Based on the pointing and the other person looking at the design on my cell phone, I could tell Sunny was over her head so I then told her, let's go with the easier design. I should have left at that point and that's why I'm writing this review...how does this place have a 4.0 on yelp?! There were several times I tried to tell her she's not doing a good job. She even made me bleed, look at my terribly red cuticles. My nails look nothing like the requested design. After I told her I don't like what she did she looked confused and tried to give me a hand massage. I told her I don't like this and to take the lotion of my hand I'd like to leave. After paying $70 ($40 for gel, $30 for chrome) she asked for a tip...like wrote the word tip on my receipt and circled it. Wild!

During my husband's pedicure, the technician was talking instead of paying attention and scrubbed his foot down to raw skin, causing an infection. The salon initially offered both of us complimentary manicures and pedicures and agreed to refund the service that caused his injury. When I later stopped in to use my complimentary service, they went back on their original offer and said it applied only to my husband. However, he is so stressed and shaken by what happened that he has been unable to get another pedicure. He asked me to use the complimentary service instead, but the salon refused. We have decided not to return. This business did not honor the resolution it offered after injury, and the lack of attention from its techs is a serious concern. What happened to us could happen to anyone.

They also called at 11:00 asking me to come early because they had a no show but I said no because I was traveling back to the NJ area. They don't have lot parking so you have to find street parking and I was 6 min late walking in when the nail artist walks me over to the pedicure chair to say she won't have time to do french toes with chrome. I grabbed my stuff and left. I even tried to explain myself to the receptionist that I had to have multiple convos about this appointment and saying that they can't accommodate me now is ridiculous. She then told me to "take it down a notch". No, you step it up and be better. You guys are extremely rude and I will never come back to this salon or recommend you ever. I've been coming to Elite Nails for over 5 years for these exact reasons. It's located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking in a lot. The salon is small and a little outdated. It could use a paint job and new flooring, but at least it's not unsanitary. There's around 6 pedicure chairs and 6 manicure stations. If you want a luxurious ambiance, this isn't the place for you. Their prices are very fair and lower compared to other salons in the area. I always get a gel manicure ($35) and regular pedicure ($23). There's plenty of nail colors and brands to choose from. Just a heads up, they don't do acrylics or very intricate designs. I always call to make my appointment and the owner, Joanna, is very accommodating. She's squeezed me in last minute with no issues. I don't recommend coming as a walk-in because they are usually booked. The best nail techs are Joanna and John. I usually go to John. He's gentle, has good attention to detail, and works efficiently. He doesn't rush and ensures I'm happy with my nail length, shape, and color. As a client of over 5 years, I've had a mix of good and bad experiences with other techs. Some are more experienced than others. My biggest pet peeve is getting my cuticles cut, so once that happens... I lose my trust! I'm not as picky with my toes, so I'm happy with any tech doing my pedicure. The ladies are really sweet and make my feet look ~pretty~ The quality of their nail products are great.
