I just spend 17 dollar to get a basic Manicure. The worse I have ever had, it has not been an hour and the polish is already coming off. I am so discussed by this. And to think I gave the tech a tip. Never will go to this place again. read more

We have been going to this nail salon for years but today is the last time. My husband and I have an appointment for two pedicures, two manicures and two wax eyebrows. I was in the wax room finishing with my service and my husband waiting and they take someone else first that came in after. I felt so disrespected and hurt after all the money we spend there. We have told everyone in our building to stop going there due to being disrespected. So embarrassed for this salon read more

Beware it's not posted anywhere in the shop but was told verbally after using my credit card that I could've gotten a &5 discount if I paid cash. I sad where is it posted is like to ask the manager when I asked her, Kathy she said if you look around it's like that at salons. When I said I think that's against the law she said no we do it for our favorites. That's kind of crazy. read more

Loved this whole experience! We didn't have an appointment, and the shop was busy that day. They still managed to fit us in without making us feel like we were being squeezed in. The gel manicure came out great! Really nice color selection, it was quick and it lasted a long time in great condition. The gel pedicure was the best! I did not expect to also get a full blown calf/foot massage with the pedicure. The girls were great and they made my toe nails look great and adorable even though my nails are tiny. The price was a little high, but considering I got gel pedicure, manicure, and a full blown calf/ foot massage, it was a great price. read more

The owner and the manicurist/pedicurist were very pleasant and efficient in giving me a manicure and a pedicure (including callus and ingrown toe nail removals at the last minute/with no prior appointment being made by me since I was a walk-in. They even didn't object to the fact that I had my son's dog with me! They and the customers were delighted with the dog and played with him. read more

I really love this place. Due to the virus, they have all the safety social distances with clients for pedicures and manicures. Chair massage is gone. You have to make an appointment first. Upon arrival, they take your temperature, wear gloves and they sanitize everything while you are in there and clean!! The staff and owner are super nice, polite and Do a great job!! read more

Great service and caring. clean and priced well. Suggest calling ahead for a reservation

Julia is the absolute best! Pricy place but she makes it worth the money. I always get a gel pedicure and her massage is unmatched.

I'm only giving one star because of the technician that provided the service. However the owner are extremely unwelcoming and super rude.

Solely Nails Is my favorite go to in Fort Lee. Besides doing a wonderful job, the vibe is warm welcoming and positive.

Came here with my aunt last-minute for pedicures ($25) and they were able to seat us within 35 minutes. They were able to squeeze us right before closing. The ladies who did our pedicures were friendly and did a clean, thorough job. I was worried that since we were their last customers they wouldn't put in as much effort but that wasn't the case. They put in every ounce of energy and care, which I greatly appreciated! The massage chairs were exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable to sit in. It was such a great stress reliever. I also really enjoyed the scrub they used on my legs! It really exfoliated and softened my skin. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for over 10 years - I love the job they do. My gel manicures last over three weeks without even a chip, same for regular manicures. You could literally go to anyone here (I have because I've been going so long lol) and still love your mani pedi! read more

"I grew up in the Bay so I down to Earth," and Frisco girls only pay $18-$22 for a mani / pedi. So when I came to Soleil for the first time and shelled out a whopping $30 for this combo I almost had cardiac arrest. But I did leave with gorgeous nails. Not to mention I got to spend a good amount of time lounging in oh so comfy, over sized massage chairs while having my legs scrubbed and then rubbed down in aloe vera before having my heels soaked in this soothing warming solution that removes dead skin on your heels. It really is rather luxurious because I ended up coming here again and again while I lived in the area. Soleil is clean, they have a great selection of colors, and staff is very friendly. Any time I was in a rush I would have two gals pampering me. My nails always came out perfect. I just wish salons in North Jersey had San Francisco prices. read more

My favorite nail salon! I have gone to many different nail salons but this has got to be my favorite! Friendly, organized, and great service with the nails! Also, I get color gel manicures and sometimes (at other places) they don't even last a week, but at this salon, my color gel manicure can legitimately last up to 2 weeks! Call for a reservation, and ask for Jenny! read more

