a ton of questions himself and he wanted us to feel comfortable making a purchase. Never once did we feel pressured. When we decided we wanted to purchase the car, we also decided we wanted to finance a portion of it and realized that we were not going to be able to finalize the payment until the following day because the banks had already closed for the day. After already taking up so much of Matt's time, we felt badly about not being able to close the deal that same day but he still remained calm, collected, and incredibly helpful. Every once in a while you meet someone that restores your faith in humanity, and Matt was one of those people.
