What a busy nail salon! Definitely make an appointment way in advance! The salon is very nice instead. Huge huge wall of gel colors and separate huge wall for regular nail polish. In addition, they have many design ideas below the wall of nail colors to choose from and pre colored nails of every color to hold against your own nail to see if you like the color. I believe majority of the techs did both mani and pedi instead of having separate techs for pedicure. But the service was pretty quick and my sisters loved their mani pedi. Love the prices too especially with the discount getting both mani pedi done! Regular combo is $30. What a deal! Just don't like the fact that they run you down for a tip lol (I literally saw the receptionist chance someone to the door saying are you going to tip....crazy) let people decide that on their own). Just FYI if this location is busy there is another location in Bayonne! There is also a small parking lot in the back that gets filled pretty quickly.
Worst place I've ever seen! I called to take an appointment to do my wedding nails and i told them over the phone that i want june to do my nails and i also brought 4 other girls with me. June started my nails by putting a very thick layer of gel on my nails and she left my nails and started doing someone else's nails and another guy came to complete my set it took him 4 hours to file the gel down i went there at 1 o'clock and by 5:10 my nails weren't even done. I told them i will comeback the next day to fix the shape. I came back the next day they made my nails awful they ruined my wedding pictures because its all focused on the nails and I didn't have time to go somewhere else. Very Rude customer service bad work worst experience ever and i cost me and the 4 other girls 600 dollars for these nails. After one week 2 of my nails broke from the middle and started bleeding
They always do such a great job! It's very hard to find a nail salon that shapes your nail the way you want it, but Aphrodite has never disappointed! The staff is very friendly. I always make an appointment before I go because it does get pretty busy at times.
2024 prices - mixed feelings about this salon as I do not agree with the surcharge if you return for a fill after 4 weeks. Aside from that I guess the prices are fair compared to nearby salons. It is not a fancy establishment, but it is clean. Staff is adequately friendly. I have never left feeling like they did a bad job. I will add that I have been charged $20 extra to add 2-3 extensions when I came for a fill one time which was upsetting at the time. I recommend clarifying the price prior to the manicure.
Not impressed...at all. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! I got the gel mani + pedi for $55 and tbh the quality is a $20 job. For one, my big toes were filed into the shape of triangles!! They were so sharp I was certain they would cut a whole through my socks. I was partially impressed at how the heck you get a square toe nail into a full blown triangle. SECONDLY!! Do you see my gel mani?? The gel legit peeled off after a few hours! I actually plan to go in tomorrow and DEMAND A REFUND! I am so annoyed I spent $55 for NOTHING. While I was getting the manicure the lady was literally clipping at my skin! I'm seriously so upset with this nail job because it unacceptable... i will only be back for my Update: Next day... Okay so I went back in the next day and they re-did my entire gel polish, free of charge as it should be. The second time around I will say they did a much better job. I am pleased which is why I bumped them from 1 star to 2. I still wouldn't go back but it was nice they did the right thing.
This is my go-to nail salon! I've been coming to this salon for about two years and wouldn't go anywhere else. For pedicures, they make sure to use a plastic cover for the chairs, so you have no contact with it. They also sanitize the chairs after each use. After they sterilize their tools (nail clippers etc) they individually package them, so they use a new, clean, set of tools every time. (Other salons in the area don't do this.) the place is clean and they offer you a choice of lavender or green tea scented scrubs for your pedicure. And they use a hot stone! Heidi is my favorite! She's the reason why I keep coming back - without her, I'd give Aphrodite 4 stars instead of 5. She makes sure to take her time with each client, and she does such a great job. My regular manicures last so long when she does then! On top of that, she Always always always has a friendly disposition and is super friendly!
This place is about a 5 minute drive from my house so I tried it out with my sister in law and we both thought it was a great value! We both got pedicures with regular polish. The pedicure was very extensive- it included cuticle care, nail shaping (cut & file), green tea or lavender foot scrub, lotion massage, and a warm heel softening liquid they wrap around your heel while they do the polish. It was $25 for the service on a Saturday and the staff was very kind and attentive. The tools they used were from a fresh pack and clean. Will definitely be returning here again!
I've been going to Aphrodite for almost a year now, just every month or so. they do a great job, and for a very decent price. I usually get a gel mani with design. There is a little language barrier sometimes (Korean/Spanish), but everyone is really nice :) I've mostly gotten my nails done by Yuna, sometimes Young. Note: they accept walk-ins, but it's usually busy, so make an appointment ahead of time. You can park in the back or street parking
Prior to coming to Aphrodite, I've searched just about any and every nail salon in New Jersey in order to get what I was looking for. Luckily for me I found them and have not been disappointed. They're all super friendly and follow appropriate cleaning methods. June is my go to nail tech one thing to note is that they do get busy so I like to call in advance to make an appointment.. and even then sometimes be ready to wait a couple mins.. but it'll be worth it!
Horrible place get your nails done, the lady Ellie did a disaster with mine, there is nail polish all over my finger and under my nail, i asked for a color and she used whatever she wanted, nails are uneven and horribly think, i clearly told her, I want my nails to be square, not round edges, guess what...very round edges. She almost obligueted me to leave her some tips....disgusting place, won't ever go back
My first time going and I loved it. Very clean and comfortable place. Would highly recommend. Bonus: They have a point card which I love!!
I absolutely love this nail salon. It's so relaxing!! They do accept walk-ins but they have a tendency to get pretty busy! So do yourself and everyone else a favor - and make an appointment! Yes, even if you are JUST getting a pedi.. APPOINTMENT! You'd be pretty disappointed to sit and wait 30+ minutes to be seen. On that note-give yourself enough time for your nail tech to finish their work. If you're looking for a quick 20 minute pedicure- you probably aren't used to great service or maybe you only have 2 toes on each foot. Who knows! Just give yourself the time! Anyway- I would highly recommend ! My friends and thifamily are all now happy customers of the nail salon.

