I called on a Saturday am to see if they had time to soak off my gels and just get a regular mani. The woman told me they were busy at the moment but could I come in at 1:30? I said that was fine. When I got there, the owner didn't believe that I had an appt, even though my name was written in the book. She puts me in the chair next to the cashier and put the acetone cotton and tin foil on my nails then leaves. After 5 minutes I look around and see her doing a pedicure on someone else. I figured I would wait and see what happens before I got upset. 5 minutes later she leaves the pedicure woman and comes over to do my nails. I asked her if she could wash her her hands first and she laughed at me, said something about acetone. I told her it was kind of gross to go from someone's feet to my nails. She sighed and washed her hands. I got a rushed basic gel removal which was pretty much my expectation until she nipped the skin under my pinky with the nail cutters. No blood but it stung when she put the acetone back on. Then a customer came in and she moved me to someone else. At this point, no one has asked me to pick my next color. I just wanted to get out of there. The second woman was nicer. She didn't do anything with my cuticles. I got a reduced rate of $10 because the the pinky cut. I went home and filed my nails more evenly. My nails are a little bumpy from where they didn't remove the entire gel. I won't go back again. read more

I came in for just a pedicure and had a great experience. I really liked that the pedicure tubs are lined and changed upon every pedicure. The salon is up to date with the covid guidelines having plexiglass in-between all stations and maintained people staying 6ft apart. My pedicure was great and has not chipped at all. I usually don't get that lucky so I am really happy with my results. The staff was very nice and pleasant to deal with. read more

I've been here a few times now. I was initially drawn to this place since it is open on Sundays. I have only been here on Sunday's and am able to walk right in and have my nails done - don't know how busy it normally is during the week. This is a well kept and clean salon. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I would say the prices are a little higher than normal ($26 for a mani/pedi, I have also posted a photo of the price list) but is well worth the extra few bucks for the quality. Miss this place! When I lived in Lodi, I frequented it a lot. Great prices, large polish selection and very clean. I even bought a piece of the fashion jewelry that [at least they used to] sell at front "lounge area" when you first walk in. They're good at waxing eyebrows too!! My manicure lasted 24 hours before it started chipping. 48 hours before half of one nail's polish is gone. 6 out of 10 nails have polish off of them. I went with a friend of mine. I brought my own polish, brand new bottle. She used a polish from them. Her nail polish is also chipping on multiple fingers. read more

I travel 10 miles out of my way for this place. They are incredible, very attentive to detail. Young is a perfectionist, she does exactly what you ask for in the exact way you want. Everyone else there is super nice and do great jobs on my feet without making me feel insecure about my toes. The pedicure tub is my favorite. They use a new liner everytime so you never put your feet in a tub that 7 people before you did. They also have spa pedicures. When I get waxed, they always do a good job. Never had complaints. Overall it's worth every mile I travel and every dollar I spend. I love them and the owner is so sweet and always smiles and greets the customers when they come in. They do not rush you when they are busy, might tell you it's a little wait but again worth it. I always get complimented on my nails, even people stop me and ask about my nails. It is so sad that we can't use the nail salon in town being that we live in Garfield and want to support local businesses yet owners are so rude you become turned off! I will never again step foot in this nail salon! I live right down the street...walking distance, but I will never again use this nail salon because of how rude the owner was! Rolling her eyes and shaking her head because I called in the morning and she never gave me a specific time to come in...just said our busy time is until about 11...come after that! Even if she had no time to do a pedicure, she could have just said sorry! No eye rolling to her customers and workers necessary! Came back for a pedicure and wow what an amazing relaxing experience. My feet feel so super clean too! Commuting and walking in the city have made my tootsies so rough so I'll definitely be coming here monthly. They have various scents and I chose honey cinnamon this time. For $50 you get a spa pedicure with callus remover. Your feet will be so soft after! It's worth every penny. They reuse the nail equipment. Nail file had white stuff on it and I said something and she said she forgot to get new equipment. Second time I went there was skin on the cuticle cutter... would not recommend. Especially with COVID or even giving someone a bloodborn disease. read more

