A local salon with a spa feel. I have gone to this salon location since one opened here over 10 years ago. I find a technician I like and see them regularly. My nail beds are sensitive and I stick with someone who can make my nails look good and not hurt me. I get compliments on my manicures all the time. The current owner/manager Michelle is friendly. She's always hustling, not in a bad way. (Why don't you get a massage?, You should try our new facialist!, etc). They do offer A LOT of services and have private rooms for waxing, facials, eyelashes, etc. What I love about the place is it is relatively quiet and relaxing. People are asked to keep cell phone use short, children do not come in and get noisy, there is no TV. Kids are great but grown-ups are allowed some peace and quiet in some places. I came here to get a gel mani pedi for my wedding at around 10am. They were made aware the nails were for my wedding the next day. My appointment was obviously rushed which hugely impacted the quality, as both services were completed and I was out the door by 10:30am. This was evident when the following day, on the day of my wedding, two of my finger nails chipped halfway through my pre-ceremony photos (approx. 2:30pm). Additionally, the polish was completely chipped and gone from one of my toes by around 6pm. A gel manicure and pedicure should last more than 24 hours, especially when you're made aware it is for an immensely important occasion for the client. The only positive about my experience is the salon appeared clean. Would not return or recommend to others. read more

I went to this nail salon on a whim, as I was in the area and was not going to be near my home salon anytime soon. I typically stick to simple colors of powder, as they are always the easiest to "paint" (no designs or different colors on each nail). Since I was trying a new salon, I figured I would try a new design. The removal of my old powder nail polish took a little longer, and I do believe she filed my nail bed too thin, as my fingers now hurt. I chose to a powder manicure, with a gel design. I didn't quite understand the process, as when I've been to other salons, powder does not require the UV light. At this salon, I was instructed to put my nails under the light after each dip. After the powder had been applied, she worked on my design (as pictured below). I was really happy at first with my design, however upon further look, all of the lines look different on each nail. I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's a real person painting on a nail and not a person putting a sticker, so there's always room for error. I'm not sure if I will be returning, since I do have a regular salon at home. I went to Nail Avenue after having been away to going to salons for over 1 1/2 years. When I made the appointment online I was told that it was $35 for a mani-pedi combo. When I got there I decided to do the callus removal and was told that it was an extra $10. When I went to pay, the lady who was in charge there told me it was $50 but didn't explain why. And then I told her that when I confirmed the appointment online for the Manny combo it would be 35 but she said she is charging me $50 which I think is not right because they should have explained to me beforehand. I do want to mention that if you want the disposable nail file etc. that it's an extra $5 which I think all nail salons should be using disposable nail files and buffers as it is easy to get a fungal infection if they're not cleaned properly as every use. read more

I don't ever give reviews, but am really bothered with my experience going here. The only reason Im giving one star is because my pedicure came out ok. I had to get a fill in and it came out horrible!! Parts of some nails weren't filled in correctly, lumpy, and not the shape I had asked for. It also seemed like no one knew how to do a nail design that I had picked from their own designs! I didnt say anything because I was in a rush and it had looked ok from a glance and I also have terrible anxiety. The only good thing about going there was that it was clean. I feel this may be my new go to spot for manicures. I made an appointment same day, and they were able to take me, I went after work. The nail salon is pretty spacious inside and very very clean. Huge selection of nail polishes to choose from. Brands like OPI and Essie etc. They also do mini massages, reflexology for pedicures and lash extensions. My nail tech was Zoila, she was simply amazing. I told her my cuticles were sensitive and she took her time and really took care of my nails. She has good technique and hands. Her polish application was articulate. I definitely will be coming back and requesting an appointment with her. The salon uses a fresh new clipper, cuticle pusher set from a package which is awesome. I like the convenience of being able to request an appt on Yelp but that is the only part of this experience I enjoyed. Strike 1- I think it's rude to stop in the middle of performing a service on one client to go do another. The owner came over and instructed Sylva to stop doing my mother's nails and go work on someone else's. She did not return until she completely finished with the other client. That made my blood boil and i expressed my discontent. Strike 2- Too many people working on one service and only one person can do designs (Wednesdays only). Messy powder finish. When Maria was halfway done with my nails the owner told her to stop and i had to move to her chair so she could finish my nails. This seemed okay until she actually started dipping my fingers. The finish was anything but smooth and very messy. I thought she would fix it during the filing but never did. Third Strike: The owner is also the receptionist/manager. She kept stopping to give other people direction, answer the phone, sign for packages and collect payments/schedule appointments. It's annoying and ruins the experience. To make matters worst I watched her hand $5 coupons to the customers before me. That was the final slap in the face. My mother and i spent almost $200 on our services and received nothing. I left feeling unsure of if i did something wrong and more confused than