Found this little gem of a salon two weeks ago. I got new set of acrylics my daughter had a gel manne pedi. Elin was fabulous, took her time and two weeks later nail are still looking amazing. The ombré finish she did for me I've gotten so many compliments on! Young did my daughters and she was very happy too. Prices are same as everywhere else! Parking is easy and service was very friendly and we chatted about our daughters up coming weddings. I just found my new go to place. If I had to say only thing missing I got from my other salon would be that little shoulder massage they give you. Which I always love. But I can't judge them on that. Overall place is clean friendly and priced well. read more

Excellent service. Very clean salon with nice precautions due to COVID. Beautiful work for UV gel! They also gave me a travel-sized, complimentary hand lotion that is very nice to use daily in the cold weather. read more

They have packages to make the price a little cheaper but beware If you let them offer you an addition to your nails they'll cancel your combo price. hones They used to be really good but as the years pass it seem they're caring less and less about quality Of service. It took over 3 hour for gel mani gel pedi with a design. Almost $100 later, It's disappointing. read more

First time here & my LAST !!! Despite the good job my pedicure lady did i left this place highhhhhhly upset. While sitting getting my pedicure done I had decided to so my brows done. I went ahead and asked my lady who could do my brows and specified on exactly what I wanted. A couple minutes later im taken to a room in the back, here goes the brow lady wax and scissor happy ( angry emoji inserted ) i told her to just "clean them" * * * couple minutes later she pulls out this handheld mirror to show mw my brows and asks me if their okay !........ Cricket Cricket She wax so much extra hair ! I was livid !! After realizing her mistakes she called out in her language for another worker to fix the issue. As angry as I was i didn't want to be nasty and rude so i just took a deep breathe and waked out of the room. My EYEBROWS LOOK HORRIBLE. Thanks guys for making have to wait 2 months for my brows to grow in right before my birthday Upon paying another worker apologized and handed me a $10 off coupon. Not that I will ever use it. Never ever going back !!! read more

Okay I'm so sad to write that I'm no longer a loyal customer. The last few times I went here have been less than stellar. For instance, I went to repair one broke nail and the nail tech assigned to me took maybe 3 minutes total with me. She only used one coat of gel and one coat of polish. Needless to say that nail came off later that night. I returned about 2 days later for a full gel refill. My nail tech was Sarah. Nice enough. Middle nail finger is one inch longer on hand. Sigh. And what should've been stiletto turned into some oval some idk. She didn't give me the glove lotion either. Julie is gone. The others seem to be revolving in and out. I'm off to find a new nail home. read more

Clean, plus amazing pedicures - hot stone, massage, & scrubs included for $25. Def my fav and go-to for them. Good manis as well. However, horrible gel manis. I attached a picture of the white gel mani I had done last May on a weekday (not busprior to going on vacation. read more

