I had a better experience than my friend. My friend had Sandy who seemed to be recommended by a lot of people. I had Thuy. She did a great job! I had my nails done by technician. She did a good job when I had my fills but when I asked to remove my gel she was not happy. She barely removed them and I even left her a tip. I had to pay extra to go elsewhere to remove them again. Awful. read more

My occasional treat to myself! I have been coming to Uni Nail Salon for about a year now and they never disappoint! My nails always come out perfect and last for over FOUR weeks! All of the ladies are amazing and always makes me feel super comfortable. The salon is super chic, always clean and well ran! They have amazing pedicure options as well that will put your entire body at ease. They have a huge selection of nail polish to choose from (regular and gel base) and do beautiful design work! Sandy gives the absolute best gel manicure in the area! She is kind and quick, my gel lasts for over 3 weeks without chipping, and underneath the gel, my nails stay healthy and strong. Breaks my heart writing this review. They work too fast, I went in for an almond shape short tip with gel manicure and gel pedicure. The manicure was terrible, she didn't clean the cuticles, and the way she did the nails they came out fat and different shapes she didn't take her time to perfect it. Very upsetting. I was so displeased with the manicure that I asked for regular pedicure. I'm not one to cause a scene not my thing I just write reviews for others to know. It hurts because I moved from New York City to New Jersey and wanted to find a nail spot here but definitely not worth it. This is more a spot for kids or elderly a simple paint and go. Was very displeased won't come back again. I've posted pics for you to see the results. I'm addition, they don't use acrylic they use poly gel I guess but the receptionist had a beautiful nails and before I left I asked her who did her nail she said the same lady that did mine but I just don't see it. If it was thinner it would look more natural and if she spent a little more energy and time focused on shape she would have done a great job but she was in a rush as if she had to do something. She was late for her appointment, was extremely rude, and didn't say anything to them that she has an issue with having a gentleman perform a pedicure for her. Caroline, your lack of respect and tone made us all very uncomfortable and confused. You were clearly late for your appointment. The workers were so sweet while attending to you and no one understood why you were so loud and huffy. You ruined my relaxation. It takes a lot for strangers to come on Yelp and reply but that's how bad your behavior was. If you had an issue with a male technician you should've just said so. New favorite place for pedicures. It's relaxing and quiet, they listen to exactly what you want. I don't like my toes too short most places chop them all the way down, the nail techs here actually listen when I ask them not to cut too short or file only. They give the perfect square shape, amazing massages included with the spa pedicure. I have acrylic nails so I can't speak for the manicures but they are usually busy so I'm assuming those are great too. So far I've seen Mike & Twee and both are amazing. I went here with my best friend for a girl's hour to take a breather while my toddler napped at home with daddy. And it was thebombdotcom. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure while my bff got a top notch spa pedicure. The lady who did my nails was super tedious and gentle with my manicure while making nice conversation as well as the lady who did my pedicure (whom I think was the owner). The lady who did my feet was VERY gentle with my big toenail that had been cut short because I had chipped it says before. She managed to file it to look almost perfect without discomfort. We had such a great time chatting and laughing together as they were so so so nice! We never felt rushed and they were seriously so meticulous with the cuticles! I don't typically talk to my stylist/ nail techs very much but my bff def brought out such great conversation out of them. My bff was super happy with her pedicure-- she seriously looked like she was given a new set of feet ;). She lives in NY and wants to go back asap. I will definitely be returning as I've never loved a salon experience like this before. Hopefully I can go back sooner than later Covid and toddler willing! My cousin was visiting from California and we both hadn't had manis/pedis for 6 months so we were both really excited to try this place based on the positive reviews. Sadly, we were extremely disappointed. One star because the place was decorated nicely and was clean, with stations separated by plastic coverings. We booked an appointment for 2 at 10:30am, and even arrived earlier than our appt time at 10:18am. We were asked to sit down on the spa chairs and given the polish book to choose our nail colors. One of the ladies that was supposed to be doing our nails kept looking outside the store as if she was waiting for someone to arrive. It only took us 3 min to choose our color but the lady kept saying, "Sorry, were waiting for someone. She's not here yet, too much traffic." 15 minute passed after our appointment and they still hadn't started working on either of us. We told them we had another appointment after this so we were on a time crunch and they just kept apologizing saying she'd be here in "ten minutes". 30 minutes had gone by at this point and still no one started working on us and they were still apologizing to us saying "ten more minutes". We asked if someone could get started on my pedi bc my cousin wasn't getting a pedi, but the lady said that the one on her way was going to do my pedicure. When she finally arrived 45 minutes after our appointment time, she wasn't even the one who did my pedicure! The lady that was standing there for the last 45 min did my pedicure. The lady who arrived did my cousins mani and my cousin said she felt like she was rushing throughout the service. She said it was the quickest manicure she's received and she even got extensions done. Another lady who I believe to be the owner started working on my manicure while my pedicure was being done, and I felt like she was rushing the service too. She cut the cuticle on my thumb too deeply that it was bleeding after I left. The whole time we were there, they just kept apologizing. We would rather they have told us that it was going to take about 45 minutes until we'd be seen and set realistic expectations instead of asking us to wait 10 minutes more every 15 minutes. Pretty disappointing, especially bc the service itself wasn't the greatest. We tipped for formality but they truly didn't deserve it. read more

I decided to give it a try for this newly opened location this afternoon. Luckily I was able to grab an appointment without any hardships. I came in for a mani and pedi promotion for 27 dollars. I also saw that they have a promotion for pedi with gel nails for 45 dollars. Thuy did my pedi and I'm in love. The price seems reasonable and the place is fully sanitized and maintained that way. I'm just very upset. I choose Uni nails for its great reviews and was sure I'd be in good hands. I asked the nail technician if it were possible to do a French ombré with dip powder (some salons know how and some don't which is totally fine). I was assured it wouldn't be a problem. I got my nails done and thought the process was a bit interesting but they came out nicely. However as I looked more closely I am seeing different variations of some shiny nails.. some matte. I ONLY ever get dip powder so I know how the process works and I know how the end result will turn out. It hasn't even a been a week and I have cracks and chips on and through alllll of my nails. I leave for vacation tomorrow and I look a wreck It's a shame because I paid extra money for the ombré with dip. My friend got a gel and it came out and has stayed beautifully. Just please don't tell a client you can do something when it can't be done properly. read more

I got a pedicure and UV gel set here. The pedicure was good, no problem with that. However, the same lady who did my pedicure did my UV gel set and I knew even before I left the salon, I would hate my nails, despite my efforts to ask her to fix some things. First, she glued tips on and didn't use nail forms. The tips were glued on at a weird angle too, so my nails stick out at the ends. Then, the UV gel was put on so thick and even when she filed them down, they were still thick and bumpy, and the lengths were not even at all. I had to ask her multiple times to file them shorter and even. I asked for coffin shape but the ends are thicker than the base. The color gel on top was painted so bumpy that it's obvious. It doesn't have to be perfect because I'm not THAT picky but it wasn't even close to what I had gotten at other salons. I'm sure their other services are ok, but I wouldn't recommend the UV gel here read more