Horrible place, dirty and unsafe. I got an infection right after I got my nails done. The staff is rude and unfriendly. I do not recommend this place. Very bad experience read more

My friend and I have been meeting up at this nail salon couple times a year since 2008. Despite mixed reviews we generally are pleased with the service. In the past year or so, I've noticed an almost complete turnover in people working there. My satisfaction level decreased over time but why look for a new place when it's still working for you right? WRONG I should have looked for a new salon to have my quarterly dates! During the last visit, I wanted callus removal treatment but I asked my nail technician if I can get since I have a crack on my heel. The callus removal is so potent that it is not advised to be used on broken skin. The nail technician said its okay and once she applied it, it BURNED! She's giving me this is normal look. Another nail technician (I presume to be the owner) saw our interaction and came by to check on us. She felt my foot and immediately tells the nail tech to wash it off. This happened to me once before that's why I knew to ask and after thinking hard, I realized it was Soleil - this is what prompted me to write this review. I went to other nail salons where the nail tech told me that they can't use callus removal because my feet is cracked. Here is my dilemma - why is a nail technician allowed to use callus removal when she clearly does not know all the precautions? This is completely unacceptable. read more

Lots of customers, but surprisingly, just as many workers. Full Review: I tend to be extremely picky about the nail salons I go to, mostly cause I worked at one (during summers through college) and got to learn a lot about service, quality and how much time they spend on you. I think if this is a service you frequent, you can tell very quickly whether or not the person that is doing your nails cares or not, expects a good tip or not. This is unfortunate, cause their judgment affect how you respond and tip. However, Soleil was a very pleasant experience. They (actually, the person working on me - cause the 2 ladies next to me were rushing their pedicure services like .. unacceptably.) were attentive, asked me my opinion and were generally very kind. I got a pedicure, a chair massage, and eye brow waxing. Being that waxing can make or break your face (!!), I was glad she did exactly what I wanted, and the chair massage was great. Even on a random weekday lunch break, this place was full, with a wait! - hard to see these days.. The prices are also more than reasonable. read more

Ive been coming to this nail salon for 4 years. Theirs alot of pros and cons about this place. The pros are, the cleanliness, big selection of colorful regular and gel nail polish, most of the ladies that work at the WHITEMAN PLAZA location do good pedicures and manicures. But thats it. The cons are, customer service is OK dont expect them to roll out the red carpet for you and the service is worse when its busy unless your some type of VIP customer. Not all the Koreans know how to do a good gel manicure especially french at this location. So if you like the way one of them did your french gel manicure make sure you ask her what her name is so that you can make an appointment with her in the future. I think one or two of the ladies that work their know how to do nail designs and that sucks. Nail designs are very popular and its unfortunate that none of them know how to do designs. But for the most part they do a good job and thats why I continue to go to this place. read more

Have been going here for two years The place has gone down the drain in the last six months, My pedicure was terrible, When I complained to the management I got this answer...... "If I don't like go somewhere else" Guess what! That's what I did! read more

My friend made her appointment at this salon for a manicure so I thought why not, I'll join! I went for my appointment and needed a soaking to get gel off and a regular manicure afterwards. My manicurist from the beginning didn't have her head on straight. I'm Korean and I'm overhearing their conversation. The employees and the manager are all talking about drama between the workers. I didn't mind this bc it could happen-whatever, but if it's going to ruin the service I'm paying for its a problem. My lady messed up while filing my nails down before wrapping them in the foil, skipping a couple nails while filing. If I didn't catch her not filing some down she would've just wrapped them in the foil even though they clearly weren't filed down yet. She also didn't file them down enough blaming the way the gel manicure was done when I never have a problem getting them filed down every two weeks from the salon I always go to. Another mistake was painting on the manicure. I had fiji by essie and I understand it's a difficult color. But if it's difficult and comes out with streaks why not ask someone else to finish it for her? She also did a terrible job filing the shape I asked for. I can't speak for other people and maybe it was an off-day for her. Whatever it is, I won't be coming back. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say the service was exceptional. The place is small and quiet which I prefer. They take me right away without an appointment. My nail tech actually takes the time to massage the lotion into my legs instead of just wiping it away with a towel like most other places. She is also very friendly and accommodating. The place is pretty pricey compared to others in the area. $49 for gel manicure and regular pedicure, however I think it is well worth it. read more