When today for Mani/pedicure looking a place close to home and I was gladly surprised! The girls who did my pedicure was pretty great and the gel manicure came out really good. The atmosphere was clean and girls over here were friendly but not too much (which I loved). Prices are pretty cheap as well. Hopefully my gel manicure last over 2 weeks. Color range is also quite large (even tho I only use neutral colors)!!! Location is also perfect with parking in the back! Definitely going back to this place! Ps. I will update my review in 2 weeks on the gel manicure. read more

I made an appointment from all the good reviews but I was pretty disappointed. The place is very nice and the staff are attentive and friendly. Maybe I just had someone that just wasn't her day cause my gel manicure just came out so messy. I have polish on my finger tip and even though I tried to scrape off the polish It doesn't look right. I wanted to really like this place but even after I told the lady that I had gel on my finger she just couldn't understand and just smiled. I walked out without saying much because I realize even if they offered to fix it, it probably won't look that nice anyways... I'll probably never come back to this establishment... read more

I came to get acrylic removal and a gel mani. Elin took her time for the removal and was very gentle. She was patient with me as I wasn't sure what color I wanted. We tried a few on my fingers to see which I liked until I found my favorite. My nails look amazing and clean! Oh yea they also gave me a free hand cream for my first time visit, I'll be back. read more

This place is great! I got there 30 minutes before my appointment and they took me right away. I had a french gel manicure($32) done by a very sweet woman. I think her name is Ana. She made sure I was happy with my nails. They also use new cuticle scissors and stuff in a package that they open in front of you so very sanitary place. Extremely clean and a lot of polishes. Will definately be back. read more

I don't go here for my acrylic set anymore since the last owner Sam sold this. I always only come here for pedicures just because it's different and good for the price they have it for. Sometimes, I will need a gel manicure but unfortunately, they did not greet me, then a nail tech came to the gel polish rack and didn't say excuse me after she was trying to get the books in front of me while I was looking at them?? I was waiting for 10 minutes to at least be greeted or be told a waiting time frame but none of that was told to me which required me to leave. I've had their gel manis before and they are always a little out of shape but I'm always a person who gives more chances than usual. I will only come here for the pedicures from now on since their staff for pedicure are much more nicer than the ones who do your manis. They're very rude and act fake nice if you know what I mean. Sadly, I'll be finding another nail salon. Sam was better but the pedicure staff are super friendly. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I usually get a gel mani with Aracely and regular Pedis with Ericka. I tend to go Thursdays or Fridays in the morning and they're always able to accommodate me. Usually, when I want something simple, I pay 50 without the tip included. I love Aracely because she's very delicate and a perfectionist if something doesn't come out right. I usually ask her if she could do any designs but when she doesn't feel to comfortable I don't push her because she still pampers me, she makes me fall asleep and that's exactly what I look for when I get a these services: "Relaxation". I also grow lots of cuticles, so after 2 weeks I already have some skin around my nails, but it doesn't change the quality since I work with my hands a lot, they don't tend break nor chip. Because of Aracely they're so long and nice! I never pictured my nails to look this nice! When I get my pedis with Ericka, she makes me fall asleep with the awesome massage and how she cleans up my toenails and prevents them from getting any ingrown nail! When I'm in a rush to get the work, they both work together to get me out of there as soon as possible! I love it! Hopefully it doesn't turn as crappy as the other nail salons where they just want to get you out. I love the spa like feeling! read more

Will you guys be opening back up on the 22nd, and is it by appt only, what are the procedures. (thank you)?
They are opening the 22nd. I'd make an appointment considering the circumstance with COVID-19.
How much is it for refill and repair for acrylic nails?
I know typically if your doing gel fill in and gel polish I believe it's $35 but the nails last. Also if they get damaged and you got them done there they fix it for free which is nice.
Do you use gel builder? Let's say a client would like her natural nails longer. Does not want to cut her real nails they are decent length but would like longer.
Yes they do builder gel sets, I believe it's $57 for a new full set
I love stiletto nails, is there anyone there that specializes in stiletto nails and can do creative designs?
Yes we do stiletto nails.
How much is it for a full set and a simple design?
Full set $57 simple design $5 for two nails
What is the last appointment time today? This is for a gel refill.
Would be depend on what kind of service you need
Do you have social media accounts? I'd like to see your work.
Sorry I dont have one yet
