I absolutely loved my experience here! Let me start off by saying there's parking in the back and I was serviced without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon within 10 minutes. I asked for a gel mani/pedi and was talked into adding a design to my nails (chrome with a gel design). The pricing was reasonable and I will say the space was clean. You can feel technicians were all in sync and created an ambiance where you can just sit down and relax. This is my go to nail spot. Is it the greatest and best? No, but it's inexpensive and they do a pretty decent job. I've never had an issue with any of my manicure/pedicure services. My pedicures are always gel, and manicures used to be gel but I now switched over to powder dip. I like to come early on Saturday morning when they first open as there are barely any customers or wait time. Yes, they take appointments but it's very hard to estimate how many customers a day they will have or how long the services will take. They are popular and busy during the middle of the day so even though you have an appointment there still might be some wait time. If you are a high maintenance diva just go somewhere else. If you want your nails to be perfect, top notch, and don't tip? Go elsewhere. They have limited parking in the rear of the store, and street parking if you're lucky. read more

I went on Monday and on Thursday I realized my gel mani was already chipping!!! This is unacceptable and showing that they're using cheap polish. I've been coming year for 1.5 years now. I always get a spa pedicure, gel manicure with eyebrow wax. They always treat me nicely and made sure I'm comfortable. (Once I had a cough and my manicurist kept getting up to get me water). She also took care of my ingrown toe nails with care. One thing I really like is that if you get a manicure and pedicure combo they give a complimentary minute or two shoulder rub. Unfortunately this place is located with uneasy to please clients. I've seen super diva clients who think their walk ins are more important than someone who made an appointments a week ahead. Who think regular nail polish is the same as gel polish and thinks they should cost the same. It's a shame because the boss and staff tries their hardest to please everyone. The guy that did my eyebrows on 7/24/18 ripped off the skin on my eyelids while doing my eyebrows, he didn't blow on the HOT wax that he put on my eyebrows and than ripped it off and ripped my skin off too. They didn't offer any accommodations or a fucking refund. This place needs to be shutdown. As you can tell in the picture my eyelids are swollen and red. I'm so sorry everyone else had bad experiences here because mine was great! I went in yesterday (a Saturday afternoon) with my mom for a pedicure and we were greeted and seated right away! The woman at the front desk was very nice and the adorable girls who did our pedicures were so sweet! No one was checking their phone while working or engaging in long conversations with coworkers...very professional. My mom had an ingrown toenail and the girl working on her feet was attentive and gentle. I also decided to get a gel manicure before I left and Stephanie did a great job! She was thorough and very friendly! I purchased a $1 membership card to gain points for future visits and they even started me off with the points from my moms services as well! I do not recommend going to this salon due to horrible customer service and mediocre nail servicing skills. I have been to this salon a few times over the past 3 years, and have never received excellent service. I would come here only due to the convenience of the location, but after my last experience here I will never step foot inside the salon again. They do not honor appointments, they will take whoever walks in the door first . I have seen customers express their frustration regarding this issue. Twice I had to wait 30 - 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time because someone else was in the chair. They have a store card which allows you to earn points to receive free services (mani, pedi, eyebrows) but they give you a hard time when you try to redeem and use your points. Lastly, yesterday I went to have my eyebrows done and the owner made a mistake. When I tried to explain to her how I wanted them fixed, she began to argue with me and gave me a difficult time. (eventually I got her to correct it) The worst customer service! I would highly suggest avoiding this salon! read more