First time with no appointment, I was taken in and the one lady that took me was very nice and did a great job. HOWEVER, owner was very rude and pushy when asking for tip. I did notice like others have said SHE will be polite if you are white or go there like every week. Which is very strange due to the fact that she has Latinas working for her. The place is outdated. The only thing I can say I liked was how sanitary the pedicure seats were, they put plastic in before your feet go in the tub, you never once touch the bottom of the tub bare. Thus, is the reason this place got at least 2 stars. And the woman was nice. Moving on to my nails was another story. I needed a gel manicure, the owner told me that the woman who normally does them is busy. You only have one person in your nail salon capable of doing a gel manicure? Touché. Next, the owner then says "ok I'll do it but I'm not that good at it". I should've stopped her right now, so that part is my fault. Also, she made it sound like she was doing me a favor by doing my nails... Hello, I'm about to give you $30 and your doing me a favor? I think not. Anyway, the very day my nails started lifting pretty much half way, I was just able to peel them off without soaking them or anything.. If that doesn't tell you how poor of a gel manicure that was, I don't know what will. I understand this is north jersey and we're not exactly the friendliest in fear of people trying to take advantage of you, but seriously..don't be rude to someone who is about to pay and act like you're doing them a favor! Then I had gels done on 2/13 and last week they came off. I went back and showed her and she said she would redo them with a discount 2 days later. I also feel she is only nice to the white clients. They rushed my pedicure, were a bit rude, asking me to pay upfront, mind you I understand sometimes people judge a book by it's cover, but I am coming in there in office attire, driving a nice vehicle....I felt as if because I'm hispanic they are making me pay upfront? I never pull the race card, but I definitely felt judged, as they weren't asking anyone else to pay up front. This is used to be my go to nail place until recently. I was going on a trip and I wanted to get my nails done. I called a few days prior to make an appointment and she told me to come in at 5:15, so I did. I get there and there is only one nail tech and she was helping someone which was fine because I still had to pick my nail color. As I was picking my nail color another women came in for a gel manicure. The nail tech finished the person she was helping and then proceeds to take the women who came in after me which annoyed me. Then owner decides to take me instead and as she's doing the manicure she cut my skin. Then as she started applying the polish, she was rushing. She was putting coats on before the coat prior was even dry. She finished and it didn't look that bad, but it wasn't until about two days later that I noticed the bottom of my nails we're starting to chip. To top it off, my nails chipped completely within 5 days. I've never had a gel manicure that lasted only 5 days. I am extremely disappointed with my experience her and I will not be returning. read more

However I'm not a satisfied customer. My gel manicure didn't even last a week before it cracked and chipped. 2wks in all but 3 nails are chipped or cracked. The atmosphere was nice. If I could give this place no stars I would! The women who work there are incredibly nasty and I've given this place three chances. I'm a generally easy going and nice person who doesn't nit pick about things but I can't stand how nasty they were on the last two occasions. Not only do they give attitude if you mess up a nail accidentally but they also whisper and laugh at you amongst each other while looking at you, wtf lol. My friend who was getting married that weekend messed up one nail and apologized and the girl said to her "you need to be more careful." Seriously? That's part of your job. I've been a loyal customer at this place for at least 4 years. I always tipped generously, I always dropped at least $50 every time, and I am not a rude customer. I went there about two weeks ago holding one of those points cards they give you for every time you visit. The second I walked into the salon, the owner looked at me and started laughing the second she saw the points card in my hand. So I asked her if I could use my points towards a gel mani, which is what I always get there. She took the card from me, looked at it, gave it back, laughed some more and walked away. This is my go to nail place but I only go for pedicures as I don't get my nails done. I've never had an issue and they are always nice to me and do a fantastic job! The owner is always so nice as are all the workers. The only thing is I recommend you make an appointment no matter what time of day you go.