relaxed. I've always wanted to try out eyelash extensions so, when a friend of mine got hers done here I thought I'd give it a try. (I've heard my share of horror stories, when it comes to extensions, so I was pretty apprehensive) BUT I am so happy that I did: Hannah is amazing! She is very sweet and gentle, I was so comfortable the whole time that I almost fell asleep! The best part? I LOVE my extensions. I was driving through Oradell when I decided to get myself a manicure + massage. I am so happy I stopped by. I was immediately greeted by the employees and the owner, Michelle, who is such a sweetheart! The salon itself is very spacious, clean and well decorated. It wasn't crowded when I visited on a Saturday morning which is surprising but I didn't mind not waiting at all. Their music playlist was on point - lots of John Mayer and Michael Buble. Parking is very easy as they have a lot in the back. Prices were also good. I paid $12 for the mani + $12 for the massage. I was also given a $5 coupon for my next visit. Sweet! Cindy, my manicurist, did an excellent job with my manicure. She was kind, not overly chatty and took her time with me. The massage was also fantastic! Just the right amount of pressure which my back desperately needed. I guess the only time I felt a little dissatisfaction was the regular polish color selection. I couldn't find the dark gray color I was looking for but I did find a very deep green which did the trick. Obviously this is not a crazy deal breaker for me. They did have a wide color selection for gel manicures. Overall, I'm very happy with my manicure and the massage. The place was clean and the employees were welcoming. Knocking one star off because my whole nail polish on my middle finger came off, and it's only been 11 days. I've been trying to look for another nail salon that does SNS Nails. I was going to one in Fair Lawn, however, I wasn't too satisfied with their cleanliness and work. I came across this place and messaged them thru Yelp asking if they had any availabilities today and what the prices were for SNS and a pedicure. The owner got back to me in 15 minutes and said I could come now. I arrived shortly after, and the owner approached me saying she would start soaking my nails while I was getting my pedicure done. The owner was very nice and welcoming. She took my coat and scarf and hung it in the closet for me. They don't have a large variety of SNS colors to choose from though. The lady who did my toes was very nice, but my pedicure was just okay - I've had better. I had to ask her to add another coat because it looked like she had done one coat - it was very light. I would try another nail technician to do my pedicure next time. The nail tech who did my powder gel was very nice as well. I like how she asked how short I wanted my nails cut and filed. She did a great job shaping my nails. Even though they were all starting to close the salon, I did not feel rushed. She took her time with each nail, which I liked very much. I would definitely come back! The price for the SNS Nails is a little pricier than what I usually pay for, but the nail tech did a great job. Got a gel manicure with Gina. No joke it was the best manicure I ever got in my entire life. She was so thorough and exact! 100% Worth $30. I also got a pedicure that was done by another woman. I wasn't crazy by the job, but I'm not the type to complain. When I was at the nail drying station the owner noticed me looking down at my toes and insisted that I get back to the chair and personally fixed the toes that weren't done well. Writing this after my third extremely disappointing time here. First, I called ahead of time and said I wanted to do a gel color with a decorative ring finger. They said sure and I came in. The women who started my manicure then told me I would move to another girl to do the decoration. 10 minutes later the girl who I was suppose to go to takes a client. THEN, they start to tell me that the decoration I want wont look good on my finger and I shouldn't do it. I insisted. Once my manicure was done I waited about 15 minutes for the other lady. She came up to me and said what are you waiting for? I replied, for you to finish my nails. She then stormed away saying she doesn't have time for it and she's leaving. So, I had to come back the next day. Second, they had me waiting 25 minutes for a gel manicure that I made an appointment for. And chipped within two days. Finally, today they tried to charge me $25 extra dollars for chrome nail polish. When I said I won't be paying that and that I was leaving the OWNER laughed at me. I moved to Paramus in May and I was so sad that my usual nail place was an hour away! I tried 3 other places before I finally found Nail Avenue and I haven't gone any where else since! Service is great! I love that I can request appointments through Yelp and I get quick responses! Joy does a great job with my pedicures. She's gentle and always makes sure the water is the right temperature. Ivy and Kathy do my UV gel manicure and they are great! They take their time and are not rough! They are very thorough with their services and you get a mini massage while you wait for your nails to dry! Prices are reasonable as well! I always compare nail salons to the one I went to when I lived in Manhattan because that to me was the best salon...since I moved out to the burbs been trying to find a place similar but haven't been able to find anything close but this place is close enough. I've been coming here for some time, they've always done a great job. I normally do a gel manicure ($35) and today I decide to add an accent nail (glitter). Originally I was planning on getting my middle finger and pinkie done in the glitter until I was informed it was an extra $10 for them to do that. I realized that the glitter I picked out was powder gel, so I understood having to pay a little extra for the accent nails but on the board they have posted around the salon an entire manicure with powder gel is ($45) opposed to the normal gel ($35) that being said I think charging an extra $10 for only 4 nails to be dipped is a little steep considering I could've gotten a full set of powder dip for the same price.
