Though the reviews here had my worried at first since it's so mixed. I think it really depends who you are going to. My experience has always been very positive. The pricing is moderate but I think for good nails it's worth paying a good price. I like to get designs so I've paid between $60-80. This is for their new location in Wallington. I personally love trying out new nail salons in the area and was excited for this location to open. I'm not really impressed with this location at all. Pedicure was mediocre. The guy doing my nails could not understand that I wanted my nails cut down more and proceeded to smooth down the top of my toes- WTF?! I also asked for a callus remover- again could not understand me. Eventually he was able to find a bottle and applied very little of the remover then wrapped my feet. After he took the wrapping off he used a pumice to take off the chemical- hmmm I've never had it done like that before. The guy then tried scrubbing off the hard skin (it's really not that bad just wanted fresh feet since summer is over!) on the bottom of my foot... he rubbed so hard that he cut the side of my foot and didn't understand what he did at first. Are you kidding me?! Offered me a bandaid at the end of the pedicure but still. Not a good first impression.. The lady who did my fill in was extremely sweet. My nails came out ok, but here's what got me- the pricing for a fill in! Aside from the normal $28 charge for the fill in there's a $5 reshaped/cut down fee? Never have I ever in the past few years of getting fill ins have I seen this type of fee. Unless I'm desperate to get my nails done, I probably won't return even though I was happy with the way my nails turned out in the end (hence the 3 stars). I just officially moved back to North Jersey and was really excited to book an appointment with him before I went on vacation. I called Aug 22, spoke to a man. Told me David was on vacation but said he would be in from 3:30-6:30PM on Aug 28. I took the 3:30. My vacation was the next day leaving at 6AM. I GOT THREE texts to confirm, one having me click a link to confirm (I included the receipts). Now here is the issue: I get there at 3:15. I am told David is not here, he's on vacation. I showed them the texts... I get told to wait. Another woman comes out and I ask if someone can take me as I am going on vacation tomorrow. She said, and I quote, "no, maybe try one of the other salons" I showed her the messages again and she said no one would have booked them. I told her I spoke to a man and I know for a fact it was NOT David. It wasn't the mix up with his schedule. It was the fact that they just shrugged it off and stared at me like I had 5 heads when I walked in there. I would only go back there for David because he does beautiful quality work. What a great Salon. All the nail techs can do some bomb nails. I got to Daniela. She has done my nails twice and did so good. The shape is so perfect. I hate wide thick nails and she does them just the way I ask. The polish doesn't look to thick. And they are updated with the latest polish, styles and everything. I'm so picky with my nails especially if I'm paying $90 for a set or fill in but it's worth it. I have found my new nail lady and salon. I would not recommend this place at all! I used to go here before the pandemic with awesome Alejandra! I decided hey what the heck, I'll just go since all I want is acrylic on my tiny natural nails. I have been doing my nails with dip powder for the last month and love it! My nails have grown. The night before I'm ready with my entire set up and the first step of the system (the base of the dip powder) doesn't want to open for nothing in the world. Next day I go to beauty shops to see if they sell it and they didn't. Since I had soaked my nails the day before I really didn't want to compromise them by keeping them bare. I said what the heck for the time being I'll go to the salon and get a quick acrylic fill on them! Omg! It was torture! Something that should've taken at most an hour took two!! I wanted to cry! Since I had tried to do the dip powder with regular top coat I had it on all my nails. I literally pulled them off like plastic myself. But the one tech decided she wanted to take the stuff off the pinky herself. Took her 30 min on one pinky nail. Then proceeded to slowly do my nails. I mean 10 minutes each nail. I was horrified. I even took a pic. Thankfully she sent me to her coworker because I needed to get out of that torture chamber asap!!! The next tech does everything super fast. I was like thank goodness. When I get up and ask how much? They charged me $65 to just put acrylic on my own nails. Saying I did a soak which I didn't. When I complained he told me he could only give me back $5 because the first girl had to take off the pinky dip powder (which was peel off, but she insisted she do it). I was so ready to get the hell out of there I didn't have the energy to argue. I should've known this experience was going to be bad! I've had a bad experience before with a pedicure. She also took another customer for my appointment (I had somewhere to be after so I really did not appreciate that) and when I waited for 15 mins I asked how much longer this will take, instead of speaking to me, she looks around and asks if someone else can take me. No apology for running behind. David - great nail artist. But one of the rudest nail techs I've ever met. The first time I had him, he went 30 mins past my appointment time working on someone else's nails (no apology). The second time, he was 30 mins late to the salon (no apology). The third time he was finally on time but when I said hello and sat down, he blatantly ignored me. Not to mention that he's constantly on his phone (literally looks at it between every nail - doubled the time it should've taken to get my nails done) and has to stop to take appointments when there are other qualified employees that can assist. I used to really love this place. There was one girl in particular who slayed my nails each time and I loved her. But I couldn't book her so I went to someone else and had the worst experience of my life. She made my nails thick and chunky and they were uneven and no shape. I went in my car and cried they looked so awful. I finally went back inside and the manager said he would take me the next day to fix them. So I came in the next afternoon, and he did alright. They were still very chunky and weirdly shaped, they just were not right. First time customer, called the day of, they barely had any openings but Angie took me right away as I was her last customer. She did a fantastic job, such attention to detail and if I had made an appointment about a couple of days before I know they would've turned out stunning which was already hard to do considering I loved my gel fill in. It was $35 and $10 to reshape. I got a pedicure too and one of the ladies handed me a little towel to cover my legs just in case I was cold because I was wearing shorts. This place has some creative people who can do any designs BUT the price is ridiculous here. Be sure to ASK HOW MUCH before getting anything done because there's places that charge A LOT LESS! It would be worth the price IF my nails didn't crack or break within a week. I don't do anything strenuous at all so I'm not understanding why they end up cracking. Most salons do hot towels and a quick hand massage but some of the employees here don't even bother, especially the guy in the front. I think he's the owner or part owner. Once again, if the prices here are high (especially for designs) the least they can do are hot towels/massages since almost all salons do it. I've been here twice and the first time was a good experience. My nail tech Valeria was very nice and took her time. She did a nice job! However I went back on Saturday for a refill and Valeria was unavailable. A young man said he would take care of me and honestly I am very underwhelmed with the job he did. He didn't shape my nails like I wanted which was the same shape Valeria gave me. He rushed me off the chair to get a pedicure because he had an appointment come in. Then I get a pedicure and have some of the ladies huddled around which seemed like they were making fun of me or something. I proceeded to tell the young lady that my feet were burning and as a result of the callous removal my feet burned and now have burn marks!! I'm very disappointed because my nails look terrible.