For $20, I got my toe nails painted...and that's about it. I asked for my heels to be scraped with a pumice stone, but was told that I would need to come back and get a callous treatment. I got home, used a stone on my heels, and finished my pedicure myself. And I scraped off a tremendous amount of dead skin. The place is suprisingly busy, but customers are rushed out. I sat in the pedicure chair with my purse and sweatshirt on my lap...not exactly a relaxing experience in 95 degree weather. I stopped there because I was in the area, but, I wont be returning. read more

Trust the poor reviews. I went here just to save a few bucks since their price special was better than my usual spot, but that was a huge mistake. First the pedicure lady had the water for my pedicure SO incredibly hot when I put my feet in I almost screamed. Trust me, I enjoy hot water when getting pedis, but you would think they were trying to boil my feet. No apologies by the front lady (my soon to be manicurist) who came to fix the water with cold water. I gave the benefit of the doubt, but now this rude mani lady/manager started my mani as I stayed in the pedi chair. She only had the chance to cut 2 nails because when she cut the skin on both my fingers back to back, I knew it was time to trust the other Yelpers & get the hell out of there. That's when I said I'm leaving & she rudely waved her hand in front of my face and motioned for me to go. I told her that explains the reviews on Yelp & that she has a nasty attitude. That type of arrogance isn't going to get her business anywhere. Stick with the reviews and don't waste your time. Besides unprofessional attitude, they literally don't even know how to safely do a proper pedi & mani. Glad I left. Been going to Estee Ann's on Palisades Ave in Fort Lee for years. Don't know why I felt like experimenting elsewhere, but if you guys have a place you love, just stick with it!! Lesson learned. read more

Will never come anymore. The lady is pretty rude! She did not know how to treat her customers! I came here this afternoon for the fourth time. And they told me there was no wait. So I sat down for a gel color removal and gel manicure! I showed her a design and she said yes. She did not ask me anything and picked ugly colors. She did not remove my gel color completely, and she skipped soaking into the hot water... procedures. Then I asked, and she replied very impatiently with words that we could not understand. She did not speak good english so we could communicate well. After that, I told her that I would like to choose colors by myself. The lady stared at me and threw colors to me and left. Yes, she just left! Left without other words and began to do other people' nails. I was like what a f**k was she doing. I found her for explanations and she seemed like not wish to say things to me. Ok I said fine, I will not do today. And the lady said then 5 dollars today for gel removal! I said ok but please kindly remove well then. The lady seemed angry and looked at in a weird facial expression!! She did not remove my gel and base color correctly at the end. I left and I won't come anymore. You lost a loyal customer! What a pity! read more

The absolute WORST manicure I ever got!! The place looks sketchy to begin with and half way thru my manicure I realized that NO ONE has any certificates posted!! They are pure ammatures! I was desperate to get my nails done today because my usual place which I love, the girl was off. So I took someone's recommendation and what a mistake that was!!! They have a special because it's under new management supposedly. ..these people should be shut down!! No certificates, nothing was sterilized, the woman couldn't even file my nails evenly!! I am sooooooo frustrated right now...what a horrible place! I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place!! Stay away!!!!!!!! read more

Have had numerous bad experiences here over the last few years but this one really takes the cake. Came in for mani and pedi. After pedi, the mani girl started to do my mani her attitude was SO nasty that it was appalling. Really mean look on her face, was very rough with my nails. After i asked her to be a bit more gentle, she got mad and cut me on purpose where i started to bleed. After I complained, noone apologized and nothing. I confronted her on her behavior and just stormed out. Never coming back and u shouldnt either. Complete shame! read more

This place does a decent job, not great. But it was convenient so I went again. Once I thought they had a bad attitude, but I tacked it up to a bad day.
