Chin wax which the owner & my girl was talking to the salon owner in Korean & the owner comes over to me and started to tell me "Don't worry I give you a good price,,,well she charged me $60!For a chin wax and and then I went there again a few weeks later and she wanted $70. Then I left and went to another salon down the road a little bit and it was 25$ and a they did a much better job so I will not be going back there anymore! This feels like a total scam I just wanted to share something that happened a couple of weeks ago when my daughter went to Family Nail for a manicure and pedicure. I'm really shocked by it! It feels like they're taking advantage of the fact that parents aren't around to challenge the charges. They charged my credit card $219.49, and I can't believe they let a minor spend that much money, especially since it's not her car! Whenever I see a kid with a credit card, I always ask for ID if the parent isn't there because it just feels off. I use to love this place it was my go to salon very clean and friendly staff but the last few times I went I felt completely ripped off. I paid for services I didn't even know I received. Polish that is supposed to make your nails healthier, nail hardener, massage , and special treatments during a pedicure. I understand if these services were asked for but I never agreed to them. The prices become outrageous and it's so uncomfortable to confront them because they just spent the service period complimenting you telling you how pretty you are and how you have nice hair and eyes. I have never been so infuriated after leaving a nail salon. On the 11th, I got a powder manicure. I thought they looked great and that the woman did a great job, however, I was confused as to why I was given a gel top coat and had to use the UV light. I have gotten powder for the last four years and I get it to not use the UV light. On the 12th, my nail broke and I didn't have time to get it fixed that day, so I got it fixed on the 13th. I told the owner that I was upset that my nails didn't even last a day and that I had to use the UV light. She expressed to me that's how her salon did powder and that i can come in whenever to get my nails fixed. Throughout the next week, all of my nails started to break. Not only was I upset about them breaking, but also that my real nails have now broken down to the skin of my nail. Today, the 20th, I went in and asked for the powder to be removed. I was given a hard time doing the removal and told multiple times that they broke because my nails are weak and it's just from regular wear. I expressed that I have gone four weeks with a powder manicure with no issues and I didn't even last one day, let alone a week, without a nail breaking. Throughout our conversation, I felt very belittled due to the tone the woman was taking with me. Lastly, the day I received a powder manicure, I also got a regular polish pedicure. My toes are all still good and none are chipped. Typically, you would see a regular polish chip faster and easier than a powder manicure, but that simply was not the case. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to the salon. I have attached two photos of my nails after 9 days. Each nail has either a chip on the corners or is completely broken. I AM ECSTATIC that Family Nails has reopened! Sam and Grace have kept the salon in tip top shape. If you are a Family Nails client, you know how often Sam cleans! So now, Sam took it to another level...round the clock, you can find him disinfecting all chairs/tables with alcohol! And as you can see in the pictures, there are barriers between each manicure and pedicure station. All new UV lamps. AND, they even have a consent for the clients to sign! Face shields/double masks worn by the staff. BEWARE!!!! Was a loyal customer. Went there today, after 16 months without a manicure. The owner recognized me & was saying how much she missed me. Started giving me a massage. She asked for a timer, she set to 25 mins. She starts AGAIN telling me how much she missed me & how I have such "beautiful eyes." & I am "sooooo pretty." I ask what the timer is for & she says "it's $25 for 25 min massage." Did I ask for a massage? Were you gonna tell me you were gonna charge me? I should've walked out at that point, but I politely said "no thank you." She seemed pissed & walked away. My mani was quick, like 15mis quick. No soak...hardly any cuticle cut. I did the infinite shine OPI. The owner was making nail tech to rush, so she told her to use a quick dry (off brand) instead of the proper 3rd step in the process. I felt bad for the tech because I came in at end of the day, so not holding that against her. Here comes the doozy... The owner says to me (while I'm under the dryer) That she needs payment. (Why didn't I pay before my nails are wet?!) She asks if she can go in my purse! Ummmm NO...so like a jerk I let her. She starts looking through my wallet & says "you have money in here?!." Not her business...I have cash for tip & using card for service. Showed her which card to use... She proceeds to charge me $20 for a manicure! Never told me the charge until after I asked. I became seriously irate, asking for the reason for a $20 mani that was 20 mins...she said it was because I "came late & got the OPI infinity polish." Ummmm.....wtf?! That polish is usually another $2-5 depending on salon. She's a gross business owner, trying to rip people off...won't be back. Absolute slime ball. the first two times i went here were so nice. they gave me a discount and a $5 coupon for my first time being there and some free lotion. TODAY, though, I was overcharged for a bad set and experience. Not only are my nails uneven and rounded on the edges when I asked for coffin, but the lengths of the tips are uneven and the polish is patchy. the woman who applied my nails, Grace, put so much glue on that my almost all of the tips were stuck to my skin. when she pushed the tips on, it burned so bad that I actually thought i was being chemically burned from the dry nail spray in combo with the glue. i will not be returning, and the only reason i didn't give this one star is for the first 2 trips. read more

I found this place based on the positive yelp reviews and decided to give it a shot since they had so many coupons on their site. I liked the fact they listed all their services with the prices so you can get an idea of what price to pay since most salons in the area don't do that. The service is very friendly! The owners and also my technician Nikki were outgoing and made occasional conversation but nothing overbearing. I loved how my nails came out even though I didn't get what I originally came for (holographic ombré with coffin shape) although they still did an excellent job with the shape and length to my desire (I got light pink with minimal sparkles and a coffin shape) They have your average color selection with some other cute designs and I appreciate that they are honest whether they can accommodate your requests or not (I've been to nail salons where I would ask for a design they didn't know and would say they can do it then it ends up a disaster lol) Something important to note is to be specific about what service you're getting; I said I wanted new tips as listed on their site for $50 (acrylic I'm guessing) but they thought I meant UV gel tips ($100 but I got 30% off). Although I didn't mind at all in the end since they took extra care in detail to make my nails gorgeous :) Other good parts: very sanitary with no chemical smell in the salon, lots of parking behind the salon, received a $5 off coupon afterwards! When I explained to them that they didn't bring a friend along , they had a surprised look as if I was lying to them about this random person that they said walked in the same time my daughters did. Was driving to my usual nail salon when I saw a sign "$40 for a gel manicure and pedicure". So I said why not only because I knew there was going to be a wait at my usual spot. I stopped in. The place was modern and clean. Plenty of good quality colors to choose from. They greeted me right away. I was very impressed, all the files and buffers were disposable as well as the liner for the pedicure basin. This is essential for me. The lady who did my toes put in a lot of effort. There was even a stone massage included in the regular pedicure. I was super impressed. Onto the gel manicure. Everything about it was perfect. Overall I had a wonderful experience. I had a men's mani/pedi ($32) with callous removal ($10 extra). Here are some observations: 1. Salon is brand spanking new - just opened in May. It is bright, cheerful, and clean with strong wifi and nice music. 2. Staff is courteous and pleasant. There was no communication problems, something I've encountered elsewhere.