Anna and Bertha are great here! They take their time, and are super sweet. They shape, polish, and give the besttttttt massages. They have all different types of spa pedis too. I as well feel sorry for those who had a bad experience here. It was my 1st time at this salon and I was very satisfied. I received the green tea or oil pedicure that came with a nice leg massage. Every pedi station has a massage chair. My toes looked very nice and done by a polite woman. My manicure was done by the owner which was rather friendly. Many people came through the the door greeting her as they've been here several times and are pretty happy with there choice. I would like to start by saying Nail House started out as a beautiful salon Peter the original shop owner was amazing & served GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE to his clients & patrons! ! ! Peter your presence is truly missed! With that being said, every few years there is new management, it is common for the Asian community to come to the U.S on 1-2 year work visa's make a lil cash & take they ishhh to go(no problem with that) get your shhmoney ! But it is wrong them to assume (Periodt) ! I am a day one customer/client & this has been my go to salon for pedicures! I used to get up gel w/Peter but when new management took over, I took my money elsewhere. One things for certain to thing for sure I work very hard for my money & I refuse to feed it to newbies/money hungry ppl that could care less about customer service. Idc, if you don't talk my head bc I hate small talk as long as you get the job done I'm straight & tipping accordingly. With that being said over the years there has been a series of new owners and pedi ladies... fortunately Olga is the only one able to weather the storm & stand 10 toes down. Now, I walked in this past Wed 3/13/19 for the mani pedi special which is now $22 started out as $18 no biggie.. just wanted to reinstate my loyalty/longevity with this establishment! I walked in at 1 pm on the dot stated what service I was interested in & Lutha looked up made a hand gesture & told me to, "Pick a color." Never stating how long the wait was I picked a color and asked which pedicure station will I be seated at... Thankfully this time Olga was available but she told me I had to wait 15 mins, I said np I would like to soak until then. I'm a stylist myself & being on my feet all day could I use some extra hydration lol...No biggie I was in no rush this was my only day off until Sunday(which they're closed).. she'd been finishing up her previous pedicure & was going to do a simple mani so I had no quarrels. @ about 1:33 we began my service and everything was going great.. until we began my manicure.. I get my uv gel service done at fine touch nails or I do it myself... with that being said I wanted my cuticles cut bc you cannot do it while applying UV gel. She understood soaked and cleaned my cuticles... no shaping of the nail or buffing. I didn't make a fuss bc I was just happy to have her services. But then once she started applying the color she was rushing and had way to much polish on the brush which made my nails thick and unfavorable. I allowed it and opted to let them dry for 20 mins. Around 3:15 I had to go.. my toenails should have been long dried at this point, so I left and but forgot my phone.. they didn't even try to catch me walking across the street to my car (cool maybe they hadn't noticed) as I arrived to my next location I realized I'd left it and went straight back... when I walked in I asked/stated I'd left my phone.. Lutha looks up & shakes her head no. I simply said yes I did & Olga yelled out from the back, yes she did!! It's on the table. I grabbed it and left a little after 4p.m. When I got home I saw a bunch of little dink's in my nails and when I slid my uggs off both my big toes were messed up.. so I called & let Olga know.. she said I can come back at 5:30 but that it was very busy and if I could come at 9:30a.m Thursday morning would be better. So reluctantly agreed but I had to be to work at 10a.m Thursday-Saturday so... I never made it in. Now today, Saturday 3/16/19 I got off work early so I decided to grab my flip flops and run over, keep in mind I no longer live in Hackensack and I'm about 15-20 mins away.. I walked in shower Olga my nails and told her I was gonna remove the polish while I wait. Again I was in no rush.. but this lady Lisa came over and insisted on repainting them so I allowed it. WRONG DECISION. Not only was she trying to tell me to change the color but trying to up sell and telling me I should do gel. I declined her offer bc I typically finish with a gel top coat and practice nail art on my nails in my free time. She told Lutha in their language & they laughed at me! Tuh, I'm the wrong one Miss. so I told her kindly, don't be rude or judge... she then said well next time 3 days is to long to come back.. I told her I tried to come sooner and it didn't work so! Here I am.(Periodt) she then complained the color I wanted "take it outside " by Essie was to thick and I should choose OPI.. the color I had on my feet. I know what I like redirected her to apply the Essie I wanted and she started packing it on while using acetone to thin it out! I was so annoyed by that I expressed it but she didn't care. So I opted not to tip Lisa. Bc a tip is for customer service & although she took care of me upon arrival she was rude the entire time and was talking about my choices in another language. I have been coming to this location since when the previous owner was still there 2 years ago, however new owners seem very nice also. It is a convenient location and people are always coming in and seem satisfied by the services they offer. I usually get my eyebrows cleaned and they do a good job at that. I am a person that is always on the go with my son so I cannot make an appointment in case things come up last minute but they always take me as I'm walking in through the door which is great for me. Horrible!! The girl who was to do my pedicure was trying to use the same instruments used on the person before me. She had them in the glass with the disinfectant for a couple of minutes and that was it. I told her that I was not gong to use them if they were not clean. She cleaned them with bleach and then but them in the machine to disinfect. She did not really seem to know how to do a proper pedicure and was so ruff using the pumice stone at one point I had to tell her to stop. She was not scrubbing with it, she was just hitting it against my foot. Needless to say, I probably won't be back there again, and if I do I will get someone else! read more

I went back for a fix, I was charged for it. which may be okay, but when the nail that was fixed is bigger that the original nail, not smooth at all and the so called gel nail polish is coming off, that is another level of incompetent. If I could rate a negative star, I would. The esthetician, (if you would even call her that) used an electric nail buffer to remove my prior gel polish. Anyone who gets gel manis knows how bad this is for your nails. In doing so, she literally shaved off the top layer of each of my natural nails- the result? Every single one of my nails has split and broken - some well below the finger tip, causing excruciating pain. Some actually bled and scabbed. I'm totally disgusted by these people and they should lose their license to provide nail services if they're so lazy that they choose to maim their clients versus taking the time to perform their jobs safely and correctly. You couldn't pay me to go back to these people and I'll be filing complaints with the board of health as well as the BBB- if you wanna roll the dice with your hands and fingernails- by all means, visit these hacks- if not- visit one of the other zillion nail salons in the immediate area and keep your fingernails safe and far away from these a holes. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in for a new acrylic set. She told me that it would be $35 for regular and I thought it was a reasonable price. As she started doing my nails and "filling" them in, I noticed that some were pointing left, some were round, and some were coffin shaped; mind you I asked for almond shape. Then she started filing my nail and used a machine. Omg, she slipped so many times, the nail bed is completely uneven, my nail started to burn because she went in too deep and on top of that I got cut. My nails are now bumpy, uneven, different shape and all. So I asked them to take them off because they were just disgusting. The woman that did my nails complained and I basically had to beg her to take them off completely and give me a basic shape. She did square nails that looks bulky and to the side. Now one of my nail is completely pink and insanely soft from slipping with the "sanding" machine. read more

I just nervously laughed.... Got into the wax room, the pillow had old hair and wax stains on it. I asked for it to be covered before I lay down, she did it. I then noticed that she started using the same stick over and over. I downgraded to just half leg. I noticed she was pulling in two diff directions, my leg hairs do not grow in two diff directions... she cut my when giving me my manicure, I haven't been cut in YEARS... then time to go, I'm giving out my $10 tip to each person that serviced me and the same woman points and reminds me that another lady did my daughter manicure and that I should tip her... extremely money hungry over there!
