I'm happy to share that ever since the ownership changed (I think a few weeks ago?), the quality of the store has seemed to improve drastically! Parts of the store have been revamped and renovated and they've installed all new pedicure chairs/baths. I'm definitely loving the new color scheme going on and I'm excited to see how it continues to improve moving forward. But let's talk about what's actually important here--the mani/pedi quality. I've only gotten the gel manicure and pedicure from here, but so far I have absolutely no complaints! Gloria, the owner is very attentive and makes sure to ask questions about what style you prefer. Unlicensed unprofessional and Unclean. Avoid this place at all costs. I've been here a bunch of times and was always pleased with the service and the way my nails looked afterward. My gel manicures always last over two weeks. Not this time. This place concerns me for a few reasons.. I see no licenses hanging on the walls which means most likely your nail tech knows nothing other than how to paint your nails and absolutely nothing in terms of how to keep things clean. I also noticed they wash their tools in the sink very quickly and then just lay them out to dry. No other measures were taken. If you dare to come here, you are better off bringing your own. The actual gel mani was awful, the girl didn't even wash her hands before touching me, her own nails were absolutely filthy and she didn't even do a great job on my gel mani. There was topcoat all over my fingers, and she didn't push back my cuticles so they already looked old to begin with. Also the finish wasn't smooth and I can see small bumps underneath. After reading the other two reviews and seeing the $35 gel manicure/pedicure special, I was sold. Knowing that they close at 7:30, I called to ask if it would be too late to make an appointment for 6:40 -- they told me it would be fine to come in. Tina, the General Manager, asked me to pay first -- I tipped 20% out of habit and signed my name on the credit card receipt before even sitting down. Well, the pedicure was completely rushed -- I asked the tech to scrub my feet but she just smiled and said "It's ok, already smooth". Then, without asking what shape I wanted, she over-filed my toenails into tiny squares of different lengths. Very attractive. My gel manicure? It was done with the tech standing, along with the pedicure. The result? Photo speaks for itself. ***And no. I don't bite my nails. *** They were much longer... normal, really -- when I walked into this salon. My nails are now very sore and the nail bed is actually exposed on every finger. I also paid for an eyebrow wax when I walked in -- Tina decided to take that job on herself. I had a really great natural shape, which I just asked her to clean up. I now have thin yarn for eyebrows. Was the place clean? Yes. Was Tina nice about the whole fiasco? Yes -- she even gave me a card for a free gel manicure next time I'm there. I had a great experience at Alamode! Gloria is fantastic and very detailed. This was my first time getting gel extensions from this salon and I am so pleased. I was a bit nervous to go due to COVID-19 but honestly, felt very comfortable and safe. There was plexiglass between me and the manicurist, we were the only two people in the salon, it was very clean, and all the tools she used were only used on me. Everything was throughly sanitized, masks were worn, and an added bonus is that Gloria is very fun to talk to! I will be going back to get my nails refilled soon and I look forward to it. She did a phenomenal job at getting the exact nail shape I was looking for and making them all even. I got.the worst infection after going to this place. Or feels dirty and they don't clean the equipment after each use. I had to go to a podiatrist for treatment and spent a few thousand dollars to get my feet back to a healthy state. I will never go to this place again. 1. I came here due to the reviews -- wasn't pleased but wasn't terribly disappointed either -- but definitely isn't on my top salons to recommend to someone. 2. The place was clean, but I believe they reuse the manicure tools. At least for my appointment they didn't use a new set of tools. 3. I specifically made an appointment with Tina because the reviews speak so highly of her. I called ahead of time to ensure that it was her that did my nails -- I would've waited for her availability if I knew she wasn't going to do my nails. I started off with Tina soaking my nails off but not finishing the job. Which I didn't appreciate because I had made the appointment with her. If I didn't care about who did my nails, I wouldn't have requested her. 4. My nail tech was OK. I definitely wouldn't make an appointment with her again. My gel isn't evenly coated, my nails are all different lengths and shapes and some have chipped already (2 days later). This manicure isn't worth $29 (w/o tip). I'm giving it three stars based on cleanliness of the place, how quickly I was able to get an appointment and how welcoming they were. read more

She will still be rude to you in front of other customers. She lacks customer service and has poor time management. I've been going to this salon for a few years now because I love that its not busy, it's quiet and relaxing, the price is right, employees are professional and friendly and most importantly, it's clean. But recently, I've been quite disappointed. I've noticed that they have cut back on using cloth towels and use more paper towels. Personally, I like the pampered feeling of a soft towel under my feet. But, what really bothered me, like other salons, was that I was asked if I wanted a spa pedicure. I wasn't planning on it and declined. Right before the pedicurist was to paint my nails, I noticed that attention was not given to the heels of my feet. Usually, they get scrubbed and end up very soft and smooth again. So, I asked if she can scrub a bit more. She said that "it's not included with the regular pedicure." Really? It has in the past and/or at other places. Wondering if this is how other nail salons are approaching services. If I have to pay additional at Alamode for services that I can get somewhere else for the regular price, I would rather go elsewhere. read more

This nail salon is horrible. I got opi powder nails done and they were chunky and chipped and off in 3 days. I figure it might just have been a bad day for them. A week later I went back to get gel nails and the gel was applied to my nails so thinly you could see my nails through the get (and it was a dark red color), they didn't file my nails evenly, and they put the gel on so messily that when my hand went under the UV light it burned my nail. Then 2 days later the nails started to chip. The service is horrible and Michelle didn't do a good job. I'm not going back. Save your money and spend an extra $5 to go somewhere where your manicure will last. read more

The prices can't be beat for a gel mani it was only 25$ but the price kinda reflects the quality. After only a week my nails chipped- they fixed it for free as expected but then the next week they chipped again. Good price if you only need them for a one day event but not if you want the gels to last the normal 2-3 weeks. read more

This place is extremely clean, has reasonable prices, and do a fantastic job on nails! My cuticles are always trimmed neatly (no overgrowth of hang nails due to overcutting!), and the polish lasts a very long time. Highly recommended! read more
